  1. First, please add ways to earn light side and dark side tokens that do not rely on leveling up Galactic Command ranks. As it stands, I often have to interrupt my playing of one of my characters in order to delay hitting the next GC rank until the matching alignment side is winning. I have a 70th level light side character and a 70th level dark side character. I'm trying to earn dark side tokens for some of the cosmetic gear, but have only brief periods to actually finish the GC rank up since (at least on Harbinger) the balance is toward dark side for just a few minutes before jumping back to light side. Galactic Command is a huge grind, but I do it for the tokens (and maybe a chance at some different looking gear). Right now, earning those tokens seems to be at a snail's pace. As GC rank increases, it just slows down even more. I have one character at GC rank 30 (light side), and I've been able to get 3 pieces of 1 set of armor. Even if I were to take a few of my other 65th level alts to 70th level and start getting GC ranks on them, I'd still never be able to earn enough tokens to finish a set and get something like one of the vehicles...and that's just light side. Second, I think the light and dark side vendors should be given larger alignment-specific inventories. The light side vendor could use things like a light side flair, a white or pale yellow weapon tuning (maybe something that surrounds 1/3-1/2 of a lightsaber blade or blaster barrel), some trooper and smuggler style armors that say "good guy/girl" just looking at it, a light side title or two, maybe a few cybernetic hand parts that are all shiny and stylish (like Anakin's when it was brand new, one for right hand, one for left, and maybe a set with both robotic), maybe even a customization unlock for pale blue eyes like Senya has (for all races). The dark side vendor could carry thing like a dark side flair, a dark purple weapon tuning, some nasty looking heavy and stealthy armors (for those bounty hunters and agents), dark side titles, a few cybernetic hand parts that are dark or less advanced looking (because why replace a normal hand with something nice looking when it can be intimidating instead?), maybe customization unlocks for dark side eyes (for all races) without the sickly veiny skin changes.
  2. I have a pair of shortcuts I use right now: 1 leads to my collection of 15ish custom loadscreens (I don't use the same one every day), 1 leads to the swtor loadscreen folder (because I have to overwrite the existing one with a copy of my newer one(s). It's only a total of about 10 seconds to do (after waiting while the launcher restores the default one and the play button lights up), it's just a mildly annoying hassle. I could do a batch file, but then I wouldn't get to pick and choose which one to use. I also sometimes just delete the default one altogether if I don't feel like looking at a loadscreen while graphics render behind it. This makes things interesting as you see models appear and layers of textures and lighting get applied. I know it's just a minor suggestion, and it'll likely get missed by the developers, but I figured I'd make it anyway. BioWare once made a minor change to a game that I suggested, so it wouldn't be unheard of.
  3. I get that BW wants us to think about whatever the latest expansion is, with the generally cool artwork used as the loadscreen image. However, it's a loooong time between expansions. Looking at the same loadscreen all the time gets boring. I had to look at the Shadow of Revan one for almost a year, then the Knights of the Fallen Empire one over a year, and now we've got the KotET one that will likely be there forever. To remedy this boredom, I've taken to making my own with screenshots from the game. The problem arises when the launcher replaces my image with the default one every time I start the game. Not that it takes long, but it's extra time for the game to "fix" the loadscreen image, then for me to overwrite it again with my own (because I keep backups). It's just annoying. Suggestion: Change the launcher so it replaces the loadscreen image only when there's an actual game update or patch.
  4. Yup, for maximum tokens, do most of the work to level up your command rank, leave the last little bit for the victory phase hour (when your side wins), finish during that hour, try to finish a 2nd command rank in that hour, then use the off time to build almost up to another rank increase. Yeah, I'm doing the galactic command for the tokens, since I never got the dread master armor lots of it is based on. Luckily my guy is light side on Harbinger, so I'm up to a whole 7 tokens after two days of casual play. With the fact that I usually solo play (so probably won't kill any light bosses) and I haven't noticed dark side win while I was online, I think it may take a long time to get enough dark side tokens to get anything.
