  1. Yeah, OP, I think you misunderstood something. The free 60 and the paid 60 are the same thing, both start in KotFE.
  2. Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
  3. DOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! This thread is DOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Um....what? PC gaming existed long before the iPhone. Either you're too young to know this, or you've just come out from under a rock "recently." I remember gaming on the PC in the mid to late 80's when my school set up their first computer lab with IBM's. I don't necessarily call that recently. Heck I returned to PC gaming in '97ish, and I still don't consider that recently.
  5. I'm posting this because whenever I do a dev comes along and proves me a liar. So here I go... I really hope a dev answers you but calling out devs to read something is a sure fired way to get the thread ignored. It's a can of worms they tend to not want to open. With that said, I'm with you. As soon as I heard that line about bowing, my character and I looked at each other and nodded our heads. I would love to see a third faction added.
  6. Hancock, Maryland...40 West represent!
  7. Open Beta/Lifetime STO member here, checkin' in.
  8. Breaking who out...Marr gets one shot and my character is kneeling and kissing Val's toes.
  9. So...in a nutshell....we agree on a lot of things here. We just don't agree on the significance of the changes. The way I see and explain things comes from being an IT guy and a Correctional Officer, I've learned to dumb things down a lot, and tell the public, "there's nothing to see here, we have things under control," while a riot is going on behind me.
  10. Never understood these threads. At it's core, Windows has not changed significantly since XP. The major changes from XP to Vista was forcing everyone to go to NTFS and further separation from MS-DOS. I was already using NTFS with XP, so I didn't see much change. Fundamentally, the difference from XP to 10 is minute backend changes which cause hardware to fail without updated drivers. Most of the changes have been cosmetic. A lot of the panic about games working stems from the aforementioned move away from MS-DOS which caused a lot of older games to stop working on Vista and 7. So with every new iteration of Windows the same threads pop up everywhere for every game. Basically, games that ran fine on 7 are going to work on 10. Most problems that arise can be attributed to hardware issues. That is until Microsoft changes the kernel (for lack of a better term) significantly.
  11. Apples and oranges sitting in the same bowl, as simple as that.
  12. It can't be any worse than what Cryptic is going to do with Star Trek Online. It looks like they're going to use some form of time travel to reset the story. That's why I'm here, as this has me intrigued and has caused me to resub, and to rush my characters to 60.
  13. You did buddy. I had that whole conversation play out like a Seinfeld episode.
  14. I've been off and on over the last couple of years, but I've finally buckled down on my Inquisitor and just finished his main class story, and I absolutely loved it. I'd recommend it for anyone who feels that they are the underdog. Next I'm gonna finish my Agent. I'm enjoying her story and I only just got off the starter planet. From there, I should be able to level one more, I have a warrior and trooper started, but because of this thread I may go smuggler.
