    but seriously this is not a normal bug.. how did they miss this ..

     

    In Hoth theres an entire platform missing floor and nodes spawning on unreachably high locations that were clearly ment to be on the ground (Unless 90% in air is how they designed it, those pesky antigravity nodes!).

     

    They start regularly popping up after you reach half way trough the game.

     

    Short answer: Beta testing not sufficiently long and QA dropped the ball, then dropkicked it under the sink and never found it again.

     

     

    Edit: Oh yes theres the mystery quest on imperial fleet that takes entire place on a planet "Placeholder" with nice white/pink square ground textures and placeholder sky 2d drop. But wait it gets better, its obviously ment to be a holocall since it keeps freaguently swapping between you and the planet ending up lagging the entire cutsecene quite badly.

  2. And btw. About the different EU maintence times Like WoW.

     

    Isnt even possible anymore;) WoW US and WoW EU are like 2 seperate (the same) Games;P

    And clients.

     

    This is one game/one client. there u have it.

     

    There are more then two seperate clients for world of warcraft for updating it, this does not mean that servers themselves can't be maintained during difrent times since this is what they have been doing for several years with rolling restarts and only fullblooded maintanence has all servers down at the same time. (Note: Some of them get up before others so this again is not the same)

     

    You clearly are misinformed about the entire subject since what ever TOS and EULA say have nothing to do with Consumer Rights in EU (or US for that fact).

     

    The only time one game/one client thing matters is when they update loginservers and upload/download servers for actual patch content, not patching the servers themselves and if this is what takes _8_ hours to do I'm at lost of words for incompetence.

  3. So everybody plays SWTOR constantly except during maintenance? No one has ever anything else to do? Like playing otehr games? Work? Family? Health issues?

     

    Hmm in finland this downtime ends up in the middle of primetime in the evening so... Yes. I would be playing it for about 1-4 hours depending on my workday.

     

    EDIT: That is unless the maintanence gets delayd, then its additional time during primetime when its down thus mostlikely resulting in an entire day of not being able to play.

  4. This answers the question where the 300 millions went tbh.

     

    Also its PC gamer. I would actually check their background a bit and other games they have reviewed becouse they are no where near as stable as one likes to believe and fall very heavely in to the "yeah it will be fixed at launch" when its not.

  5. I don't have an order. I'll just list ten flaws.

     

    1. Ability delay

    2. No color matching

    3. No barber

    4. Copied WoW gameplay

    5. Forced PVP/Easy as heck griefing on mixed faction planets due to how flagging works on PVE servers

    6. Community

    7. Alignment system requiring you to go light or dark 100% or be gimped

    8. Poor optimization

    9. Banning players for no reason

    10. Reused dialogue used way too often.

     

    Let's be fair and say 1 and 4 are the same thing, expect wow fixed the issue.

     

    6 and 9 are the same issue as well. It comes down to the community and customer service general to keep the forums in line and to keep the bans in place.

  6. 1. EU customerservice and treatment. (And state of forums, so much hate and go back to wow posts for trying to be constructive (goes both ways tho))

    2. graphics unfinished at launch and other major bugs.

    3. Numerous of voice bugs and other minor bugs.

    4. Anything related to UI.

    5. Lore abuse by Shadows.

    6. Storylines are a mix of bad, decent and good, quest desing not the greatest. Becomes quickly to a grindfest with cutscenes)

    7. Mariocrons (Oh boy. This is such a development oversight)

    8. Anything related to Gameplay (including but not limited to: Ability delay, combat feel, abilties themselves, quests, credits, interactions with world, world itself, and your influence on the world, craftskills, flashpoints, planets, pvp, loot... Oh boy.)

    9. Anything related to the dynamic surroundings of the world (Including but not limited to:Graphic look, textures, usage of tinting elements or ambient lighting, background drops, day/night/ambient sounds)

    10. Powertech look and feel compared to trooper.

  7. I was actually really looking forward to playing Powertech as an alt character. Untill I realiced it was a pistol only class.

     

     

    I understand that it makes some sense to have a free hand to use your skills and gadgets but from a tanking point of view it dosn't make any sense. Sith Juggernaut one sword makes sense, its a very good defensive weapon that let's you focus on a single point, and hes allways in your face so it makes sense.

     

     

    Powertech on the other hand have a blaster and gadgets, that means for all defensive and offensive purposes your relying entirely on gadgets not the blaster itself at all.

     

     

    And its not like you have a problem screwing the lore up itself by giving jedi's "double lightsaber" or "lightsaber staffs" that were frowned upon since they are a tool of <TERROR> for giving a wider arch to cut your enemies down. Most Jedis who used the tool itself became darkside becouse jedi council hated them that much. Instead you could have given them sentinels, sages, an entirely new hybrid class. For example what is wrong with just having a lightrobe purely melee class for both trees with jedi sorcerors with one going healing/ranged nukes/ ranged dots and one going melee tanking (Using speed rather then strenght and knowledge) / Precission dps (Highly accurate hits meaning higher burts) / Nimblity dps (Higher DPS output and defensive skills to help against aoe damage, no big numbers but longer hit streaks and steady supply of dot damage)

     

    This would mean that Sith Marauder unfortunately would have been thrown out and in place we could have had similiar choises on the otherside.

     

    Just... My powertech story is So much better then trooper... But troopers are more appealing gameplay wise (and gearwise).

     

     

    A two-handed weapon would look daft on a bounty hunter, considering the number of gadgets(and consequent animations) in your arsenal; think about your wrist rockets, flame thrower, flame sweep, grapple, or rail shot animations, how clumsy and unnatural would they look when you're constantly switching your rifle into one hand? It makes no sense for a bounty hunter to have such an awkward weapon when he has all those other offensive abilities at his disposal and it would make all those awesome animations look ugly as hell, too.

     

    You support the weapon by one hand by a foregrip or barrel when you shoot. Shotguns and carbines don't have to be huge they can be short and light meaning you can do the same animations. If you look at for example stormtrooper weapons they are not huge, what your thinking of rifles are something like in clonewars.

    Well upon thinking for a few seconsd I figured part of the problem is that the blaster pistol seems to begin with out of place. If FOR LOOT REASONS ALONE you want us to keep using pistols then can we atleast have a special model that is an expansion over bracers that hides the actual pistol itself? The point is that even if its hidden inside the armor when its not firing its considerably more menacing for tanks.

  8. In before discussion of why do we get 'dlc' called 'User Interface Augments' that is sold by Bioware and why not use mods.

     

     

    I really would not be that suprised if that's the way they want to try it at first just to see if they can get away with it. And yes I don't think this game will ever be at Curse most likely EA will want to keep close tabs on mod sites so I'm assuming it will be run by EA themselves, just look how close tabs they keep on Illum.

    Why the devs dont actually use the forums for communication is beyond me.

     

    Becouse they would be flagged for trolling and flaming. Also probably EU people would flag them for rude comments instantly when they keep repeating the lines "Its not on peak time for EU. Oh yeah, too bad you life in EU and not in UK".
