And I'm sorry - I don't believe Traceguy's story. Doesn't fit with my experiences attempting the same thing.

You likely did it wrong, or in the wrong spot. If you follow to the original thread, you'll see testimonies of others who have tried and succeeded., and even did better than me

  2. The companion window has been FUBARed since KOTFE, and since you don't seem interested in letting us favorite/pin favorite companions, can you please let us add companions to the quickbar, so we can summon them more quickly?

It would make summoning companions as easy as selecting pets and mounts that were placed on the quickbar

  3. I'm pretty sure all the SM flashpoints can be done without the droid. I would set your companion to heals and ignore the droid.

SM Flashpoints aren't tuned to level 80 so there's no bolster, and you'll be level shifted downwards if you're over the target level. If you can satisfy the mission by doing it on Vet Mode, that would probably be a better option.

Only the first heroic on a planet has been doubled.  PlanetName: Heroic is a daily repeatable.  What's new is that Mission: Heroic is now available to all tiers.  I forget if that one was infinitely repeatable or not but now it is.  Even with that it still doesn't make up for how much of a drag getting CQ is still if you don't play how the studio desperately wish you would.  The buff didn't go far enough to mitigate the massive nerf.

That's why I specifically said " if you ignore the fact they are repeatable, which allows you to earn even more."

Mission: Heroic was always infinitely repeatable, but it was only for levels 10-49

The fact is, for doing no extra work (i.e. 1 heroic per planet as usual), you get double points.

BTW I have 150% SH bonus and both yield only 5000

I'm counting the +10% bonus form the guild perk. It's still doubled with or without 5000/5200 >  10000/10400

but at least increase heroics to 7.5K or 10K double amount for other events.

Heroics have pretty much been doubled, if you ignore the fact they are repeatable, which allows you to earn even more.

Let's say prior to the nerf in 7.4.1, you were doing Toxic Bombs on a daily bases. This would net you "Balmorra: Heroic Mission", which was worth 5200CQP with 150% SH bonus. After 7.4.1c, they released "Mission: Heroic" to players level 50-80, and buffed it to give 5200CQP. Now, if you do Toxic Bombs, you will get

      Pre 7.4.1c Post 7.4.1c
    Mission: heroic 0 5200
    Balmorra: Heroic 5200 5200
    Total: 5200 10400

    May 2024, still a problem

As OP found, there was no problem, just steps that weren't being followed.

    1. Right click on your portrait and reset all active phases.

    2. Open your mission log and abandon all flashpoint missions.

    ETA:

This is also good advice to keep in mind.. If you drop a Flashpoint, you get a 15 minute "ban" from doing any more via Group Finder. The timer is invisible if you log in before the duration is up. So if you were to rage quit a flashpoint by logging out, you will be locked out of group finder, but won't see the timer.

Sometimes the queue lockout timer does not show (the red text). If you wait 15 minutes or so, it should unlock you.

This is exactly what is happening

The Conquest points ignoring the 150% SH bonus is a separate issue than Galactic Seasons points or Login Rewards

  8. Steve is spot on.

Go to your phone's settings and make sure you enable set Time/Date/Timezone automatically. The TOTP code is calculated based on a the current UTC/GMT time, so if you're out of sync, you will fail to match what the server is expecting.

The security key isn't proprietary to EA/Bioware/Broadsword. As such, the devs are abandoning the further costs and labor for the app. For what it's worth, I recommend finding a computer based TOTP password generator so you're not tethered to your phone just to play the game, and you can utilize copy-paste for faster and more accurate log ins. I use a browser extension that allows me to have the key copied to clipboard with as few as 2 clicks. I can then just Ctrl+V during log in.

  9. The Iokath daily area is a mess. 2 main complaints:

    1. Phases. The phased daily areas are marked as story/personal, so they cannot be done with a group. Group members can opt to join your "story" phase if they both allow for same-class story phases in settings, but nothing they do in your phase contributes towards their objectives.

    2. Companions. Companions keep getting removed half the time, requiring you to keep resummoning them. At least one mission I know of will not only remove your companion, but summon Theron Shan. Not ideal unless Theron Shan was your companion you were already using.

