  1. Loooool. Hate is an awfully strong word, I suppose forums leave something to be said for tone and inflection. As far as (4) DPS going into KDY it's definitely not a for-sure that they're going to wipe. Typically if I'm pulling agro, I'll threat drop when I get low on HP. I skulk for a second, then continue burning. You can also kite while maintaining agro until it switches, in which case the DPS can use the same tactics. These are techniques learned out of necessity, if one player goes down...so be it. If all the players are wiping where an identical party isn't, should the entire game-mechanic be altered to suit, or should time be spent looking into your arsenal to see how you personally came make it happen?
  2. Wicked is certainly on-point here, what happens when they have to run Oricon for the first time and have never used an interrupt? At some point, the going will get tough. Each class is equipped with skills that allows them to survive, knocking down the difficulty to a whack-a-mole style gameplay only hurts the players in the long run.
  3. They fill space as ambiance as far as I was concerned, something I'm very happy to have, as opposed to not being an option. Interaction would be a plus, I wonder if it'd mean additional data having to be loaded in for each instance?
  4. Two things that will be implemented. Thanks guys!! (It was laughable how high the GTN went on the large wall hook)
  5. I love it! Next 2X Exp, no more fretting when (4) DPS come up. I'll sit happily with an INV full of Medpacs and carry the whole team
  6. Good morning! First, loving the stronghold system. Now for das content, I was visiting my Kaas Stronghold where I'd placed a rather menacing Lord Scourge and a Rakghoul infected-Kira. Lo and behold, I find a sweet Jedi Padawan and an off-the-shelf Sith Lord. Of course they were holo's so what help could they possible offer in terms of security, but that's neither here nor there. I was curious, was this another performance issue? I can understand the additional data having to load being a problem, just wanted to verify. Cheers to this being a bug, if not, I'll live. P.s. Has anyone experienced effects in their stronghold that are definitely not from you? My GSH-Bar on the bottom of the screen showed 1/35 yet once a pink lightsaber popped out of thin air. Another time a firework-like effect went off...and I have no firework skill or decoration, again it showed 1/35. It might be lagging on the occupants number, or as I'm referring to it: Ghosts in the machine.
  7. Given your cache of decorations is tied to your character and not each stronghold individually, I'll definitely be sticking to one. Much rather have the stronghold I'd envisioned instead of four empty strongholds.
  8. If you wanted to interact with objects in your house, you should play the Sims
  9. Personally, performance > NPC count for me. I can't imagine the banter we'd be hearing if there was excessive lag related to others creating a phalanx of Imperial guards. Let us hope things progress smoothly and they determine it can be "safely" raised down the road.
  10. My condolences. I went through PvP in order to get the Str/Power Relics (had horrible luck with them dropping in Op's) and all I could tell people was I need them, and I'm sorry. It's fun to attempt the mission goals, I for the most part ignore combat when it's not a for sure victory. Number one recommendation: Don't let the s*** talkers get to you. Get your banners!
  11. It's accessible to all, it just requires you to be laughably bad for an hour or so. I don't mean to say that you in particular are bad at PvP, that's purely from my own perspective. The same can be said from the opposite position though, PvP'ers are being coerced into PvE content if they so desire particular decorations. From BioWare's perspective, they're getting more people to try more content. Sometimes it's good to break out of your comfort zone, it just blows having a team of VERY angry people yelling at you while you do it
  12. I have the possibility of cheese on this burger?! I'm never going to McDonald's again!
  13. I clicked the link after being subscribed for months and received my pack, so you should be groovy. As for the transfer, haven't used it so I can't really say =X
  14. What I meant was some of the packs guarantee you 1 SUPER Rare, 2 Rares, 1 Companion Gift, X Jawa Junk. In that way, categorically you are guaranteed to receive one of the items.
  15. Anyone know what the drop rate is for the decorations in the CM packs? Is it a guarantee you receive one of them or are they a possibility for the 2 rare items?
  16. Ouch, that certainly limits the design possibilities. I suppose it does force us collect a helluva' lot more.
  17. Agreed. It could be set up as benchmarks. As your surpass X NPC's in your stronghold your max player capacity is now reduced to Y. Have it be in orders of five to keep things simple. I'm very willing to have max 25 people if it would allow more NPC's. Single player, the way I role. (prepared for volley of stones from MMO-definers)
  18. Roger that, no grand army at the entrance. Time to study up.
  19. For future reference (and too prevent me from being overzealous in my design) what is the NPC limit? Also, does it extend to the holo-statues of your alts/companions?
  20. In the novel Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void (which takes place 25,793 BBY) the Cathar race is very prominent in the Jedi Order. You find the Je'daii (not yet the Jedi) using traditional swords which will, over time, evolve into the lightsabers we're familiar with today. I could definitely see the Warstaff having advantages in combat as it isn't very common these days and leaves room for plenty of unexpected attacks.
  21. While it's very clear what you're talking about with Malgus (him being the face of the Empire) I think BioWare has been laying the groundwork for the next big-baddie. While it's more subtle than the AMAZING CGI videos released initially, it's certainly kept me excited for the future. I think your qualms are more-so with the marketing of the game. These Dev blogs are great for us, us being the checkers of the forums, but you'd have to be fairly involved to catch wind of new FP locations. Reading a page of text isn't as appealing as a minute-long video of intense fight scenes. Personally, I think BW made a great decision to revisit popular destinations of KoTOR. The images of these planets will stimulate the desire to play and explore the planets we'd already fallen in love with.
  22. I'm a huge fan of this as well, breathing a whole lot of fresh air into the crafting world. What does frighten me is you mentioned color crystals, which I farmed none-of! I'd been concentrating on gemstones for the Synthetic Kits. I'd never been a successful crafter, so I only have one character with 450/450/450 crafting skills. The rest of my alts either have no skills selected, or are floating around 0 - 70. That will all change now!
