  1. My Gripes with the game now... This is coming from someone who primarily pvps and does story. -Lag/Glitches -Warzone PvP attention It get pretty old playing on the few pvp maps we have. I honestly would support keeping the same game modes we have, but in different places (Civil War objectives on Balmora, Ancient Pylons objectives on Oricron). They seem to be taking this approach with the next upcoming pvp map. Hopefully we see more of this. -Gearing System. I support the idea of doing anything you want in the game to gear up. I don't support the RNG, grindness, and non-alt friendlyness of Galactic Command. They have made so many great improvements to the system since launch, but I still find the system horrible. -Unbalance between gear and class balances. Because of RNG gearing, the gear gap was bad. It was harder to min-max your stats. Once again, they made this better recently because of the higher bolster put in. As for class balance, some of the class changes they are doing are so damn stupid. -Lack of world pvp. I would love to see some sort of World vs World system from Guild Wars 2 in this game. Overall, the objective of world vs world is various worlds clashing against each other in wars while trying to capture camps, towers, castles, and more. Would love to see an Empire vs Republic version of this where both sides are trying to take over the galaxy. -Companions returning. I enjoy collecting companions. The ones I miss the most haven't come back yet. Those are the big ones I can think of right now. Swtor isn't the best MMO right now. However, I am enjoying the game for what it is.
  2. For my Sith Marauder (main) Master Ranos Lord Scourage Arcann HK-51 Lana
  3. Off topic: Cavs got D rose! I hope he doesn't get hurt again. On topic: I think fury is fine for pvp. I don't think It need a buff personally. I can see why Carnage is getting nerfed (assuming that spec is getting nerfed). It probably won't be by much tho. I'm siding with the people that say Carnage should do more damage than Fury. Carnage is easier to shut down, and lacks so many utilities that aid in pvp. They're balancing the classes based off their target DPS thingy. While I support most of it, I really hope they look at the utilities of the various classes. This is where a lot of unbalance comes from. Off topic again: Cavs need Lavar Ball to beat GSW.
  4. How could I forget this value information they share!?! Praise to these players! These tips are very descriptive and not vague at all. The best part of these tips they give us is that they come straight from the heart. They care! I'm gonna take some pictures of my favorite ranked players, then hang it on my refrigerator. :D:D
  5. This is the dumbest thing I've read today... Not gonna get into a political debate on the internet, but wow... Anyway, I think people forget that this is just a game. It's suppose to be fun. Instead of throwing insults at someone, why not give them advice on how to improve? Why not be supportive of the player so they will want to improve? I'm all down for being competitive. I'm pretty competitive when I play sports irl. However, it's just a game, I'm not gonna start throwing hands because my team isn't doing the best. I notice in my personal experience that lots of pvp players that are toxic (this is in regs too) have a lack of situational awareness. They get mad about stuff they really shouldn't get mad at. I've seen Juggs force leap into a fight way ahead of their team, not realize that their healer was mezzed/stunned, then wonder why they weren't getting healed immediately. I've seen people in regs get pissed off that their team for not doing good, failing to realize that the enemy team has multiple healers & tanks, while their team doesn't have any healers. There's lots of things that make ranked pvp bad. The rewards aren't the best. Class balanced isn't strong. It rewards the most amount of CXP for pvp, resulting in people only queuing for the CXP. There are more, but despite all these negatives, people still care too damn much about their ranking and take it way to seriously. People constantly have to type "Que Ranked" into the fleet chat. So many ranked pvpers know each other and rate them. The ranked pvp community is small. And despite this, when someone new wants to try out ranked pvp, you're going to flame this person and tell them not to que? TLDR: It's a game. People need to have fun.
  6. First off, thanks for looking into this issue. "Bolster is equal to item rating 242" This is my choice. Personally, I think pvp should be more focused on player skill than gear. I have a Marauder that is almost in full 248, and performs very well in pvp. I also have a Sentinel, that isn't anywhere near 248 gear, and the performance isn't good. It's crazy how big the differences are. Alts aren't as fun to play on because my potential is so limited on them. I could go on for a while and talk about how I've seen gear affect performance, but overall, I want pvp to be more about skill rather than gear. Anything done to shape pvp in that direction has my support.
  7. I think the best advise would be the place the spec you enjoy the most. Personally, I enjoy all three specs, and often trade between them. With Carnage, I find that this spec is very fast paced and fun, however it can also be the very frustrating. I find myself getting shut down a lot more than the other specs. The amount of stuns and knockbacks and slows found in swtor can really mess with the burst window, which is a big downfall. However, in a 1 vs 1 situation, this spec can be very good. If you can read your opponent and use your cooldowns right, you will be very deadly. Fury is fun also. It's not as fast paced, but still fun to play. the CC immunity and 2nd leap make the spec feel very moble. This spec is also great in 1 vs 1s. I think in general, I find myself playing this more in pvp because of those elements. So overall, play the spec that is the most enjoyable. They all do good. Each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses.
