  1. Necroing an old thread. Having an issue with this mission at the moment: Found all the components that require scanning with the excavator, and tried to mail the part from Coruscant to my toon that's doing the majority of the mission. Was told I can't mail that item. Did this change since 5.0, or do I have to find the remaining two components in False Emperor and Maelstrom Prison first? Any point in the right direction would be appreciated.
  2. So do I, especially given what Malora said about how Malgus was supposedly reconstructed (heard a rumor that he was put back together with Lord Scourge but that's more than likely not true). Speaking of, be nice to know when Kira, Scourge, Zenith, Tharan, and whoever else is still missing are coming back because, TBH, I was hoping my JK could've broken up with Lana by now as I don't really like the way it's going (that's just me though).
  3. Figured this was the place to post this but does anyone else like reading/listening to creepy pastas? If so, where do you find them and which authors/posters are your go-tos? I listen to them on YouTube; in particular: CreepsMcPasta, CreepyPastaJr, and Unit #522. Hopefully, I'm not the only weird one out there who enjoys this stuff.
  4. Also, SW story finishes before SI from Corellia to Korriban as in the SW cutscenes, Darth Thanaton is still alive.
  5. Have to agree. Granted, I have yet to run this FP on Veteran, but on Solo, never really had an issue with it. Yeah, it can be long to run it through when you're not stealthed, but Battle for Ilum and False Emperor weren't exactly short either. Anyway, the biggest part I had an issue with was the giant droid boss, but if you use Heroic Moment, get the influence with Raina Temple up with Companion Gifts, and move around as often as possible while using the kolto stations, it's not that difficult to beat. Only ever died on this fight once with my Sith Marauder and that was only because I didn't gear properly beforehand.
  6. Good point. Didn't even think of THX 1138. Read the pamphlet you wrote, and I like it. Sets the mood for the average Imperial citizen and what life might be like for them under the rule of the Sith and Imperial Army.
  7. You should have it then, but like FlameYOL mentioned, a bug might've been introduced since the chapter was first released. It's been a while since I've ran through KOTFE but maybe it shows up on your character sheet after you complete the whole expansion, if you haven't already.
  8. How interesting that I came across this thread just as I finished writing about a thousand words on my Boondock Saints fanfiction I'm trying to finish. Funny how things work out like that. Anyway, here's my bit for this topic: When I finally got enough guts to publish what I wrote on Fanfiction.net, it started out as one-shots, specifically Sailor Moon, and they were okay, at best but I was willing to jump into the pit regardless. I received some decent feedback, so I decided to try my hand at a multi-chapter fanfic based around REPO! The Genetic Opera. This might as well have exploded as it turned into a thirty-one chapter fic that damn near ran away from me, but I found that this writing style worked well for me. I get started with a basic idea, start writing the first chapter, then see where it goes and just run with it. I prefer to use Word when I'm on my laptop but I have notebooks filled with random writings and notes from various ideas that pop up at all times. Only problem with that is when I'm in the middle of writing out one idea and another decides to intrude, I feel as though I have to start working on the new one before it vanishes. When it comes to the dreaded writer's block, I use a variety of things to overcome it: paint, read (usually five books at once), play SWTOR or ESO, listen to creepy-pastas on YouTube, or say screw it and just start writing anyway (can always go back and edit it later). Usually, one or a few of these works pretty well. When I finally finish some of the fanfictions I'm currently writing, I already have an idea for a novel. So far, it's been inspired by the works of Anthony Burgess, George Orwell, and Aldous Huxley, so sort of a dystopian-style theme but not quite, I don't know. Still tinkering with it. I like how Burgess writes his own sort of language (A Clockwork Orange); Orwell's view of an overbearing government; and Huxley's separation of the social classes by use of genetic manipulation. Alright, that's enough rambling from me.
  9. First class story I ever played was the Sith Inquisitor, female, DS, and I loved it. I think it was Khem's dialogue that really hooked me after the SI released him from Naga Sadow's tomb as he keeps saying how he could Force-devour SI at any moment he wants to. It's also the Dashade language that's intriguing as it reminds me of (dare I say) the Black Speech used by the lands of Mordor in LOTR. Anyway, that's my bit of nostalgia.
  10. I won't be going to Anthem but I might go back to ESO or even Battlefront II for a while, depending on how the Anthem launch affects TOR. I've enjoyed SWTOR since I started playing in early 2015 (late comer, I know), but it's not the only game I play. I know most aren't thrilled with Elder Scrolls but I find that I'm liking ESO. As for Battlefront II, currently stuck on the TIE fighter platform on Endor but if I really feel like it, I can always YouTube the strategy I need. Anyway, until I hear otherwise, I'll be sticking (mostly) with Star Wars as it's the first MMO that I've actually enjoyed (couldn't get into WoW or EverQuest). Hopefully, and this is probably just wishful thinking, if and when it does die, BW/EA/Disney might be smart enough to release what was put out on a DVD-ROM or permanent download that we could keep, but that would require a great deal of re-working, especially the OPS and FPS that require groups.
  11. Well, son of a gun. Guess we're playing the Waiting Game at the moment.
  12. I would seriously be on board with this as it sounds like a lot of fun and challenging because you'd have to get into the mind of the companion the letter would be from. Also, maybe not make the letters just from LIs too?
  13. This can be very useful when going up against some of the tougher bosses in KOTFE and KOTET.
  14. It's been a while since I've done this FP but, if I'm not mistaken, I think there's a beacon that appears in the area that you can use to exit the phase. Try running it again and if that does appear, try to use it. Hopefully, this helps.
  15. I always figured Baras never slept because of how paranoid he always acted. Wouldn't surprise me if that turned out to be true.
  16. Could depend on how many Crew Skill missions you send your companions on as they would gain points based on your alignment toggle. However, from what I've seen, the choices you make in conversations usually outweigh those missions, so you very well may end up with a Light Side ending. Anyone feel free to correct me on this.
  17. I.E., War of the Machines operation on Iokath. Be nice to be able to get rid of that one since I absolutely suck at doing Ops.
  18. That would be very helpful as I don't have any companions who are level 50, although like you said, it's not that hard to do these days. One thing I do have to do next time I play my Sage is see what I've chosen for Combat Proficiencies and see what my specs are at as far as Mastery, Critical, and everything else goes.
  19. About to run this myself but never done the test server before. About how long does it take for everything to download? Launcher's on Main Assets 291 right now.
  20. Thanks for all the advice! I don't know when I'll attempt this again but I'll make sure to do everything you guys suggested. Let me know how that goes as my Sorc is at about the same level.
  21. Attempted the Veteran Star Fortress over Alderaan again, and once again, got my butt kicked by the Praetorian Droid on the Skytrooper Production Floor. Jedi Sage; level 70; gear rank: 232; companion: Qyzen Fess at influence level 21; Alliance Specialists influence rank at 10. Can't recall the other specs right now but is there anything else I should be doing in order to complete this solo?
  22. Noted. Thank you, sir. I will give that a try a little later.
  23. Looking to do the Star Fortresses myself, but I remember on the second run through, I would almost always get my butt handed to me, no matter what my gear or companion influence was. Even teamed up with another player and we still got beat. Tried to do one recently and the first time through was pretty easy. However, I'm not sure how to go through again in order to destroy the Star Fortress. How do I pick this up as I kind of feel like an idiot now. Trying to do this with my Jedi Sage.
  24. I may have a few pieces of that set but I'll have to check to be certain. I'm on Star Forge, so as soon as I take a look, I'll let you know.
