  1. it flows in waves. Right now I guess the French caught on and are starting to exploit this.
  2. I like to think of the Red Haze of text in the middle of my screen has Hard Mode The ability to disable red error text is very annoying for melee classes.
  3. I'm assuming in 4 man flashpoints queuing? This is where you say "I'm not getting the heals, I'm out." Then you leave. You can queue up again and hopefully get a different group, if it is the same group just cancel and queue up again. I have a tank. If the healer is not healing me and the group won't kick them, I leave. There have been times where I pulled out my Treek and ran with her as a healer because the "healer" wasn't doing their job.
  4. I haven't run into this in SWTOR, but yes, that would be ninja jackhole looting
  5. you can not ninja loot in this game. Everyone has the ability to roll Need, Greed, or Pass. You can be jerk about looting, but you were fully in your rights (and not being a jerk) rolling on that item... because it was a tank off hand.
  6. I bet a Legacy Bank for resources would fix this issue. Not only that but the server would only have to keep track of one pool of resources for each legacy instead of one pool for each character. I probably have multiple of the same resource on 2-3 different toons due to there being no legacy resource bank.
  7. It maybe that cheap now, prices tend to fall the longer a set exists.
  8. ESO looks and plays like trash. The reason the RPG is so great is because players are customizing it to their liking using mods. The mods I use in Skyrim make the game look damn close to next gen graphically. Those great elements which make Skyrim such an appealing game to the masses are non existant for ESO. ESO looks worse than SWTOR and the game play is rough. Now, the new MMOs coming out in the next year... those may have an impact on SWTOR, but certainly not ESO.
  9. That would only give players more choices on which one set of gear they want all their characters that use for that particular stat. That would not positively impact multiple aspects of the game for various character levels and create a desire to spend more money in the Cartel Market compared to an appearance tab. In the end I would still only have one set of legacy gear per stat. I would not spend more money in the cash shop which means I am no longer supporting the game like I used to. If there was an appearance tab, then I would not only spend more money in the cash shop, i would spend A LOT more money since I can have multiple outfits across all character levels instead of just the one I currently have.
  10. Every game has "good bye" and "I hate this game" posts. Developers do not (or should not) base their game choices on what people say in the forums. They should base their decisions based metrics and how their sales are doing.
  11. and one new race that is just a reskin of the current ones and all races sharing the same body model, just texture reswapping. And yes, new planets sounds like a huge deal, but each planet is really just 1 zone in a game. Put it in context. In the last 2 plus years they have released 3 new game zones, 2 new PvP matches and GS.
  12. The Dramatic Extroverts set is not an original design, the whole outfit consists of parts from other sets that has been slightly modified. The cost to unlock sets account wide is more based on how much time it took to design the set. Designs like the Sensuous Dress and Jori Daragon's set have the higher cost to unlock account wide because everything on that set is original (and still new).
  13. I can not blame you. Bioware limited their own game development by trying to make their unique feature voice acting. Because of this feature, all new content has a much higher cost over most MMOs that are releasing new content at 2-3 times the speed. Even compared to games released with in the last 10 years, SWTOR does not make any significant improvements on the MMO genre and I find they still lack a lot of basic MMO features like appearance tabs, resizing of all windows (GTN, character pannel, etc), eliminating pop up text in the middle of the screen etc. And with next gen MMOs releasing in the next 6 months, I'm not holding my breath for SWTOR. Good luck in your new game. You an always visit if you feel the need since it is FTP.
  14. That would probably be the easiest change but would not encourage me to spend more money in the CM except on the rare occasion something nicer than what I currently have shows up, which happens rarely and that would only affect my low level character. And if it is only one outfit then I would probably just buy that on the GTN and save my money. By making all gear legacy bound (assuming it is only reputation gear and CM gear) then they are only expanding my choices for that 1 outfit I use end game. There is still no reason to gather multiple looks for my characters or adapt their appearance to the environment. This game has the most cumbersome outfit customization system I have ever seen in an MMO. It is cost prohibitive to change your characters look on the fly, bloated, and time consuming. There is nothing fun or easy about changing a characters appearance. Once players hit a certain point in the game where they have 2-3 toons that can share one set of raid gear, there is no reason to use anything but one set of Legacy Bound gear and let other roll need on the rest of the gear drops.
