  1. I was advised to post it here. I was trying to use the mail system, and the letters seem to cut off on 100 or 150 words. I am looking for a way to add extra space to the mail in the game for the player. In-game correspondence seem to have no limit.
  2. Not a big fan of Qyzen, but for the lack of anything better at the moment... yeah. I am always surprised at any points coming from him. He liked the line about the aliens' tough life, he supports Yuon and sort of honorable choices. On some of those small side-quests one can refuse the quest, and then restart the conversation and correct the choice without resetting the whole quest. It nets 10, rather than 11, but better than a sorry -1. I just try not to worry about it. My PC will do what she does, unless I truly like the companion, but so far, save for Kaliyo the first companions I have seen were not worth bending the PC's will. I'm playing with Qyzen, Riggs and Kaliyo. I've seen Khem and T3 whatever in a group setting. Fingers crossed that the later entries make up for it.
  3. Thank you. We run one game on an old XP DT, the second game hooks up to the TV which has a huge screen, so it's gonna be another LT.
  4. Thank you, that's our first time trying to play a MMO, so we are real rookies I actually thought they were all consoles, lol.
  5. I browsed the specs and the threads a little, and just wanted to confirm that SWTOR only plays on the PC. We are thinking about update our gaming set-up, so I wanted to confirm that a gaming laptop is the only way to go, not a console. It looks like there were some hints about multi platform conversion, but I can't fins anything recent. Thank you!
  6. Thank you, I will resort to sending the texts in segments then if I need it. Or train in brevity.... ha-ha.
  7. Suggestions being Customer Service? Sorry, I am dim (or undercoffeenated), can't see a Suggestion forum?
  8. Yep, affection is the root of my paranoia. I am barely out of the hundreds with my first companion, and reading the guides made me yearn for those times when simply not threatening to kill the character & meeting a few stats was enough to get all the dialogue out of 'em. And we used to complain about it, duh.
  9. Thank you all for the strategies, folks. I just got deliverance on the last level up, so I will check it out. Not sure I have the FA yet, will toggle through the abilities. And, yep, I should have thought about toggling friendlies. Oouf, keeping those show-off leaping knights alive is a hard work
  10. TY, will try it. Targeting is a pain though. No aggravation in the wave department, it's just two of us - is that the only AOE Healing option then?
  11. Well, I spent previous 15 years playing single-player games and panicking at the mere mention of the word MMO or the idea that I have to mush buttons. Then I broke my foot in Dec and decided to run KOTOR2 that I saved in 2010 last time (RL) after char creation. Then I tentatively tried SWTOR, and bought a subscription 2 days into playing. That's the first day my husband and I could play as actual multiplayer (Baldur's Gate was a disaster). So, I guess, for however many WoW players out there, there could just be the old-fashioned SP players like us, who would have never touched a MMO if it did not have Bio name and quality attached to it.
  12. Honestly, it's so cheesy, funny anyone would take a serious offence. Lol.
  13. Okay, I was trying to cast Benevolence a few times during a very miserable Flashpoint, and it only heals my character. Do I need to target it, or do I need something else to mass-heal? I think I got skill points in having the wave a chance to heal allies, is that it? I play with a lvl 11/12 Sage
  14. Okay, but could you backtrack to the 'skipped' planets? Like when I went to Korriban to keep an eye on a baby-Sith, I was able to go back to Hutta and finish the Imperial Agents quests after that, and then hightail back to Korriban. So, could I rip through the planets till I reach the happy point of picking the toon I want, and go backwards. Or it won't matter anyway because the toon won't have anything to say on the previous planets?
  15. I was trying to use the mail system, and the letters seem to cut off on 100 or 150 words. Is there a way to add extra space to the mail in the game?
  16. I understand enjoy the ride concept, but don't the companions come attached to a planet, and if the companion comes late in the game, will you have enough play-time with it? Can you leave a bunch of the quests behind, and re-visit once you have gained the companion of choice? Used to do it in the SP games all the time.
  17. Is there an option (or planned) to change a companion's race? I won't mind swapping a human Lt. for a Zabrak with the same dialogues and such. I know you can change appearance, and it's cool, but I would like to have a joinable male Zabrak if at all possible.
