  1. depends if they had their force shroud up or not, if they have the utility spec'd into it, they resist force and tech dmg and pulls from force and tech fpr 5 seconds after using. granted you were over 10m range, your shoulder cannons cannot reach them so it won't work which = being grey'd out, breaking cc and grappling does not work within those 5 seconds of them using force shroud, after breaking cc and trying to grapple, i assume by then you walked closer to them meaning if you were within 10m range of them by then, your jet charge wont work since it requires 10-30m range causing to grey out, in which case you probably threw a grenade to stop it 5/8 seconds in or longer in which case you were able to cc and hit them with the grenade, granted if none of that applies and the sin didn't have force shroud or deflection up etc then idk, hard to say without a video though

  3. imagine getting to 75 and 306 gear without knowing you can go into cover as a sniper, set bonus and bis gear wont help 6 players break 800k dmg over an entire hypergate match
  4. Legit had a hypergate match with 6 players not able to break 1k dps, 1 was afk. not to mention everyone was 306 except 1 guy, also a sniper that did not go into cover the entire match...he was 306 too btw. quality of pvp has defs gone down like 3x worse

Not sure if anyone knows this already but aside from the less frequent huttballs, they have also changed it so that you get a perma slow while carrying the ball even if you are not in combat and no one is around you. now this would not be so bad if the speed was the same as being in combat but they have made it so that it even stacks with the movespeed decrease trauma from being in combat.
  8. He said double hardstun, not double sap/mez/flashbang tournaments dont apply for regs or ranked since they are put into a different bracket for being strong as a 1v1 class
  9. 1. Like someone else mentioned, its cross faction so pub and imp does not matter for pvp. 2. You seem to have rolled a level boost onto a new character which i assume you are not familiar with 3. Its midbies so its expected to have less population of people pvping which means you will see them more often 4. They can play with whoever they want and be on discord or anything also, its not breaking anything imo

Sorcs will still be fine in the right hands, and tbh if you're a bad sorc, well then you're a bad sorc, dps will always be crap when you have bad people playing it so meh, good sorcs will still do good dps in matches and probably on the top end of the scoreboards of matches, depends how hard you try to dps, game is not that hard tbh, but a good 50% of the population still cant break 1 mil dmg over a good 10 min match still, nerfs and buffs wont change that
  12. well they do have 8 sec cd per roll if they are using tactician set which is making their dmg really high, but i mean even if they were using debiliator set, ops backstabs still hit for over 50k and roll cd is 6 secs, it used to be 10 sec cd per 2 rolls before 6.0 so it is a slight nerf in terms of mobility and evasiveness. if you are trying to 1v1 a good operative that you know is better than you and you arent playing an operative, i would just say why? and if they are just average ops you can easily just double hardstun burst them down if they dont have a breaker long as one other person is hitting them, just choose your fights carefully tbh. if an operative is trolling 3-4 members of your team at an offnode and they cant handle em, dont even bother to go, you probably wont be much help and that match is probably doomed anyways. and well, if you are getting destroyed by ops who are using debilatator set then you are screwed even after the nerf anyways cause it wont affect them, GL and HF
  13. Sorry to say, but if you are getting annoyed at operatives in matches right now, you will probably be annoyed at operatives even after Tuesdays nerf, there will always be something needed to be ''nerfed'' about operative. Will continue to see these posts after post nerf im sure
  14. If you're playing lowbies and midbies pvp its definitely going to be worse in terms of objs, some people are actually new and are learning what they need to do in matches still. But either way most people learning a new class will probably be trying to learn how to dps first so ignoring objs, at least in 75 you see regular people doing objs, and the typical dps farmers but its better than lowbies and midbies, expecting them to do much of anything imo is asking for too much unless its an actual pvp alt in which case i'd assume they are just dpsing to farm new players or pvers which i think is weird if people are wanting to pick on em
  15. So how do operatives get close to someone in 1v1 or even 1v2 trying to survive and get away? they roll. Without roll they have no other type of anything to get close to someone, holotraverse on 30 secs with it not working more than than any other ability in the game aside from phantom stride, and countermeasures on 45 secs cd, aside from those 2, operatives will be moving around the game with base movement speed lol. Root is a 4m ability along with its hardstun, the Knife throw root is only 2 secs long at 10m range, if you don't want roll give operatives Predation every 30 seconds that last a third of that CD basicallty, or Force Speed every 10-15 secs, im fine with it. Juggs can leap like every 10-15 secs? 4 secs of cc immunity with that short cd, Mercs have a Knockback, Hardstun, Missile blast root 30m range if they utility into it, and net which goes through white bar, not to mention 30m range instant concussion missile also with every dmg ability being over 30m range and hydraulic override, Operatives literally have no other movespeed increase ability aside from countermeasures and 4m range skills
  16. They should just remove the roll and give us operatives force speed every 12-15 seconds and force shroud like sins Sorcs have self heals, mercs have self and dcd heals, sins can take a utility to heal when they vanish, juggs can also dcd heal, even snipers can heal 25k hp every roll