  5. With the change to light/dark character alignment (increasing range from 10,000 light or dark), choices we make in-character matter much less now to character development. I realize that adding alignment changes to all the companion skill missions means there are more points involved, but I think that changing just conversation alignment changes (increasing them by x10, just like the maximum ranges) would make the "choices" our characters make matter again. 50 points for a regular dark/light conversation choice currently is really the same as reducing the same choices to 5 points under the old ranges.
  6. I do not like the removal of the bounty hunter's signature attack (flamethrower). Even at high levels I use it for every one of my bounty hunter characters, just for the satisfaction of finishing off enemies with style.
  7. I agree. Add them to collections so they can be unlocked. They're quite rare and very expensive on the GTN. I actually bought a hypercrate off the GTN to try to get one because it was cheaper than the tuning I wanted. As a temporary workaround, I pass the one I got out of a DvL reward crate via legacy weapons (Niko's pistols). Costs about 20k credits each time (about 10k to remove from the weapon it's in, then another 10k after I've mailed it to an alt for their use). It does mean I can't get multiple of the same tuning on the same or different characters, but it's better than saving up millions of credits to get another off the GTN.
  8. There is an incorrect image given in the pack opening window for one particular armor set. This has happened to me twice in the last few days, but tonight I remembered to get a screenshot. When you receive the Ceremonial Armor Set, it shows a picture of the Ceremonial Mystic Armor Set. I was very disappointed the first time it happened (thinking I was getting something cool looking from a Grand Chance Cube and then not finding it in my inventory). Screenshot: https://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/12/49/97/77/bug_ce11.jpg Edited to add: Turns out the problem is also when viewing the armor set in the Item Stash: Screenshot: https://i97.servimg.com/u/f97/12/49/97/77/bug_ce12.jpg
  9. Depressing news. There is still a lot of community involvement in keeping at least one of those games alive (Neverwinter Nights), and the BioWare forum is the primary communications hub (with incredible amounts of knowledge and information recorded there which will be lost if it can't be salvaged by volunteers).
  10. Just got it in the mail, put it on a wall in my stronghold to test if the preview window was wrong or something. Please, please change the image on it to at least match the one found on the fallen-empire rewards page (which is a pretty good image and made me consider using the poster). The one that actually shows up in-game looks like crap...in fact, it actually looks like a bad paint-over of a player character wearing the HK-55 helmet.
  11. With all the build up, you'd think what the smuggler gets for finishing his/her treasure hunt would be something other than disappointing. The smuggler is supposed to end up fabulously wealthy, right? I remembered to write down exactly what I got for finishing...2,770 credits, 12 common data crystals, and a box with plain blue-border bracers and implant. I could do the three heroic missions on Ord Mantell in 5 minutes or so and come out with better loot. How about something worthwhile that you can't get any other way? Maybe at least add in one or more of these (Bind on Pickup or Bind on Legacy, so you can't just get them on the GTN): - a Dubrillian (spelling?) speeder (that isn't just a recolor of an existing design) - a unique blaster pistol - a "royal treasure" style stronghold decoration - a bright gold & jeweled armor piece (belt, bracers, crown, etc.) to show off some of that "fabulous wealth" - a "toy" item that you can use to make it look like you're just throwing coins around because you're now so "fabulously wealthy" that you can treat money like it's worthless (maybe even have it cause other players within a couple meters to pick up said dropped coins for a few seconds, giving them 1 or 2 credits). The way the treasure hunt rewards you now, it might just be more satisfying if we could dump a certain pushy woman out the airlock and save the hassle.
  12. Sky Ridge Targeter's Sniper Rifle (and other class reward weapons from Shadow of Revan/Rishi missions). The lightning and damaged tunings would both be believable coming from weapons swiped from space pirates.
