  1. Hey by all means, fine if you aren't happy with the game, then unsub. That's every person's right. Heck I did it from wow 2 years ago when I was unhappy with the direction game development was taking. But don't expect your leaving to be more than a minor dent in their monthly revenue. I mean at this point we're only part way into the story of this new expac. If I were the Dev's of this game and I was slowly developing new group content I'd keep my trap shut until it was ready to release. The community support on these forums for the Dev is utter trash. Every little slight or bug is met by tons of posts demanding firings, calling out Devs personally on other forums. It's rediculous over a GAME. If the hardcore scene is fed up, take some time off, and wait to see what happens. Either you'll get content in the future and come back or they won't and they'll move on to the next big thing. Either way the game is still gonna be here and a game is no reason to be butt hurt.
  2. You know what, that's fine and dandy that they do help out the community by posting strats and guides. It's much appreciated by all. But here's the deal. Do they do it because they love the game and want to help make it better? If so yeah, I'll give them all the props they rightfully deserve. Are they like the OP, and think that all lesser mortals not in NIM gear riding NIM mounts should bow down to their greatness? Then I'm gonna point and laugh at their misplaced sense of epeen all day long.
  3. Why on earth do guys like the op think they "inspire the community"? Most of us could care less what mount you're on or what gear you're wearing?
  4. OK just getting ready to hit 65, here is my advice. First finish up all the star fortress missions and heroics. 2 reasons, first the heroics will give you a nice chunk of basic crystals and some glowings. Also the box turn ins will increase your alliance rep. You get bonus crystals every 2 levels that you increase your alliance rep. Also the first star fortress you unlock will give you a lock box with a random 208 pc. The star fortresses them selves also drop 216 pieces. Run thru all those and see where you end up. Then buy the remaining pieces with crystals. Try and save the glowing and radiant crystals for an off hand and relics. As for crafting and reverse engineering your way to 216 pieces, they are very material intensive. The 208 blues require a good chunk of materials that drop only from flashpoints and ops. The 216 ones require a material you get from completing your personal conquest goals. If I would craft anything it would be a main hand, until you could get a 216 token main hand. Also I really wouldn't bother augmenting anything until it is a solid 216 piece you plan on keeping for a while.
  5. There are only 3 planets that really bother me. Belsavis. I hate that place for the sheer number of Eshka you end up fighting and the fact everyone of the stinking buggers has a stun of some sort. Voss. If everything I do there fulfills some damn prophecy, then tell me at the start and get out of my road instead of sending me hither and yon you fruitloop colored bastards! And finally Hoth, but only when it's winter in real life. If it's already cold out, I don't want to be looking at a planet that makes me shiver just staring at the screen.
  6. I bet the op would even complain about receiving a gold plated gold brick as a gift....
  7. Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya! (Also can I haz your stuff?)
  8. So instead of seeking out content that was a challenge, like hardmode flashpoints and ops, that don't require comps, you'd rather slum it in the kiddie pool and complain it too easy? Please! If you're all about the personal challenge, set your own goals and go out and do it instead of complaining about what other people do.

    Koth

Him Quinn betrayed my Jugg and ended up with a bionic head, hand and foot for the effort. Koth is just somewhat annoying. I'll take Koth over Quinn any day. Or better yet leave em both to rot somewhere and run around with Lana.
  10. There is a simple answer for that question, don't like it don't buy it. I thought it was well worth the price for new model speeder with a mount flourish. At at the end of, if I'm buying for myself it's my decision to spend the CC's. Again, don't like it don't buy it and don't complain about the price if you aren't gonna buy it.
  11. OK just had a scary thought. What if Vit is setting up these empires as gardens or farms? Once they are strong enough or established enough or have a large enough population, he then consumes it?
  12. In my case I tend to use Ziost to get off spec gear. Caveat being that I normally tend to level toons as either tank/dps or heals/dps. The first toon for me to level as only dps is a sniper at level 40. Also I'm somewhat compulsive about upgrading gear at the start of each planet, so the crafting works wonders for me for comp gear. It's a nice feeling to not have to struggle with anything short of a heroic 4, if I feel like soloing the heroics while leveling.
