  1. not only are they going to be down for 8 hours, they shut down the servers 15 minutes early with no warnings. sheesh
  2. Not all patches are client side [aka no client patch] it doesn't take 4 hours to reboot the servers so there was SOMTHING patched. And if memory serves that makes this the 1st one without patch notes.
  3. I'm wondering why there are no patch notes for last night's update. Was the patch pulled or something?
  4. I'm having the same issue, Subbed since pre-launch and it says I need to subscribe to receive coins
  5. I've been working my tail off on this thing, no really, I don't have a tail so it proves it! I've got a tad further in the Analyzing logic but in the mean time I did add some really cool features to the client interface. I've split everything up into self contained modules which lets you move around a few parts of the display client. Added a new server latency indicator and well back to work so I can have a beta to show off this year. as always grab a copy at http://www.computerguy.ws/Apps/LogViewer/ kick the tires and let me know if you find any issues.
  6. You do know that you don't get any points at all until you finish and turn In the quest right? You may get 100+ light or dark side points during a quest, but they are not added to your total until you finish and turn them in. just a thought.
  7. I made some interface changes and will be making a ton more over the weekend. I also increased the polling from 500ms to 250ms which does seem to read the logs better at the expense of slightly higher cpu usage, which does grow as the log grows, but I have run it about an hour ingame and it never really added more than 1 or 2% to the overall cpu load. I will look at lowering it lower to 100ms to see if it brings it more inline to a real-time viewer instead of a slightly delayed viewer Sad that not one person has made a comment about this good or bad on here. Oh well, no news is good news they say.
  8. Updated the viewer again. I am looking for a female that can create for me two wav files. One that says "Critical Heal" and the other that says "Critical Damage" Preferably with an British accent If so inclined please PM me so I can get the wav files http://www.computerguy.ws/Apps/LogViewer
  9. Ok it has been forever since my last update but I finally have a semi-functional program. After about 10 start overs, [literally] I have come to a few conclusions, and they are: 1. Whoever designed the combat logs was smoking crack. It is a mess. 2. There is no way to do a completely real-time watcher [refer to 1.] 3. Given the state of (1) I have done pretty well working around the issues and have a cool little app that is almost useful. 4. I still need to do a TON of work to it to make it truly useful to many, but right now as a proof of concept it works. The reason I stated #1 is that the logs are a mess and what it does write is buffered by the swtor client. It MAY write one line or it MAY write more than one line and that is really messed up as well as the fact it doesn't write the instant an action happens. This introduces a delay in what I can and can not read in real-time. So you may see up to a full second delay between an action and the output. It also means it might not report some actions if they happen REALLY fast as I only read the last line in the log file. I have both a real-time viewer and an offline parser [which is done but not added to the real-time viewer yet]. The offline parser actually takes the data and parses it into more of a useful format that is more human readable but is separate from the viewer and doesn't have an output interface yet. The viewer reports what it sees and offers some feedback on things like critical hits and critical heals, etc. It's still ugly, but works well. I have tested it on XP/Vista/7/8 both x86 and x64 and I have found no errors with it, so I feel it is safe enough to let you guys try it out. Over the next few days I am going to polish it a tad more and add the ability to launch the offline viewer mode and take whatever you guys say here and try to implement them. So go to http://www.computerguy.ws/Apps/LogViewer and give it a try and let me know if you have any issues or would like to see whatever added to it. Enjoy
  10. I find 2 things help with this game, a GOOD graphics card and a SSD. on a i7 2600k @ 5Ghz it never goes above 25% cpu load and it really doesn't use much memory [out of 16 gigs it tends to use less then 500 megs] On the video side on a hd 6990 is rarely goes above 25% load on either core and rarely drops below the 100/110FPS max I get @ 1920x1200 resolution with everything in game maxed and me over-riding 4x FSAA and everything else maxed In my CCC The biggest thing I notices is moving it from my old raid0 platters to my raid0 SSD. Load times are almost instant and I times between cuts and whatnot are very very low. A good CPU with lots of threads are always good in windows vista/7/8, lots of memory is good in everything But all in all I get the biggest bang for my buck out of my SSDs. Sucks too when I bought mine they were ever 300 each [3 120 gig] and now they are about 100 each cry.
  11. Ok so they give the CE peeps a boat load of worthless coin, but what about us who paid 85 dollars for the Digital Deluxe edition, we get squat, nothing, nada. Same as the peeps to bought the 50 dollar one. The forgotten folk who shelled out extra for 5 worthless items [ok the speeder was almost useful, but the rest?] man talk about taking one for the team.
  12. I'm tired of losing 8 damn hours a WEEK at LEAST of time I PAY for. I'm tired of HAVING to see posts about people pissed because they can't play. I'm tired of the public test server being down which means these broken patches get 0 testing before they push them live. I'm tired of people defending this poor poor support. BW just got a nasty phone call from me about this and I am going to call back as soon as they take the server down. For each hour I am unable to play due to scheduled or unscheduled server down time I want credited back to my account. I don't CARE what the reason is that I can't fire up my client and play, I pay for a FULL month's worth of play time and so far I am being denied 32 hours of said playtime a month. That is ridiculous. If my cable internet was down for 32 hours out of a month you're damn straight they'd be crediting my account for that missing time If my power was off for 32 hours a month, you're damn straight I'd be credited [though since the power co charges by KW/h I would not get charged for the time I had no power anyway. If my cable tv was down for 32 hours a month, yup, Credit, you see a pattern here? Bioware needs to stop firing developers/management [even if the majority was pretty worthless at the time] and instead of pushing broken patches that fix 3 things and break 10 more each week and actually TEST the patches BEFORE pushing them to live servers that people PAY to play one then within a few months we may actually have stable servers with most of the borked stuff not borked. At lease before they fired 1/2 the team the servers were pretty much only down 4 hours a week, now it's 6 or 8 or MORE. a WEEK. I'm all for new content, but not at the expense of not being able to play a third of the time I pay for. Server reboots mean crap server code, constant fixes man crap developers and no regression testing would people complain if they didn't fix something? maybe, but not NEARLY as much as not being able to play at all.
  13. Most of your pasted links are borked. something truncated then with ... in the middle
  14. it seems the site's user spying is tossing errors now and then script error in blah/omniture/bla.js omniture is webspy owned and operated by Adobe Web Analytics sigh