  8. I never really understood why people would to just farm for numbers instead of playing the objective and trying to win. My most enjoyable Warzone experiences are never when I do the most damage. It's always when the BOTH teams are playing objectively and trying to win. -Capping an enemy plyon with 1 second remaining -AOE stunning a group in order for someone to decap a bomb, and other team combos to achieve something -Multiple strong burst classes (such as a Marauder) all focusing one target, and killing them quickly -Winning a 2 vs 1, and getting a node. Those are a few examples of enjoyable experiences I've had. I get board when players ignore other players in need in order to get better numbers. I honestly think players who only play for numbers have an ego issue... It's not hard to do lots of damage while playing objectively. And more importantly, it doesn't take skill to make big numbers. I play pvp in another MMO. At the end of the match, there isn't a score sheet that displayed everybody's DPS. Only you can see your dps at the end of the match. If you got the highest, the system will let only you know. Everybody plays objectively in this MMO! The games are usually competitive and fun. I wish players would play more objectively. In my experiences, it's always led me to have a more enjoyable experience.
  9. I really love the Eradicator Armor set, but dyed white & white. I also use Revan Reborns mask in my set. (I hate the clipping issue tho). In my opinion, the set looks so amazing. I use the set on my Sentinel and Marauder (mains) .
  10. 1) Make Undying Rage usable while stunned. I've thought about this in the past before. Honestly, it seems like a reasonable change. I know there was a debate about how defensive the sentinel should be. Honestly, the sentinel doesn't have the best cooldowns, but for the class and play style, I think they are fine. If GBTF while stunned is added, then I don't think the class will suddenly become extremely good defensively. It would be nice to have, but not required. Because I thought about this before, my opinion is coming from what I have experienced with stuns & GBTF. I feel like people will disagree with me lol. 2) Make Brazen or Stoic passive abilities! I fully agree with this one. Because this ability is so essential to the sentinel, it should just be a passive. 3)Make Pacify/Obfuscate lower the target's chance to hit you with Force and Tech attacks. Honestly, I can't remember everything about this ability (cooldown, duration, ext), so I won't comment.
  11. When this thread was created, I would agree. I remember being frustrated with how the Sentinel played compared to other classes. Currently, I feel Sentinels play very well. They can still very squishy, but they have tons of offensive pressure. There are some small buffs I would give to them to make the class solid (I still hate the 3 second precision window), but overall they are pretty great now. I think when certain OP classes get toned down, Sentinels will feel more balanced.
  12. Interesting suggestions. I'm not the best Sentinel and haven't played on mine in a while, but I'll comment. Suggestions: 1) Make Master strike a stun... I think this would be a bit OP because of how much damage it does. I think the guy above me summed it up well. 2) Make Guarded By The Force useable in.. Rather than just having it be immune to fire, I'd rather see overall changes to the ability. Usable while in CC and a reduced cooldown are all good ideas I'd support. 3) Make Merciless Zeal %20-25% I rarely ever play Watchman, so I won't know enough to comment. 4) Make Zealous Ward At least %8 heal 3200 per second if attacked (healing for 38400 based on 40000 life) I support this one. 5) Make Twin Sabre throw a 1s or 2s stun on top of damage (need a ranged stun for ranged classes) I don't see much wrong with this. If this is OP, then maybe add a slowing effect to the ability. 6) Make Saber Ward a 2m cooldown... Support 7) Make Force Melt half of its current duration from.. I still haven't played Watchman yet, so I wouldn't know. EDIT: Never mind about #5. I just played on my Sentinel and found out Saber throw has a slowdown and has a lower cooldown than I thought. I think it is fine the way it is.
  13. /signed I'd even be okay with reskins of maps.
  14. One big thing about the class currently is that is support DPS. They really cannot support themselves, but with a good team they can do amazing. A few days ago, I was in a warzone and there were 2 other sentinels. I was sure that we were going to lose. However, our team had amazing healers and all the sentinels did amazing that round. The class still has issues, but it is getting better.
  15. I started Swtor I think a year ago, but I play on and off as a preferred status. I recently bought a membership to see how to game truly was. 1) What is your overall impression of TOR as of right now? Overall it is a good game, but there is tons of room for improvement. 2) What is your favorite aspect of gameplay in TOR as of right now? The story content is amazing. I also enjoy the various flashpoints 3) What is your least favorite aspect of gameplay in TOR as of right now? Pvp and class balance. I think pvp is pretty self explanatory. As for class balance, I started swtor on a Sentinel and struggled primarily in pvp. On a Sorc I can dominate. 4) How would you like to see your least favorite aspect of gameplay improved? For pvp, I would love to see more attention on World pvp. Maybe mix elements of pve and pvp into one. Another Mmo I frequently play has this, and I would love to see this in swtor. For Warzones, I'd like to see new warzones added. They could be reskins of ones we have, or multiple versions of ones we have. (2 versions of huntball, 2 versions of the Civil War) They are addressing class balance, and I am happy with that. 5) What features would you like to see added to TOR in the future? See above. 6) If Jar Jar Binks dies in the next SW movie, how do you hope it will happen? I hope he plays as a Sentinel and gets CC'd to death.
