And if you don't PVP? yes, it is. The removal of 208 gear makes things more difficult for PVE. Used to be you were almost sure to get 208 gear at level 65, and with the rewards for SoR and a few heroics you could be 208 left side too, and possibly a couple of 212 items. Not any more, the credits don't cover it, so till you start getting the 220 drops, you're stuffed, and they're random, so no guarantee there. This only covers the lvl 60-70 period, but you'll be coming into GC less well equipped, so even more dependant on the RNGgods. I may be jaundiced because I've neverhad much luck with rng, but I don't think I'm alone on this.

Sadly, it's not just the heroics, although that's the one that will affect solo players most. Most group content will be affected too, as flashpoints and ops both have Elites, so the CXP from them will be reduced too. Not sure about Uprisings, I've not tried them yet. Generally all PVE content will be affected to a greater or lesser extent. On an average character, playing class and planetary missions will have you at level 70 by the end of chapter 2 at the latest, so Chapter 3 and the expansions will be operating at a reduced rate of CXP too.

that is the only way if like me you only have swtor running. I have a pc that was the bee's knees when I built it 7 years ago, so best not to have other programs running with swtor. If I remember to have an explorer window open then windows+tab works, but I'm old and forget.....

Agreed, the frametate increase is noticeable, but I have found it's inconsistent - Corellia was notgiving me the 192 fps I was getting on Belsavis and Voss. I run fullscreen at 1920x1200 but I have an old processor and 4gb memory, so not expecting superfast framerates.

If you run in full screen and swtor is the only program running, you have to use Windows+Tab, because in windows 10 Alt+Tab moves between open windows and if there is only one open window.......... Bioware doesn't have a monopoly on strange programming..

well, I was just wondering because for 5.0, they did mention tinkering with the engine, which can have "unpredictable" side effects as my old project manager used to say.

even alt+F4 doesn't work for me Only way for me to close the game is ctrl+alt+del and use Task Manager to close the program, or quit every 10-15 mins. Does this sound like a memory leak? Win 10 here and this is only since 5.0.

Yes it's bugged. If you reached eternal level, you'll get the alert. If you reached Legendary, you won't

And the sad/bad thing is that you still have to do heroics because there is no other way to get locked alliance crates in game now that they have borked the vendor on Odessan.

The blues and greens were unmoddable, and got disintegrated. The orange shells are just that - BoE shells, so I could have sold them I suppose but I disintegrated them for CXP. Evey little helps, even 1 CXP golds. I need to get this grind down to under 11 months.

Can't say for set gear, because I haven't seen any yet, but for the rest my Rage Jug has seen knives scatterguns and guns for the other gear drops

But DF Farmers are farming Leveling XP, there's no CXP involved in that as far as I know - even if they're level 70 boss adds don't give CXP.

That popup is the LEAST annoying thing about the whole DvL mess.

2 separate issues here. Golds appear everywhere in PVE, not only in heroics, and heroics grant Unheroic CXP. Unnerf the golds AND give a boost to heroic CXP. They ARE Heroics after all, and ordinary missions grant 20 CXP, so heroics should grant more.

It's currently per server. You can transfer a character with legendary status to a server without, which will bring it up to legendary status. Hope that helps.

ok so eternal get it and Legendary don't. but some Eternal don't get it.... Noticed something about outstanding alerts from the last post - I had completed all alerts before and this one appeared. Maybe you have to complete all alerts before it shows up?

Just made a few checks and non-DvL characters on this server got the email too, so went and created a toon on a server where I had not done DvL, and he got the email too, so it is every char on your account that gets it. 7 slots in their cargo hold is not too bad, all told. Or just don't unpack it and use up 1 slot.

What is BW's beef with gold NPCs? When I started playing (around 2.1, I think, certainly a bit before Revan) you got decent loot and cash for killing a gold. At some point (4.0?) this changed and you got xp only with very rare cash/loot. 5.0 made them worth killing again, after 3 days they nerfed that. So what is so special about golds that BW don't want you to kill them unless they tell you to?

It won't be either long or drawn out if there are any more decisions like this one - maybe they'll decide that getting alliance crates from heroics is enough, so they're only worth 5CXP - I wouldn't put it past them at this stage.

Given their recent performance, I wouldn't care to bet the ranch on that.

Been getting this since 5.0 patch. Logging out then quit doesn't help. Only way I have found to avoid it is quit after 10 minutes. Not BWA'a finest hour......
