  1. I have 5 level 50s... 1 Empire, 4 Republic. Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Trooper, Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular. I could probably have done 2 or 3 more, but a mixture of boredom with the game and spending my time doing other things has prevented me from doing so.
  2. No, OP, I disagree. I didn't find the mobs difficult as I leveled, nor do I find them difficult at endgame. You just have to work on your gear. Whenever I had trouble as I was leveling, it was clearly a sign that I needed to work on my gear a bit... I'd upgrade some mods/barrels/armoring, go back and kill those mobs with ease. The poison pill is the story and the lack of end game content, as someone else said earlier. The story is great, don't get me wrong. However, it draws you in, you enjoy it immensely... but then you get to the endgame, and it just drops off from there. You run the same OPS, FPs and dailies many times over, press the spacebar many times because you've already seen the story and no longer care to watch it... you gear up... and then... not much. Had they spent as much time working on the endgame as they did the story, the game would be wonderful. Perhaps the endgame will improve over time. I really hope it does. Until it does, people will continue to leave the game... it's inevitable. People get bored, and go do something else. Honorable mention: the game engine. It's a mess.
  3. Space is terrible... especially if you played swg and spent time in space. No comparison, really.
  4. $0... I have been paying them $15 a month for a year now. I think that's good enough.
  5. I'm in the exact same boat as you. It's rather interesting that, for as many mistakes as were made with swg, people kept playing it. For me, the space game had a lot to do with that. When I would get bored with the ground game, I'd go to space, and vice versa. It was like two games in one. Space in this game is a joke in comparison.
  6. I couldn't have said it better myself. I have leveled 5 characters to max level in this game. I have played other mmo's in the past and have leveled one character to max, and perhaps one alt. That is it. The reason I did it here was to experience as much of the story as possible... they really made leveling a pleasure, whereas in other mmo's it felt like a long, boring grind. Now, had they focused on the endgame more, I think a lot more people would have stuck around. They pull you in with the story, you get to the endgame, you run the fps and ops a bunch of times, gear up... and then what? I leveled another alt or three, but for people who only like to level one character, the endgame is pretty dry. It would also help if the game wasn't so buggy and generally unstable as well. I see this game as having had incredible potential, but it fell far short in some very key areas, unfortunately. And yes, I agree, it would have been a great rpg. As it sits, that's all it really has going for it.
  7. I'd say for the $5 it is going for now, it is worth getting. You get a free unlock for the upper deck on the fleet (instead of paying 1mil credits on each of your characters) and you get a nice speeder for while you're leveling. It's worth the $5 price tag. It was definitely not worth the extra $20 I paid for it at launch, however.
  8. Your post made me laugh Vladnar. I hope you intended this to be funny... if not, I apologize for finding what you said amusing. Here's my problem. My two favourite classes are Smuggler and Bounty Hunter... two classes that can be played completely neutral, if you so choose. You're doing a job for the Republic or Empire, that's all. I don't consider my Smuggler to be Republic, nor do I consider my Bounty Hunter to be Imperial. Politics are boring... I prefer to stay out of it. I've also leveled one of each Republic class to 50... I've seen the stories, they were good, but once was enough for me. By not playing an Imperial, I would be missing out on half the stories in this game. I want to see these stories, but I also want to be able to keep in contact with my guild. Do you see my issue? Had BioWare not made such an interesting game, story-wise, I would not be having this issue. Damn you BioWare for making the game interesting!
  9. I like the idea of having cross faction guilds. When my guild started playing, they chose Republic, which was fine with me. Now that many of us have leveled at least 4 characters, 1 of each class, some want to explore the Imperial side to see the story over there. Yes, there's always the option of making a guild on the Imperial side that you can throw all your alts in, but it would just be much better to have everyone able to talk to each other. Perhaps this could be a future legacy perk. I'd actually take it a step further and say people should be able to do cross faction flashpoints and operations. About 90% of the fp's and ops in the game are the same for both sides anyway, and if you can pvp with people of the opposite faction in your group, why not fp's as well? I know there are people out there thinking of the rp element, but you can always say that in times of war, at times two sides have to join to fight a common enemy. I'm not saying we should be able to visit each others fleets or anything, as it is still a war, but being able to play together under some circumstances would be great, especially considering this game has seen better days, population-wise. Allowing something like this would double (or triple, in some cases) the available players for fp's. Just a thought.
  10. I'm not a fan of the black-cored sabers either, but as someone said above, if you don't like them, don't use them. And I don't. I do however like to use those crystals in my ranged weapons, as I think they look quite nice in there.
  11. This game will be around for a long time, especially with the f2p model coming. Whether you and I will still be playing it in a year, or even six months, is the real question. It depends on what they do to the game and whether you agree with the direction the game is going in.
  12. I'm in the same boat. They should have had the current system in place the first time around. It's like we've been screwed over by transferring in the first place, and by not waiting for the forced merges. I am sure I could have kept my names, as I started to play well before the official launch due to the pre-order. Disappointing, isn't it?
