i'm shocked. I would expect you to be one of the last people to make a statement like this.

Okay so, a lot of us probably know this by now - that some servers - like jung ma and prophecy of the 5, and well most if not all of the european servers that aren't the red eclipse or t3-m4, are pretty much well dead servers. And well with 4.0 the population sort of increased a bit, but then wen't back down to pre KOTFE levels. So if we look at TORSTATUS about a year later now, we can see, if you click on either north america or europe, and click on the population trend, its interesting to see that its gone way down. Now there was sort of a population resurgence on begeren colony which brought the population trend back up a little bit, but that didn't last long - as some of you may see, its well a dead server again, though not as dead as jung ma of course. Now if we take a look at the home page and well the top 20 servers - what has my eye at attention is that jedi covenant and the shadowlands are no longer able to regularly hit standard status, that is expected to be light status now. And from what it looks like to be, both of those servers have begun on the path to being dead servers as well. So now, we have if it remains to be that way, 13, possibly maybe 15 out of 17 servers who will only be in light status for the majority of the time and well may become dead servers if they have not already. So this goes back to the original question. Is it time to consider merging the servers? Possibly. But I do have to wonder if the rogue one movie will bring some people to play SWTOR in december. I also do consider if KOTET (5.0) will try throwing a hail mary to bring back some glory in the population levels. So i don't know, but if it comes down to it - i'm not opposed to a server merge. At some point though - I have to wonder, if all of the servers start being able to no longer hit standard status though, might that be the time to finally pull the trigger on a server merge? Who knows.

eh, its not that bad. was it tedious in some of the chapters? sure, but there's always room for improvement