Although yes i agree operatives are dealing too much dmg with the new tactical combined with the tactician set the roll is fine as it is imo, if they are using the dmg set, its on a 8 sec cd and 2 rolls being 16 secs, its already 60% longer than it was in 5.0, granted if they are using the 2 hardstun set then its 12 secs so its not as bad a nerf, its the only movement ability they have though with every damage ability on a 4m range. Sins even double that with ball lightning and discharge if im correct they are on 10m. All the classes you mentioned have either a movement speed increase, leap or force speed on a low cooldown along with the abilities you mentioned. Not to mention sorc and snipers are ranged classes anyways, A operative needs to either roll to get close to you or they need to roll to get away from you seeing as how holotraverse works half the time and countermeasures is on a 45 sec cd. Reason why Ops have many more ccs and roots is cause of that reason alone, roll is and always will be a double edged sword for operatives, the only good thing they have as a DCD aside from the roll is the sheer amount of Damage reduction operatives have when using adrenals and stim boost if they have the utility for 20% DR. along with a passive 11% DR from other utilities also. Granted yes they are still hitting just abit too high, but even if they nerf the Tactical, Operatives will still be good. Lacerations are hitting 27-35k alone as its one of the main spammables. taking away the tactical wont change that
  18. only certain tacticals and set bonuses drop from flashpoints, some of the decent ones drop from the new OPs and such, you wont find every piece of tactical or set bonus in the game just by doing FPs, its literally impossible because its not even on the loot table. just run master mode over and over for 306 pieces of armorings/enhance/mods or gear and weaps with mods in it, if you dont get any, your rng sucks, run again, thats how the game works. go do a MM HS like 4 times and im sure youll get 306 of anything at least. Veteran seems to drop 302-304 more often, MM drops 304 or 306 but mainly 304. also quote from patch notes ''Endless Offensive (2) +2% Mastery (4) Volt Rush deals 10% more damage (6) Energize now stack up to 3 times. Good luck trying to get any of em really from FPs when you got all the general sets and general tacticals involved in the same loot table, my guess being that they have a higher % of dropping with those set bonuses being super super low which could be the case, i mean 1% chance or something. along with the rest of the stuff for your class dropping from end fp bosses. not sure how great of a chance it is but tbh you're better off trying to get the gear and tacticals off the ones from the tech vendor until otherwise noted for a change or you get lucky.

  20. by this weekend I'll have both my operative and sin in 306 full set bonus with correct mods and armorings/enhancements and decent rolls on amps without doing a single RR run. Not to mention I work a full time job and even had to work last Saturday. After that I can just spend my time pvping all I want until I can get better amps but that's it, gear grind is done and it's just PvP all the way now, i did some PvP but frame drops are so bad atm anyways so it's not even worth it some days to queue, better to just be doing some PvE and gear up now or be behind more later, it takes little effort honestly, probably easiest game to grind gear needed for PvP

As a pvper, the way gearing was with ossus was the worst kind of gearing they possibly have ever done for me, If you didnt do weekly ossus or daily ossus and rep until locked for the week means you couldnt gear past 248 ever. you were just stuck at 248 forever like how I was. Pvped for over half a year only and not a single gear gain. Now I can just grind a fp for 4 days and be done basically until whenever they release something else. its literally 10x better. if you can pvp 3-4 hrs a day for a week, you can do FPs for the same and be fully geared by the end of it. But then again even pvping for half a year or more is much better gearing than ossus for me so i'd rather do it the way you guys are, i just have a better option to get it done over with and just go back to pvping all day again
  22. You're doing the slowest way possible to gear up, doing ranked right now is going to be even slower than doing regs pvp so GL with that, you can do it but it will take way too long. If you're so hardcore about pvp then just go spam MM FPs until you're geared up in 4-5 days, Most of the people who hit 306 first are the pvpers btw. I play only 3-4 hrs a day after work and as a pvper i'm doing FPs to gear up, currently at 294 with 3 set bonus pieces and a tactical already, i think its very casual gameplay. Even if you play 2 hrs a day doing dailies and weeklies from old maps, throw in some pvp and then do some FPs, You'll be geared up in like 1-2 months max. Not sure what the complaining is about. Gearing is faster now than most expansions have been without being locked out by rep or weekly stuff, just grind your **** and go back to pvping, easy.

Huttball is pretty rough yeah, playing on my sin and pt makes for the worst obj for huttball if i'm trying to carry the ball, I tend to try to group up with other people who also play objectives, you just need to find those 1-3 ppl throughout your day that you see trying to do objs, and just whisper them and see if they wanna group up. As an operative main though i find doing objs still fun even after playing the game on and off the past 3-4 years. Mainly because doing dps feels boring after like 2-3 matches of trying, you just kinda wanna take nodes or run balls. But yeah most my matches revolve just around me and the people i'm grouped with to do objs, aside from certain few ppl here and there on the team that actively try, its not all that bad, sometimes just need to shake off the bad matches

There's nothing else at work here aside from just using holotraverse and having it slingshot me in an angle right into the endzone, you can slow down the clip to 0.25 and you'll see there's nothing else at work. Sure its an exploit maybe if you can pull it off every single time in vandin, i've holotraversed multiple times usually to someone in the opposite ramp of that one, and it sometimes makes me fly and land right before the bottom lightning trap, but this was the first time its gotten me to the endzone, moreover, obviously i'm just trying to holotraverse to anybody that I can get to thats even remotely close to the endzone so I can score unexpecting anything like this clip would even happen
