While I still have things to nitpick about the Traitor arc, what I do appreciate after Nathema fp is the deeper impression I've gotten on how impulsive Theron is as a character. Hearing the disappointment in his voice from player choices where he's kicked out or *gasp* dead -- that impression just came across for me and made me appreciate his character more. Of course, my toons will welcome him back into the fold, but if this was real life, there would be grave consequences! Another random thought: Shadow of Revan came out Dec 2014... Wow, by Dec of this year, 4 years have passed... I've never played an MMO for that long!! XD I can't wait for the new expansion and more time with Theron, Lana, and more of my companions <3 <3

Hey I just wanted to say salutations to posters and lurkers from French & German players! The entire time, I was under the assumption that people who frequent this post are Americans! But glad to see our neighbors from Europe sharing the love for the super spy ^v^ Also, going along with GEMINI 16 hacking Theron's implants to use him as a mole of sorts, do you think Theron shaved his hair off to fiddle with his implants because he suspected that he was being hacked the whole time? I don't know the time difference between Umbara and Copero, but I'm assuming it's a bit of a chunk enough for Theron to get to a conclusion or hypothesis. I'm trying to spin a good in-game reason for the hairdo that people were up in arms about in Jan/Feb. Of all the explanations to explain how GEMINI 16 can be the mole, I'm buying into the idea that GEMINI hacked Theron's implants.

I am actually looking forward to the Nar Shadaa Nightlife event that's coming up now. I never really gave it much thought, but after Nathema fp and with Theron back, for some reason, I'm looking forward to that event. During the fp, there was a moment when Theron, Lana, and my SW were fighting side by side with ugly Nathema monsters. And it just felt so right to me (￣▽￣) . The team back together again.

Question: what's the official time Theron has gone undercover? IIRC, it's been almost 8-9 months since Umbara update, right? Then has it been 8-9 months since Theron went away from his Alliance post or is this more of a headcanon thing?

Probably. I actually tried that (then pressed esc for the mawidge proposal), and your PC essentially says along the lines of "I expect flowers, gifts, love letters, and for you to say I love you a lot to me every day." I still found that option endearing and a bit funny because it's almost like Theron got whipped. If there's any disagreement or a big fight, all PC has say is "...trains" and Theron will be like "I'm sorry. I'm wrong. Please forgive me." Edit; actual words of that option under spoiler:

From his animations, Theron was clutching his heart or chest cavity area, but I have no clue how anyone can survive a lightsaber through your heart! All I can say is plot armor! I agree with what you say about organ failure to be the likely cause of death because you know ... lightsaber through your gut will probably kill off those cells of vital organs??? lol. Theron's cybernetics will likely prevent him from going into shock and go into shut-down mode. That will keep him alert enough to make decisions to boost his survivability instead of sitting still, increasing his vulnerability from surroundings.

I was bummed to see the Gravestone and the Fleet taken out, but have to say, I enjoyed the cutscene where the Gravestone takes out the Fleet when I played the fp for the first time. It did go out with a bang. Personally, I am glad to see Eternal Alliance falling apart because where the Outlander is the big third power without an equal rival - eh, I didn't see it going anywhere. I'm a bit miffed to see it all taken apart with another superweapon (of course it is...), but after all this leaves room for another expansion, which I am excited to see where our PC will go. *sigh* Iokath and how the superweapons were built, the creators of those superweapons... they were never explained were they? :\ The Alliance isn't over at the end of the fp; it's at the cusp of being broken down or at the start. Outlander still has Odessen as base of operations with almost barebone loyal supporters, not just Theron and Lana. I'm curious how the Alliance will play itself out with its biggest assets taken away.

I see it as more of a scale thing as in being the Wrath vs the Alliance Commander. Both betrayals did try to kill SW, which could lead to your crew in danger by losing a central pillar of power/protection, opening them to attack by other Sith Lords or targets of Republic without SW to protect them in some capacity. I, myself, still hate the act of betrayal by both characters but love them to bits. I just couldn't kill Quinn, yo.

Thank you for sharing your theory, OP When I watched TLJ, I, too, couldn't help but think of Kreia and of her conclusions that led to her hating the Force itself. Although she is not a canon character, I do find her an interesting one. (I wonder if Rian Johnson played KOTOR I and II... or he could have gotten ideas from different resources.) What I mostly enjoyed about TLJ's story was the exploration of the Force between Luke, Rey, Kylo Ren, and Snoke. While I didn't pay much attention to how Rey's character was crafted, I am learning to understand more why there's frustration. Back to the theory... The idea of the importance of No. of Dark Side users did not come across to me. I think your theory is the first time I'm thinking about it. I also thought about the Balance as a zero-sum game or number to number. Very interesting! I do agree the Dark Side is a perversion of the Force given how it warps DS users' body as proof. And if perversion is due to the effort of using the Force selfishly, I wonder if another word to explain perversion would be the effort to contain the Force? As in a person, a self, would be a container when as old Luke explained in TLJ, the Force is connected to all living beings. The Force cannot be contained, literally. And to combat abnormalities of the Dark Side, the Force manipulates in a linear fashion because time to living sentient beings in SW can only be interpreted in a linear way. So, the Force works to propels certain agents toward combating not just Dark Side users, but what those users crafted. Like how Palpatine was killed and his Empire was taken down for the New Republic. I think I watched a YT vid (can't find it right now) about Jedi & Sith Code where someone explained the Jedi Code by attaching "when" before every line. Then I thought perhaps by Jedi teachings emphasizing selfless, it could also lead it being timeless, too. As in the Force is an entity that cannot be bound by a self and time. Well said. I've never thought about Quinn's betrayal that way. If Imperial LI and Theron really wanted to go offline, they would have to come up with an elaborate fake death scheme. Out of all the other planets, I think Tatooine would be best since there would be some population to trade and survive, sandstorms, and more chances of exposure to prevent people from looking. Although Hoth could be a candidate, I don't think there's that much civilian population on Hoth vs Tatooine. Plus, Theron likes saying the word, Tatooine I guess same could be asked of Lana and Republic LIs especially Jedi Knight/Consular. Both are in similar positions as Theron & Imperial LIs. External pressure from Republic vs Imperial and inner pressure from being so duty-minded at times. After all, Lana was once a Minister. I agree with you that the Alliance, as an unintended perk, became a sanctuary for opposite faction LIs. Probably not just for our PCs and Theron/Lana, if you expand it even further.

