  1. this needs to be done immediately to have any chance of saving the in game economy. plus crafting isn't fun anymore with how easy it is to get rare mats. with high inflience companions you can get tons of top mats very fast and it ruins the whole profit margin. i prefered it when missions took time. then you had more dedicated crafters.
  2. people are using multiboxing programs to create tons of credits out of thin air as explained in the following thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=893009 first they did it with treasure hunting lockboxes, then that was fixed, then they moved to slicing crewskill lockboxes. whenever you see someone standing in front of a vendor for 24 hours a day they are using crewskills to create credits with slicing lockbox missions and then just vendoring the items for even more credits. then they use multiboxing programs and do it with 15 or more accounts per computer. bioware is very slow to respond. i can't say they are in on it i think they are just way too slow to respond.
  3. this shows how they are running a hell of a lot of accounts. i don't know what the best solution is, that's for the devs to decide. it also explains the huge number of spammers on every server. they are probably using the same method to run multiple accounts on a pc. think about it, all of the spammers on all servers could be running on just one computer using that multiboxing program.
  4. the game is supposed to have grinds. doing your suggestion would devalue gifts from cartel packs, comm crystals, crewskills and probably many other ways. that's like asking why can't we just buy purple mats off npcs for 1k each?
  5. unlike treasure hunting the more people who do it the less profitable it is (which you did point out). then at any time people can spend their 50 to 300 certs or whatever they have stored up and undercut you, thus ruining the profit again.
  6. maybe the treasure hunting lockboxes can drop the crate o matic ? if not then what drops crate o matic, i forget. as for legacy 50, killing monsters 24/7 will lead to that pretty quick.
  7. the crit rate is 40% with maximum influence. +25% at maximum influence plus the base crit of 15% = 40% maximum influence companions are extremely powerful and extremely fast when it comes to crafting and crewskills. the system makes no sense right now and they should triple the durations on all missions, frankly. you often see people post stacks of 3000 for really cheap, some people buy and resell those in smaller stacks.
  8. captcha's are really instrusive and would add a lot of botheration for normal players. the best way for them to deal with this mess would be to increase the mission duration for treasure hunting lockbox missions and slicing lockbox missions from 3.5 minutes to 15 minutes at maximum influence. this way it easily solves the problem and very easy to implement. then they can wait and see what happens and then possibly increase the time duration for other missions if needed.
  9. since doing treasure hunting lockbox missions over and over again is so boring it's safe to say that most of those missions are being run by bots. it really adds no fun to the game, it's mostly just credit generation for bots.

  11. maybe your tin foil is on a little too tight, try loosening it up. http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/843/271/4f8.jpg
  12. thing about inflation is it devalues everyones game currency. so if you have a guy who played 4 months ago and comes back to the game he is going to be pretty dissapointed that he can't buy 20% of what his credits were worth 5 months ago due to inflation.
  13. looks like no changes were made to this crewskill right? i linked it from a thread asking about inflation.... some people point out that this could cause a loss of revenue for the game as people buy credits rather than the cartel items but don't they make most of their money from subs anyway. did they ever put out the numbers of how much money the game gets from subs and how much from cartel market?
  14. massive amounts of credits are being injected into the game from those treasure hunting lockbox missions from crewskills. there was a thread on it. gonna copy the link for you below. so what happens is then people put those bots doing it and it causes a lot of inflation. then people buy the credits genarated from it from the spammers and so on and so forth and you get what you see http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=883467
  15. So they made midlithe crystals and the treasure hunting crewskill worthless? they used to be needed for lots of stuff including dyes, relics, etc what is the purpose of making the treasure hunting skill worthless?
  16. i admire the way you said that.
  17. but still demand should be less. i wonder how long before new mats are introduced
  18. well the point is made, i'm surprised they don't delete those threads
  19. i'm all for giving people options. not that i would buy one though
  20. this is a pretty bad idea that would devalue crewskills and crafting significantly. price of mats and crafted items would drop by a lot. the current system is actually a pretty cool system and rewards people who put in a little effort.