It seems to me like the Iokath daily area is treating the player as if they're going through the War on Iokath story. It shouldn't be this way, because as far as I can tell, Ossus, which has a similar daily/story area works fine.

I don't mind the idea of a difficulty slider, because that lends itself to a "play your way style" but curious how that would work grouping. Whose slider takes precedent, the person who formed the group?

The phase owner. You can see their name generally at the top-center of the screen

Yes CM is normally locked on the PTS server, however sometimes the new styles can be viewed in the character change terminal. Not always OP, but you have nothing to lose just by looking. If not there you lose what 2 mins of playtime.

The character customization changer is currently locked on PTS due to being tied to the Cartel Market.

I'm sure content creators like Swtorista will be showing any new hairstyles.

She tried to, but unfortunately, as mentioned, no one can use the customizer right now.

This is what we get on PTS

  12. They have the cartel market locked down on PTS, which includes character customization, so we can't get a preview anything, if there is anything at all as early as 7.5. If the devs are serious about giving us more hairstyles,  hopefully they take this opportunity to finally give us Satele Shan's hairstyle. Saying it's long overdue is an understatement. Should have been on their cash shop day 1.

    Gear doesn't matter.

At some point it does, at least during a level sync. A level 80 player was on Discord a some months ago asking for help with the final boss on Ziost. We determined that they were in something like 240 gear. They were instructed to get 324 gear for their level, and after that they had zero trouble with the Ziost boss.

  14. I for one love Uprisings. They're a lot shorter than FPs, a little more challenging, and they are well worth it if you're looking for conquest points. With just 1 other player, you can get through Destroyer of Worlds in 10 minutes.  You can potentially make nearly 150,000CQP in 30 minutes (Vet Weekly + Socialite I)

The #1 thing I hear from others refusing to do them is "The rewards aren't worth it". To me, it's quite the exact opposite with Flashpoints. Flashpoints often feel like a waste of time once you hit level 80 since there's no XP to gain, and nearly no conquest points. They just turn into chaotic slogs where people won't even hit spacebar. I can spend 15-30 minutes getting through 1 flashpoint, and have nothing to show for it at the end.

Bioware was likely hoping Uprisings would serve as additional endgame content while everyone waits for more story content. Unfortunately, we're past that point now, and they just serve as old abandoned content.

If Broadsword won't improve the rewards to attract non-conquest players, one solution could be lowering the Uprisings queue requirement from 4 players to 2. Two players with level 50 companions can handle it just fine.

But let's be real, asking Broadsword to fix Uprisings is probably as useless as asking them to fix GSF.

  15. It's a lot easier than before, but it's even more so if you already know your class, the general combat,  and are playing within your legacy where you have legacy buffs, datacron master bonuses, and legacy presence perks from companion conversations. Heck, you probably even have a companion of level 50 before you have your ship. I know some of us are pulling Shae Vizla from the mailbox at level 1. The true crime is Darth Thanaton and Darth Baras are now level 10.

New players are still struggling. New players will be inadequately geared, just click whatever ability they feel like, if not spam the level 1 filler, and will avoid their purge, interrupt, and stun abilities like the plague.  Someone was asking for help with the False Emperor just yesterday, complaining on the fleet about needing to look up the mechanics for the final boss because it was too hard and they're still failing. They refused to believe it when I told them there were no special mechanics to know. Just "spank and tank Malgus from the stairs". Still to this day I'm seeing many players complain that they can't solo those 2 Jedi without Vette (Sith Warrior story on Tatooine).

was under the impression that, like the Acolyte/Harbinger of fear on Oricon, the rare spawn is supposed to have a guaranteed drop of the item; though I've never heard of anyone getting the mount drop off the common spawn engineer

The mount should only drop from Martinique Desler, which is the rare spawn, unlike the Assistant, who is a common spawn.

As a heads up, if you fail to get the mount drop from Martinique Desler, it's likely due to the anti-farming mechanic in the game, and not a bug. I'd advise anyone looking for the mount to pay attention. If the Desler Assistant stops dropping loot, you've been locked out, and should switch to an alt and continue farming, and repeat.

However, Customer Service might help you out if you do get hit. I've sent them an in game ticket and they confirmed that I defeated Martinique Desler and did not receive the mount, so they mailed it to me.