  13. There IS a workaround for this that I discovered while playing around with things: 1. Go to Abilities (P). 2. Go to Vehicles. 3. Click on the Favorite None button. 4. Tick the checkbox for each vehicle/mount you really do want to use with Activate Random Mount. 5. Enjoy your new lack of Random Rocket Boost.
  14. To remove Rocket Boost from your random mount ability: Go to your Abilities panel (P), click on vehicles, click on the "favorite none" button (which will clear all favorites, even Rocket Boost), then reselect the ones you want to mark as favorites for use with the Activate Random Mount ability.
  15. I think they should adjust the brightness and resolution of the "additional" hairstyles (afro, dreadlocks, shaggy, etc.) so they match the coloration of existing hairstyles. They always look too washed out, bright, and low-resolution compared to regular styles.
  16. Greysight - A Jedi sentinel with a martial bent, he opts for a pair of razor sharp vibroblades instead of flashy lightsabers.
  17. Agreed. Now I've got something in every character's mail than none of them will ever use. I tried it out on a couple of my characters, checking with multiple dyes...it looks rather dorky on all of them. I like HK-55. I was glad to get him to use as my main character's everyday companion. I don't need to wear his face as a mask (which is what it really is, not a full head-replacing helmet).
  18. Someone on the SWTOR subreddit was asking for Imperial Agent looks, so I figured I'd share mine here as well. Ghostwatcher
  19. I agree. Corellia is supposed to be this heavily industrialized world, but travel there is remarkably inefficient. Sure, you've got rocket trams instead of taxis, but you'd think roads would be designed for people that have their own speeders and for moving industrial goods/equipment from one factory to the next. I have a feeling the layout was originally designed to slow players down, seeing as it's the last planet for all the class storylines, and they want you to get the sense that it's a big, busy place. But really, it's more frustrating than fun to get from point A to point B when the roads to anywhere are all way longer than they logically should be.
  20. The lag...so much missed CC codes....
  21. I've been a player for almost a year and a half now, and I'm starting to be bored with some of the recurring events. Instead of just complaining, though, I figured I'd come up with suggestions for a few recurring event ideas, based on existing in-game lore/locations. I've even included some ideas for missions and rewards to go along with each idea, as a starting point for BioWare. BioWare, I know you are focusing a lot of effort on content for the Knights of the Fallen Empire, but I think I speak for many that would like to have some newer content that we don't have to wait until level 60+ to enjoy. 1) Esh-kha Unleashed: Some particularly violent Esh-kha have managed to escape from Belsavis and are invading (random planet, similar to how rakghoul event gets based on different worlds). They have to be stopped before they can get a real foothold for invasion of the rest of the galaxy. - mission ideas: - - blind them: take out x amount of scouts - - thin the horde: eliminate x amount of warriors - - silence the esh-kha: hunt down savants and their defenders - - end of parole: capture x amount of leaders for transport back to prison - - Warmaker: heroic/ops instance to defeat big bad Esh-kha king/queen - reward ideas: - - title: "Warden of the Rakata" - - title: "Judge and Jury" - - gear sets: Esh-kha Containment gear, Rakata Enhanced gear - - decorations: rakata and/or esh-kha themed stuff - - pets: miniature versions of some of the critters on Belsavis - - new color crystal: blue-red or blue-red striated (blue core, red outer...aka "police light crystal") - special currency: Esh-kha cultural totem - reputation tokens: Esh-kha patriarch, savant, and warleader poetry 2) Fear Itself: One of the Dread Masters' corrupting machines made it off Oricon and landed on (again, random/rotating planet location), making people insane with fear, turning some creatures into murderous monsters. - mission ideas: - - shield with courage: use a special jedi or sith holocron to restore sanity to x amount of NPCs - - justice for all: defeat x amount of murderously insane people/creatures - - terrorforming: destroy x amount of corruption/terraforming machines (similar to mission on Oricon) - - converted fanatics: collect x amount of helmets/masks from people that willingly follow the Dread Masters, and go so far as to copy their look to spread fear - - Terror Machine: heroic/ops instance to destroy the machine