  13. No biggie. My normal strat is to save as many as possible so I have to make or buy as little as possible off the GTN. For me the 186 gear is just that starter gear to get my foot in the door of hardmode flash points and story mode ops. I only buy off mods for my comp's main and off hands. Everything else is green crafted items. One it's cheap. Two it's a good way to level professions on various alts and use up old matts that are sitting in my legacy vault. And 3 with the speed of leveling with 12x exp and a 10% guild bonus I don't feel bad about upgrading them every 4 levels. I've actually been toying with the idea of throwing some lower level greens on the GTN to see how they would sell as well. I think it would be a good market right now especially with the amount of torgruta that people are leveling.
  14. You realize a full set of 186 gear from the basic comms vendor is over 1100 basic coms? That 300 from forged alliances is a drop in the bucket. I prefer to have enough coms to gear the minute I turn 60 and not drag it out.
  15. Simple, keep cybertech and use the green patterns to gear comps. Save comms for level 60.
  16. Oh! I didn't even think of it being a recolor of that! Thanks much!
  17. I'm trying to track down the armor models from the sixth line jedi on Ziost for my new Togruta knight, but I'm not having much luck. I've checked on TOR fashion and I've come up empty on finding anything close. If anyone has found a set that's close or put together one I'd appreciate any info. Thanks!
  18. Actually I've gotten a full set of it in crates, plus I think the extra lower parts while trying for the Dark Legionnaire stuff. Now that I never saw one piece of after opening about 20 packs.
  19. I was wondering if that was the case. I was lucky enough to have 2 items drop last night in the same run. But I wasn't sure if that was random, based on the party make up, or if each boss had an actual loot table. (I'm a WOW expat so that was my first thought) Thanks much for the info!
  20. Does anyone know of a database covering gear dropped in the individual 60 hardmode flashpoints? I recently hit 60 and purchased 186 basic coms gear and started running hard modes for elite coms and drops. But I was wondering if there were certain flashpoints I should look at for drops for shield tech vanguard loot, or are all the loot drops shared? Any help would be great! Thanks!
  21. This is basically what I did. I finished up my story line at 51, then I bought makeb enchancements with blue mod and armorings from my cybertech. I was 56 after I finished Ilium, Section X, Black Hole, and CZ-198. With the bolster and some rested, I was 57 when I finished makeb. Ran the forged alliances lines and was 59 setting foot on Rishi. Made questing thr Rishi a breeze.
  22. Must be the fact that I'm not too far along in the pub side quests (again only up to hoth so far). Just seems odd to see so many turn coats .
  23. True I did forget to add Dorne to the list so good call. Also I haven't played thru any of the jedi quest lines so I hadn't seen the imperial defectors there. As for sith turning on sith, that's the natural order of affairs among the sith. Cull the weak so the strong survive sort of thing. I guess I should play some of the jedi quest lines and see if the numbers start to even out.
  24. Ok I've been playing thru both the Powertech and Vanguard questlines (powertech on corellia and my vanguard on hoth). For some reason about every planet I go to on my Vanguard there is a republic officer somewhere in the story defecting to the sith empire (balmorra, quesh and hoth). Heck your first act class quest is all about defectors. And I've even found one on corellia in my Powertech questlines. However I've only seen a total of 2 imperial defectors trying to go to the republic (one in the Black Talon and one on quesh on the republic side.) Does the republic just get that crappy of writing or do they figure that almost no one is dumb enough to cross the sith empire by defecting? I mean it's begun annoying my to the point on pub side I've started executing defectors instead of bringing them in. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?
  25. I definitely want to see all the story so it sounds like I'm going to off to Illium. I generally on play my BH with 2 irl friends so leveling speed and getting to SOR as fast as possible isn't the priority. Thanks much for the advice.
