  1. My questions:

    1) Will each command crate contain at least 1 piece of gear?

    2) Will there be a CXP reward difference between doing for example EV HM, TFB HM and Ravagers HM?

    3) Will there be Galactic Command rank requirements for wearing gear (think legacy gear)?

    4) What will be the valor requirement for ranked arenas?

    5) Will winning or losing in ranked warzones affect CPX reward so that people will not slack and still get more rewards than in regular warzones?

    6) Can you hint at how significant the benefit of collecting warzone comms is before 5.0? Will it be like how companion affection is handled (a limited boost to the new affection system) or will people with huge stacks of comms rank up very fast at launch?

  2. Well with a max of 1 tank and 1 healer. And the reward bonus would be for all players in the match.

To stimulate the whole community to play different roles and make the fights more interesting (maybe pvp is balanced for tank/damage/damage/heal fights or these are generally more complex and therefore more fun).

Fights would also be longer though. I don't know how this would effect overall rewards.

  3. Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. They named it according to the pattern, but without due cause. KOTOR was literally about the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic.

Knights of the Fallen Empire would imply it's about Knights, Jedi or otherwise, from a fallen E/empire... which it isn't, really, for aforementioned reasons.

Eternal Throne will have the same problem unless the Knights of Zakuul are heavily involved.

I guess Knights is just wording for historic soldier (this setting is many years before the movies and has warriors fighting for both factions).

Knights of the Eternal Throne could be us in the new expansion, we are now serving Zakuul and protect the throne from bad leadership.

  4. I just translated Omophorus his post from your Marauder thread to make it easier to understand for Sentinels.

I hope I made no mistakes. Here his post, but with the names of the Sentinel's abilities.

There are 2 primary Precision Slash patterns, which you basically alternate due to CDs (Precision Slash at 15s, Master Strike at 27-30s).

Precision Slash > Master Strike > Blade Storm

Zen > Precision Slash > Blade Rush x3 > Blade Storm

You do not want to delay Precision Slash use more than 1 GCD past coming off CD (0 of at all possible) so you ideally want each Precision Slash window to start with a fresh Combat Trance,

or at the very least the Blade Rush buff (for the Master Strike window) to minimize the chances of missing a forced crit Blade Storm.

For your second question, no, not exactly.

The primary goal with Combat is to use Precision Slash to CD. If it's sitting up off CD, you're losing DPS fast.

The 2 Precision Slash patterns above have different Focus needs to support.

-The Master Strike pattern requires 3 focus (1 for Precision Slash, 2 for Blade Storm)

-The Zen Blade Rush pattern requires 6 (1 for Precision Slash, 1 per Blade Rush, 2 for Blade Stom).

Thus, in between Precision Slashes, your goal is to ensure that you have what you need available for the next Precision Slash.

For Master Strike, this means a minimum of 3 Focus, and preferably the Blade Rush buff and a fresh Combat Trance if at all possible.

For the Zen pattern, it means a minimum of 6 Focus and 30 stacks of Centering (which you can, if necessary, get the final stacks out of Precision Slash and fast-finger Precision Slash > Zen > Blade Rush to still squeeze 3 into the window).

The secondary goal, after the Zen Precision Slash pattern, is to burn any remaining stacks of Zen ASAP so that you can begin building Centering again.

Advanced players may throw Cauterize in as well for a little extra DPS, but that's not something to worry about at the moment.

For all intents and purposes, you're using Zealous Strike as often as possible to keep Focus up, and then using as many Blade Rushes in between Precision Slash windows as possible without leaving yourself short for the next one (and using Strike to keep things balanced).

It's not quite build-then-dump, because you have very deterministic time targets with very deterministic needs that you need to be planning ahead for.

Without taking damage, Centering becomes the tightest resource, but in actual content it's not a big deal and Zen should be up when needed.

There is a bit of a balancing act needed to ensure that you spend enough Focus to have 30 Centering every other Precision Slash, but not leave yourself resource-starved and thus cost yourself DPS during your peak times (or delay Precision Slash, which is just as bad).

  5. @Delphinhunter

-You should not focus on getting high endurance, always get high strength items, augment and switch guardian armoring (low strength) to might armoring (high strength).

    - You will gain more crit with higher strength.

    - As combat sent I would go back to 30% crit and add to power.

-The two people that responded to me also advise 110 accuracy, but for special attacks, so 100% for normal melee accuracy.

    - Do pvp and get pvp (elite) war hero relics (as combat sent I always went for boundless ages). Should be easy to get in 1.6.

    - Get all datacrons, companion affection buffs, use exotech might stims.

  6. I am a combat sentinel. My gear is optimized at the 61 item level.

    This is my gear.http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/e8707c75-8bec-477b-9cd2-ea9ea6491243

I now have more than 350 BH comms, and would appreciate some advice on what implants to buy and how to rebalance my stats after this.

These two Hazmat implants are available, no power implant :( :

    Hazmat Pummeler's MK-1 Package: 60 accuracy / 76 crit

    Hazmat Pummeler's MK-3 Package: 60 surge / 76 crit

I think I'll take the MK-1 Package since accuracy is preferred over surge in combat and my crit multiplier is above the soft cap.

This is a before and after of my melee damage stats:

    Before:

    Damage (Pri) 1060.2 - 1229.2

    Damage (Sec) 221.8 - 333.3

    Bonus Damage 724.2

    Accuracy 105.89%

    Critical Chance 29.45%

    Critical Multiplier 75.82%

    After:

    Damage (Pri) 1044.4 - 1213.4

    Damage (Sec) 221.8 - 333.3

    Bonus Damage 708.4

    Accuracy 107.39%

    Critical Chance 32.18%

    Critical Multiplier 73.64%

You can see my weapon damage decreases, my accuracy increases and crit rises above the soft cap while crit multiplier falls below the soft cap.

I have 4 molecular stabilizers so I can get an enhancement or mod to rebalance my stats.

    I was thinking of:

    Accuracy/Crit enhancement > Power/Surge enhancement

    After implant + enhancement change:

    Damage (Pri) 1055.0 - 1224.0

    Damage (Sec) 221.8 - 333.3

    Bonus Damage 719.0

    Accuracy 105.97%

    Critical Chance 30.76%

    Critical Multiplier 75.92%

In the end I will have lower weapon damage, more endurance, a bit higher accuracy and crit multiplier, and instead of below the crit soft cap I will be above it. Is this worth the lower weapon damage?

Or should I not rebalance and go with high accuracy instead of high power? But then how do I lower my crit and raise my surge? There are no quick ways to do this to my knowledge.

Or should I not get a hazmat implant at all?

  7. Besides planets from the movies and the KOTOR games I would like to see some of these planets, which are important in some of the best of the Expanded Universe.

    Mon Calamari / Dac

    Bothawui

    Mandalore

    Hapes

    Dathomir

    Honoghr

    Myrkr

    Csilla

    Rhen Var

    Caamas

I especially loved Honoghr and the Noghri species. A forum search shows I'm not the only one.

    Csilla is the Chiss homeworld.

Also additions to the Correllia system, the five worlds, would be great, possible flashpoints.

And maybe ancient locations, made by the Celestials, like Centerpoint station and the Maw: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Celestial