  15. Think of all the storage and possible money you can make crafting though
  16. exactly. Right now I have zero reason to support this game via the Cartel Market. I pay a subscription and that is it. It costs nearly 500k each time to pop out my 72 mods and augments out of my gear just to change my appearance and that does not even count the cost of MK-9s to gear out my characters look. There is zero chance I will spend that much money every time I transfer my mods around. It is easier to keep everything in Legacy Bound gear and share one set betweeen 2-4 characters. As much as I love changing my characters appearance and spending 60-80 dollars a month on Cartel Coins for new outfits and Hypercrates, it is no longer worth it.
  17. Mod swapping for me includes all mods, armourings, enhancements, and augments. Even with millions in the bank I would quickly go broke if I swapped all my mods for 1 weeks worth of ops runs just to maintain an appearance for each my 4-5 characters.
  18. Pulling out a full set of mods and augments once per character to maintain a look is not feasable, especially if you add in the additional cost of mod slots to each characters appearance related gear. Running 6 characters on weeklies pulling out rank 72-78 mods and MK-9s twelve times is extremely expensive to maintain an appearance.
  19. Legacy Bound gear can be purchased at your Capitol Planet (high cost) or through reputation based venders (low cost). Some people also have 4 whole legacy bound outfits sent to every character they make because they were subscribers during the release of Galactic Starfighter. You can take your end game mods out of the ops/PvP armor and put it in the Legacy Bound gear. Once it is in the Legacy Bound gear you can then mail it to any of your characters on that server.
  20. I have 4 level 55s, 3 level 50s that are being leveled to 55 and a few characters below that. I am at the point where I have so many characters that share the same stats that all I ever use is Legacy Bound armor with high level mods plugged into them. One set of gear can cover at least 2 classes, more if I have duplicate classes on the opposite faction. Because of this, end game, I am no longer interested in character customization. All those outfits in the Cartel Packs, the special outfits for events... no longer hold an interest for me. I spent a lot of Cartel Coins and in game credits for outfits before I started shelling out all my gear, but now there is no reason for me to spend money. There are only two ways to change this for a lot of end game players that use legacy bound gear: 1) lock legacy bound gear to 1 character as long as it has mods in it. I do not want to see this happen and I am sure most feel the same way. 2) create outfits tab. If outfit tabs are created I would suggest a few ideas so they remain a money sink. Release them according to level range only or sell them on the Cartel market. Unlocking more than 1 outfit tab should have a high cost. Charge credits, based on character level, any time a player wants to change an item in an outfit slot or switch between outfit tabs. I am sure a lot of people do not play like I do or have as many max level characters, but eventually everyone will reach the roadblock I hit and their interest in the Cartel Market will quickly wane.
  21. People are lazy and want easy wins. So con them. Stick higher level Endurance augments in your gear to make it look like you are wearing higher level gear than you are. Hell, on my Mara I just transfer my JKs tank gear to her because it has high Endurance. Sure, the Shield and Defense is completely useless and I lack Crit and Power, but people can't tell that and for the most part it turns out fine.
  22. Check out Guild Wars 2 dye system. The major difference is that is GW2 there are thousands of possible colours (they have not released that many) plus they have started releasing dyes with textures and I think effects like glowing and reflective properties. A collection system is viable but it also requires more than 25 colours.
  23. What if Rakghouls are just the first stage of the virus, the following stages are talking like you are on crack, shrinking to waist high and wearing brown robes.
  24. Jeeves is patient zero. He is at the epicenter of each outbreak and god knows what is going on under those robes!
