  1. I have made a video about exactly this, watch it here Nothing to add really, it has been around forever and probably is one of the harder things to fix....
  2. Yes. It disappears if said person dies though. You get the 5% PvP dmg bonus as long as you see the "Guard" buff on your bar.
  3. Sure it might be classed as a general issue, but then again, when does this ever affect you in PvE...? Thought so.
  4. @Moondancerbb: No, haven't encountered that. This does sound like the same sync issue basically, and I don't think anything in your gfx settings could affect this...
  5. When CCing moving targets in PvP you always see your target jump to a different spot after the CC has run out, this is ridiculous... I made a short video of what I'm talking about in case you have never encountered this (yeah right): SWTOR PvP lag issue when CCing moving targets (YouTube) This is not an issue with Force Speed, e.g. it also happens on characters that just run/walk on a firepit and get CC'd, but actually they are not on the fire spot, but rather have passed it already, well... not on the picture you see on your client though. There must be some weird issue with the synchronization between the server and client side, at a ping of 50-60ms to the game server my connection is not the issue. I really hope they are taking a look at their netcode soon.
  6. I would love to see this change because right now it's just a feeling of being "forced" to finish these dailys/weeklys. On the other hand it will break down to warzones being the only thing you will do for pvp progression, since you don't gain commendations anywhere else.
  7. I would tend to go for the Stalker staff simply because with the huge jump in crit rating you will get that extra burst needed in certain encounters, some ppl might argue that the loss of Power from champion to battlemaster hurts, but I myself prefer Crit rating over Power. Priority should be the Stalker staff imo, you can still buy the Survivor saber in the end if you want to. Also I prefer the Survivor armor set bonus over the Stalker one, so I got myself the BM Survivor set and modded it with the Stalker mods, so I have zero loss of dps from the Stalker set but can use Spike more frequently and gain a monstrous 5% dmg while guarding. Just hope they will introduce End,Crit,Power mods in the future so I can swap out some of those almost useless Surge ones soon.
  8. That is really quite low considering you said you were decked out in "endgame gear". When I had to respec to DPS Madness for an operation I was sitting at 36% critical chance and that was without the 5% IA buff. It's impossible for Darkness to out-dps Madness, especially in a rather "long" fight like the eternal council where you would get many dot cycles in on your target.
  9. Not embarassing imo, this happens to me all the time, you can't look into ppl's heads... a) do they have their Pull off CD, b) do they want to use it on me or not, c) do they even know they have such an abiiity I'd rather pass it and have someone past the firepit force speed to the goal line, than standing infront of the pit waiting for a pull that might never happen.
  10. It pretty much depends on what class you're speaking of, so far I've seen 2 classes that get a massive 15% crit chance increase on one of their main attacks with only the 2point PvE gear bonus, think it was Operatives and Mercenaries, other classes, like Assassin need 4 for that. Some classes get a whole lot more from mixing their PvE/PvP sets, quite an imbalance in that regard.
  11. Instead of consuming that shock frozen water, they should have made it so you cannot use it in a warzone or if you have been part of pvp activity in the last 30 seconds or something similar. I hate to use my recover skill again
