  1. Bioware, Republic side, Sage heal spec, Harbinger. 1 win, 9 losses, daily, average. Please, REALLY think about it - 1 win for *9* losses ON AVERAGE. I request a publicly displayed scoreboard available in-game so we can see what the numbers are for republic vs imperial victories. P.S. Subscriber Discuss.
  2. YES!!! I remember Manaan in KotOR - the visuals of the environment and the world music made it one of the most enjoyable worlds to play through. Somewhat relaxing and peaceful. I know we aren't going to see the exact same world we were unfortunately banished from in KotOR, but I would really LOVE to see some of the same map architectures that were present in kotor. Thank you Devs for bringing us a refreshing dive into this brave new world. Can't wait to see what you guys plan to do with the storyline of the historical progression of Manaan after Revan.
  3. Yes yes yes. A museum on one of the fleet ships or even better - capital world - would be AMAZING. Maybe you could call it the Republic/Imperial War Hero Memorial Site or something cool like that. A massive room with statues of those top players in their preferred stance and armor would be soooooooooooooo cool. I think we would all like to see some new exclusive pvp armor sets that give slightly higher stat boosts than the current ranked pvp gear available on the fleet. something like +2-3 more to base stats than the ranked gear. Mounts aren't all that cool imo. I know a lot of people like them but I'm fine with a basic vehicle as long as it reaches the same speed as the other more unique models. Companion upgrades or personal starship upgrades would be cool too. Like maybe a trophy section on your personal starship to display ahievements and leaderboard position for each season. As for companions, unique pvp companion gear that is slightly more effective against players than the ranked mods. Again, just a +2-3 base stat boost and maybe +3-4 Expertise rating on each piece. Vendor perks. If you're the best player for your faction, why shouldn't you be recognized galaxy-wide and shown the appreciated you deserve from those NPCs you work so hard to protect? Discounts. 5-10% discounts on a major variety of vendors within your side's faction and unique greeting and goodbye dialogue. It pays to win - but it should literally PAY to win. Top leaderboard exclusive buffs. Probably going to be opposed by everyone but i think it would be cool. 1-2% damage reduction and maybe like +3% to expertise rating or something like that.
  4. I play as sage on the only west coast PVP server. In unranked we get our asses handed to us the majority of the time. Gear has a lot to do with your probability of survival in WZs. You probably run into a lot of fully geared tier 2 Obroan sages who know how to mod properly for maximum effect. Also, if the sage is fully geared, has mods for damage reduction AND has a shield from guardian of course he is going to seem nearly unstoppable. Cooperation can go a long way to keep team mates alive. As for me - 1/2 tier 1 Obroan, 1/2 tier 2 Obroan - modded and specced for heals (not properly modded for effect) and I get dropped within 10 seconds of leaving the safe zone about half the time. Consecutive Stuns + interrupts + slows = quick death regardless of class. I don't believe sages are OP at all. In fact, I think that sorcerers are more OP in comparison.
  5. Well the quick responses was unexpected. I expected the majority of responses to be harsher and more critical, also a little snickering and skill bashing. I have reconsidered and won't quit. I was a little ashamed of how bad I was doing, not uberbad - I got top healer about 5 times (out of about 40+ matches), over 300k heals about 10 times which is decent - but it still seemed like no matter how good I or my teammates did the imps just hit harder and healed more efficiently. And in general chat it seemed like I wasn't the only one who thought the odds seemed out of our favor for the most part. Also, I'm playing on the Bastion - the only PVP server on the West Coast. There is still SOOO much to learn but I don't know where to start. I'm scouring the forums for quickslot setups, combat tips, skill rotations, alacrity/critical balance (I'm playing Sage healer). I'm watching youtube vids to better understand how to play objectives and focus on playing my role properly but I'm not finding any of it fast enough. I am in a guild and when I do get to pvp with them we win about 65-70% of the time. They're good peeps but the rage is there as well. The $40 was for a 2400 cc pack and then 60 days sub. I am currently under-geared but it's hard to imagine getting full Obroan at the rate we are stacking the comms on the Rep side. Imps gathering comms at 3x the rate we are = imps upgrading faster and being able to afford more/better equipment --> more Republic losses. As far as going on imp side - never going to happen. Other server, no. I RP the jedi ideals and can't stand representing the evil of the empire. I may have been unfair in my assessment of the storyline, its decent but so much grinding on killing the same mobs. Datacron hunting is pretty fun and worth it for the perma stat boosts, but gets old after a while, though the backstory of the Old Republic is unmatched in any other mmo or fictional universe for that matter. I played KOTOR when it first came out and will never forget that journey. Also, hearing that Revan dies after we free him was very depressing. Legacy objectives keep me busy when I'm bored, but the rewards and payout isn't worth the time and effort after a while. But like I said originally: PVP is the endgame. Currently on the Bastion, the Imps are gaining comms at a much faster pace than the republic and as long as that goes on, they have the edge in pubs for the majority of the matches. I'll bounce back into it but I'm not going to fool myself about what I'm jumping into - Better equipped and more coordinated imps and undergeared, uncooperative, demoralized Repubs in the majority of pub matches. I checked our leaderboards and noticed Double Bubbles at the top (followed by 4 imps =[ ), but his presence alludes me and I never see any of the top players in pubs. Perhaps they mob in guilds and only pvp in select groups and if that's the case than they're smarter and more effective no doubt. But as long as us noobs are left to the pub WZs on our own, it's a slaughterhouse in there.
  6. I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT THE REPUBLIC SIDE HAS MAJOR PVP PROBLEMS. We usually have the will to win, we have the gear to compete most of the time, sometimes we even have the necessary cooperation but it just seems that Imperial skills and players are way OP compared to the republic ones. I had dropped about $40 because I wanted to get even with Imperial players after being ganked repeatedly on Tatooine and Nar Shadaa thinking that once I hit 55 I would be able to bolster up my stats with better gear and skills and compete. This is not the case and this is not what I paid for. In the last 2 days of the double xp event I have played 40+ WZ matches and won probably 7-8. There is no communicating how depressing it is to lose as many consecutive times as I have only to have some Imperial players rub it in at the end. Bioware and EA, you guys got me for the $40, congrats on doing your job, but never again will I buy a subscription for this completely disappointing game. After countless hours of grinding to level and finding datacrons and doing the Legacy objectives, etc. etc. I have come to realize that I have been wasting my time. PVP IS THE ENDGAME. And after going through the overwhelming losses in PVP on the Republic side I am just done with it completely. Sad, depressed, frustrated - none of these can truly communicate how I feel. I only wish the developers could go through the frustration of fighting for hours on end only to achieve as many consecutive losses as we deal with on the Republic side so they know what I mean. The storyline was mediocre. The legacy objectives arent worth the time and effort. The free to play game is a hopeless struggle. And above all, the PVP was over before it even started. The game is uninstalled and I am going to try to close this account. I have never been so frustrated with a game in all of my life and I have about 10 years of experience with 15+ major mmorpgs. This game is the biggest disappointment in my whole career of gaming.
