Hello everyone,
I don't know if I am the only one who has this feeling, but with every patch in the last months that has new content, it seems that these patches also bring more and more major bugs. I'm not talking about typos or grammatical errors, these I would consider minor.
But when certain crucial functions of new events and stories are not working, these are major things to me and I wonder how it can be that these things occur so often. Just a few examples: I can't complete the challenge dish mission of the feast of prosperity event, because I can't place the ingredient on the grill, it's not clickable and throwing also does not work, then the no-lipsync bug in cutscenes, or the impossibility to complete the "Task at hand" mission when clicking the launch buttton (see known issues 6.1.4).
Looking back a few months, we also had these sort of issues in the Nar Shaddaa nightlife event and, at least for the German version, that there was no text shown in the answer choices when talking to Elara on Odessen (I dont know the English name of this companion mission, in German it is "Alles im Lot", something like "everything is ok"). And there were more issues, these are just the ones that came to my mind.
I don't want this thread to be a bug report thread, I am more interested in talking about it in general, because this is a state that is becoming more and more frustating to me and all in all I think this also is bad quality. Obviously, Bioware is not testing new content properly before it reaches the live servers, I can't come up with a better explanation. Things like a lip-sync bug or not showing the text of the answer choices should be noticed on the first testing of a cutscene, so it's not like the team has to spend hours to check it.
Another annoying thing is the introduction of new bugs to older content/functions: We recently see new bugs in the Agent class story on Voss or base chat functions (right click to invite, Who-panel), or not respawning world bosses. I don't really understand why these bugs show up when Bioware is actually not touching these elements, but implementing new content.
@Bioware: What is the reason for these many new bugs and is it not possible to improve this?