LOL. I geeked out, too, when Corso tried to woo (and succeeded) my smuggler back. Yeah, Corso did sound more ... huskier? if I have to choose a word. But I think it's more to how the VA tried to show the 6-year time gap since the start of expansions. I don't really hear much difference from my SI. She sounds same to me as before. Then again, there's not a lot of content out there for players to hear.

Thanks for the post, OP. I've tried many other MMOs out there, but over time, I lose interest and click uninstall. However, SWTOR is still running on my computer for many years now, over many upgrades. I may not play it day to day, but I always come back to SWTOR when I feel like starting up another period of pure Star Wars. Because you know, 'coz it's STAR WARS! And it's the Old Republic era. I grew up playing KOTOR I and II. SWTOR may not have the fanciest of graphics, but it has great stories and fun characters. I'll keep subscribing. On another note, I may not have liked how Andromeda played out overall, but I do hope Anthem works out well. Good luck to BW devs working day and night. Hope they take care of their health while working as I've read about crunch times.

I'm surprised and intently curious by the negative feedback of TLJ. Couple of my friends and family hated it, too, while some of my other friends loved the movie like me. I want to ask and start a discussion why people didn't like it, but I think it's too early to start such discussion when the movie recently opened.

I just came back from seeing TLJ, and I'm spazzing out how good it was. Then again, I play SWTOR so I'm biased XD Jaw dropping. That's my reaction to the whole movie. To those who have yet to watch it, an advice. Make sure you go to the bathroom before watching the movie, lol. Because the trailers before TLJ starts are long. TLJ itself is 2.5 hrs, so it's long. I felt so bad for interrupting other's experience, and I literally stepped on someone's half-eaten popcorn like a clumsy drunk (drunk on Star Wars movie magic:cool:) to get out of my row. Ah... hahahahahahahahaaaaaaa I am definitely watching it again in theatres this weekend :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I also want to point out about the use of Valkorion's music theme. I noticed it during the spy grappling boss fight before the temple (forgot her name - sister to Valss). I think the music is not new, but reused from FEET. It certainly set the ominous tone while I was heading to the temple to have my heart broken again, ahahahaha. While I don't know Valkorion himself will make an appearance, I don't think the plot device that is the Sith Emporer will disappear so easily.

That is my current impression with FEET right now. I loved the announcement when it came out as I took it as a sign the team wanted to experiment and place more effort into the game instead of terminating all the servers permanently. (As recent news with Marvel Heroes established as a valid outcome *cough*). But as I played the chapters, I felt the monthlies were very lean. Compared to episodic games out on the market, it left me in a state of meh. With the traitor current storyline, I am more interested in how the writers will push the story further. Even though I do like Theron as a character, my focus has landed on how the whole traitor plot will play out. But I do hope the devs take the outcries after Umbara into account on how to ... treat Theron with respect for want of a better word. As in add more to his character development. Make his reasoning understandable and realistic in the context of Eternal Alliance. Because the last thing I want is to have Theron act in a way of typical, boring quest giver cutout as I thought he was going through some character development. That's why I was interested in romancing him besides the whole look. I did not know he had a band or the fact Tanno Vik's VA passed away Respectfully, I would also like to point out SWTOR has a localization process that involves German & French VA. That means (very likely) those across the pond listening to other versions of Theron. And localization/translation adds a lot of months to the finishing process. Include the strict overseeing by Disney-LucasFilms, what we see and play takes a lot of months plus development time. Adding more to logistical concerns like scheduling and what not. I am a fan of Theron, too, as well as Troy Baker's work. But I think it's important to acknowledge the process of the localization and those on the German and French servers. Because from the posts I've been reading, I didn't see much about localizations. I wouldn't call Theron a villain. Valkorion? Yes. Vitiate? Yes. Even Saresh? Yes? But Theron?? No.

As the title says. As The Last Jedi makes its debut across the world, you probably want to avoid the internet to watch the new SW movie spoiler-free. It's coming out this Thurs for those in NA. And to those who will watch it this week (like me), please be mindful of others who are waiting to watch it at a later time in Dec and next year. Remember to use your spoiler tags when discussing plot and themes in internet chats. Be courteous, just saying. That doesn't mean to be ignorant of the news as many unfortunate things are happening in the world right now. But if you want to extremely cautious, be aware as TLJ approaches.