that's the original source of all of this, which came from Oricon - reward ideas: - - title: "Stoic" - - title: "Pillar of Sanity" - - gear set: Crystalline Focus gear (faceted/geometric shaped gear rather than organic looking - basically the opposite of stuff from Oricon) - - decorations: various jedi/sith focusing objects, terrorizing art - - pets: miniature version of something from Oricon - - new color crystal: purple-red striated (because it just seems like it would be sanity-stressing to me) - special currency: Vial of fear-inducing chemicals - reputation tokens: Dread Master holorecordings 3) Digital Rebellion: Balmorran battle droids have been shipped to (some planet), but someone (maybe a disgruntled person that hates both the empire (for their invasion) and the republic (for their inaction)) infected the droids with a virus that has turned them against every organic being they find. - mission ideas: - - disable scouts: destroy x amount of scout droids before they can transmit reports of opposition forces - - endless forces: destroy x amount of battle droids that are marching across an open field toward an imperial or republic fort - - they just keep coming: defeat x amount of droids, then fry them with special ion grenades so they can't be repaired or used for parts by other droids later - - raw materials: droids are mining raw materials they need to build more of themselves, destroy the mining droids - - Mother Dear: heroic/ops instance to defeat a giant droid that constantly drops/spawns other battle droids that are built inside it - reward ideas: - - title: "Droid Recycler" - - title: "Ionic Energy Expert" - - gear set: Droid Salvager gear sets (looks like they're made from pieces of existing droids) - - decorations: various droids in various states of functionality - - pets: mouse droid, miniature M1-4X style droid - - new color crystal: yellow-white (yellow core, white outer) - special currency: Droid memory core - reputation tokens: Droid design schematics All rewards/purchases bind to legacy or bind on pickup (so only players that actually do the events can show off the bling). Personally, I think titles could be reputation-based, but I'd prefer other rewards be purchaseable via special currency (like the jawa goods in the rakghoul event or life day rewards). I'm a casual player and don't even bother with the gree event because I don't want to grind constantly for huge amounts of reputation, over multiple events, just to be able to quality for one or two things I might be mildly interested in getting. I prefer possibly saving up special currencies (like the dna canisters or snow-covered parcels) to get reasonably priced items that may only be available during events.
  22. I usually play damage type characters, so I decided to try my hand at playing a healer. He'lar (yes, pronounced "healer") is designed to make his chosen role obvious to anyone seeing him. White and red colors, First Responder title (from rakghoul events), mostly-white lightsaber blade (blue core with bloom on)...kind of overdone, but I like him. Pics and info: He'lar
  23. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a Santa themed character after seeing the Vectron J0-1Y speeder on the Life Day vendor. My apologies to all the players I had to pepper with snowballs to get enough snow covered parcels to afford it. This is my "Dark Santa", a bounty hunter that keeps all the good stuff for himself. He's definitely not a nice guy. Poor Mako complained all the time, but now he's got the slick Gault to be his "helpful elf". Pics and info: Dark'santa
  24. I bought the cannon for my main character. Noticed a little bonus: the effect from the snowball cannon is a different one (and had a different icon) from the snowball bomb...meaning you can potentially get two parcels from the same target a few seconds apart (It's done that for me twice now).
  25. I just picked up a new legacy title with my character that I'm running through KotFE, and it's a perfect fit for a character I started months ago (but I got sidetracked and he's still sitting at about 20th level). I also happened to have picked up a title that matches a different character's name/theme. My sniper is named Ghostwatcher (since she makes lots of people into ghosts). She later gained the legacy title "Speaker for the Dead". My Republic commando with the assault cannon, named Barrager, (who is designed to look like a killer droid) will now get the new title "Fully Armed and Operational" I just earned via a heroic KotFE star fortress run. Anybody else end up with a great character-specific or legacy title that perfectly fits a character they already had/have?
