The thing is, there were many trees I was unwilling to invest in, because they took a very long time and effort to develop their full identity. 12x XP allowed to me get past that slow, awkward phases quickly and get into the good parts of the tree in as few fights as possible. It also allowed me to "double up" on certain classes, because I wanted to go through the other sex's romances, or choose some small stuff differently, but the major difference was how quickly I could go up the trees..

Leave it to MMO players to view a gain in a negative light. The damage dealt being reduced woks out to about generating 83% more threat than DPS characters instead of about 91%. A loss, but not a massive one, especially considering damage numbers are being tweaked all across the board. The Sundering Strike thing is a net loss (and makes me wonder if it will still be called Sundering), but it has nothing to do with Soresu Form.

Sometimes, on my healer, when an enemy is in melee range, on his last legs, and my companion is melee and too far away to charge, and when all my instants and channels are on cooldown, and when a lightsaber hit will be faster than it will take Affliction to tick, and when I don't want to bother with casting Disturbance because of the activation time and Force cost, I hit people with the saber.

I kind of wish we could have a second focus instead of a lightsaber, because I never have reason to deal weapon damage except in solo leveling. It's called an electrostaff.

I wonder if people realize there are 54 whole levels where you have more to do than farm dailies in this game, and it will soon be 59 whole levels. Because from what I can tell, no one does.

The cost is there to discourage you from swapping the mods, making it more economical to install the mods directly on top of the old ones and destroying the, unless all your other mods are worse. As such, I don't see it going away anytime soon. The best you can hope for is being able to remove them at cost.
