  1. I'm playing from Tokyo! Haven't dinged 80 on my main yet, but if you want to add me, my in-game name is Enzan. 自分以外の日本にいるプレイヤーからのメッセージは本当にびっくりした! 80になる特に、声をかけてください!
  2. I've been waiting for this for ages, it'll be so great to play at a ping below 300 for once! Also really excited for the fresh start! Two thumbs up on this one, Broadsword.
  3. This feels like every other arena to me. It's been bad before but it's never been this bad. A new dev post outlining steps that are being taken/will be taken from now on would be great to see post-Broadsword transition. On the technical/gameplay side of things, it would be cool to see a Temporary Ability Bar CD added specifically when you're dead in arenas that will unstealth the last player on your team. Might be wonky to implement but it feels so commonplace to wait out a round giving the other team advice in Say chat on how to find your troll teammate. Ugh.
  4. I would honestly even prefer everything reverted to how it looked in 1.0 more than the current version of the game. Has anyone paid attention to the more recent aesthetic and UI updates we've gotten? *cough cough 7.0 MS PAINT CLASS SYMBOLS, looking at you* 1.0 had decent textures for gear and all gear looked at least like it belonged in the same game engine. You could mix and match sets no problem (once they added Unify. who remembers before?) The new textures for CM armors look almost too sharp and grainy sometimes, especially in conjunction with older textures. 1.0 had beautiful and streamlined ability animations (channeled Ravage/Flamethrower/Master Strike) which have been replaced by much less aesthetically pleasing instant ones. We also had the more immersive translucent ground target reticle instead of an ugly solid green one, the real Star Wars font for system text unlike the drab Helvetica clone we have now, etc. The more people ask for modernizations (which are great and I would want them too if they could be consistent and universal), the more we get inconsistencies between the new and old assets in the game that really detract from the overall immersion and experience IMO.
  5. Also experiencing worse ping, particularly in Warzones on Star Forge. Hoping they iron out whatever is increasing latency sooner than later.
  6. Since the cloud server transfer I've noticed so much more PvP lag - not just from objective ping numbers (which have also unfortunately increased for me) but also what seem to be serverside issues (teleportation, players appearing to walk into walls, entire GCDs not registering. Hope it's fixed up in a patch sooner than later.
  7. Also experiencing a far worse experience with ping on Star Forge since the transfer. Before I was around 140-160ms ping from Tokyo, now it hovers between 250-350 with much more erratic spikes. Warzones are nearly untenable at this level of latency. Hoping for that mythical APAC server on the horizon sooner than later..
  8. Been experiencing a pretty annoying cursor glitch ever since the move to Cloud. Playing on Star Forge server. Every few seconds, the SWTOR cursor becomes invisible, and I have to hold down the right mouse button and move the camera around in order to get it to reappear. Additionally, opening or closing any UI window also causes this behavior to happen. Sometimes, the cursor simply disappears entirely, but about 10% of the time it will instead start flickering and I'll see the normal Windows cursor instead of the golden SWTOR skinned one. I've tried reinstalling, restarting my PC, updating drivers, etc. to no avail. Curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
  9. The story after Makeb (or arguably Yavin IV) is near unplayable to me on any class, so I usually go from there and skip directly to Ossus and spacebar/ignore the rest of the story until I'm caught up. I really, REALLY wish there were a Vanilla/fresh start server where I didn't have to intentionally avoid post 3.0 content. Tech users only are more laughable once you get to KOTFE.
  10. PvP is a competitive game mode, and the people who care about it care about your performance. BioWare may be incentivizing the lack of effort on the part of players playing only for rewards, but the reality is that you're playing those warzones and arenas with real people, some of who want to win. BioWare is not rewarding competitive play without Ranked, which is a fair point, but the other players on your server aren't the right outlet for your anger about that. If you throw matches because it's easier, BW and/or your teammates can't ban you, but that doesn't make it the right thing to do. If you litter in a public park, you aren't doing jail time, but it doesn't make you an upstanding citizen, does it? I wanted Battlemaster gear on my main toon, so I learned how to PvP at an acceptable level and grinded to Valor 60. You can too.
  11. Same here. Can log into other servers without issue.
  12. Honestly, I think the removal/changing of animations has been one of the worst things that's happened to the game. Most of the things people complain about now are the quality of new content or the lack of new content. These changes actually have removed/changed some of the original (imo really impeccable) 1.0 SWTOR content. Just a few I can think of: Unload on Powertech Casted Flamethrower on Powertech Death from Above on Powertech Juggernaut channeled Ravage Juggernaut Vicious Slash Inquisitor Overload Guardian channeled Master Strike I used to main a powertech back from around launch to 2015 or so, and when they changed the animations and removed all the casted skills it just never felt the same. It's a lot like replacing the Class Story icons on the character select screen (which were colorful, felt like they fit the classes perfectly, and there was nothing wrong with them) with the pixel art MS Paint monochrome garbage we got in 7.0 So much money and development hours were poured into this game at launch, why undo any of that work and replace it with things of lesser quality? Blows my mind.
  13. Same issue. I wonder if this has to do with the weird launcher glitch I've been having. Every time I log in for the past two weeks or so, my client tells me "The game version on your computer doesn't match the server's" and tells me to relaunch. I can log in fine, but I get the error every time I launch and have to ignore it and press Play to get into the game. Instacrash when I press the "learn more" or the X button on the popup to close it. Only happens on Star Forge, too.
  14. para_cosm

    Valor in 7.2

AFAIK it's only viewable in the PvP queue UI now, not anywhere on the character sheet.
