  1. Screenshots are painfully time-consuming, and occasionally frustratingly incomplete. They are beautiful ways of taking pictures in the game to save for later. They are -not- a viable replacement for much-needed chatlog ability. Please consider. /signed
  2. There have been 3 or 4 one-post threads about this, so I picked the most recent one to reply to... I would also be interested in seeing this touched up. I can't help but think that this is actually a bug, and the boots were intended to sound like bare feet, because when removing any other boots, my characters sound barefoot when moving. When I take off the covert energy boots, the sound doesn't change until I load a new map. (I know this has been stated previously, but adding I'm getting the same glitch.) Again, I realize it's a minor issue, but if it's also an equally minor fix, I'd like to see it tossed in on an upcoming update if possible. Thanks!
  3. Hey. I'm putting together something to share with the community once it's done, a video project for the Sith Warrior storyline, and I'm needing some last bits of dialogue to make it work. I have found almost everything else I need, save one or two clips. I don't know if what I am requesting would potentially spoil, so I'm going to put it behind a tag: Even examples that don't precisely fit will do... I'm looking for ideas to fill in gaps, and I can combine things with other dialogue snips out there. If anybody knows of an arc or mission or even a specific line where something like this is said by the Warrior to a person other than the subject of the comment, it might be a help. Thank you much to whoever makes time to read this, for letting me pick your brain.
  4. @AKHadeed: Alright. That was completely believable, and utterly hilarious. Turnabout and irony are a dastardly pair indeed. I loved it! @Frauzet: Yeah... that was cute. No matter which way you turn that, it was just... hopelessly cute. I love clever takes on the stuff that happens in game too, like why a given character has *insert random oddity here* following them around everywhere.
  5. @YoshiRaphElan: That was funny. Nothing like breaking a tense situation with unintended slapstick. I could just see that whole moment... especially with all the protocol in the military! At least he got his point solidly across before his unfortunate encore! @DomiSotto: I had to laugh at that one... My trooper Chase comes across feeling a little silly too. Grab the big gun, blast through the gangs and paramilitary, disarm the bombs... ooh, stop to get a cutting of the potted flowers! ...grab the gun again, complete rescue mission, blast our way out... lather, rinse, repeat. From one combat medic trooper to (possibly) another, your story was deeply felt.
  6. I had to think about who to give this one to, but I figured this combination fit the prompt best, and I had fun writing about a new character. Prompt: Laughing Fit Title: Sparks Catch Character: Ketron Lorin (Jedi Knight) and Kira Spoilers: None Author Note:
  7. Between having a very busy week and realizing that if I did the last prompt I'd probably be writing about Kath again, I decided to put that off. I did have a lot of fun reading though! Still working on the new prompt, and will probably bring in a new character for it!
  8. ...You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
  9. @AKHadeed- I found this one just as amusing as the last. I like their dynamic. @Alaurin- You posted enough recently about your JK, you make me wanna go play mine so I can read your stuff! @Frauzet- I checked out the blog... lots of nifty stuff. And yes, I agree... Morgon must meet a fittingly painful death. He's one of those Sith who takes outright cruelty to an artform. I will need to keep up on this story, so I can get the answer to the amusing Princess Bride misquote in my head: "Who kills Morgon? At the end! SOMEbody's gotta do it! Is it Ciner, Rufuro... who?" *lol*
  10. Okay... as promised, here is Part Two. Part One was last week's prompt. For those curious about the dialogue in the story versus in game, I did take several liberties with it in this story... some lines would have required multiple choices, and a whole chunk of it near the end is my own. It does follow fairly closely to what happened, however... naturally with certain personal biases tossed in. Prompt: Forever Will It Dominate Your Destiny Title: Shadow Consumes Light Character: Katharsys (Sorcerer) Spoilers: Inquisitor Story on Alderaan
  11. Okay a final round of comments before the next prompt, hidden politely for over-wordiness:
  12. @Frauzet- ...Yeah, I am really liking these two. Ciner is just awesome, and Ru's backstory is tragic enough I think a little of that arrogant snark will do him good. He'll end up getting far worse in his rise to power among the Sith, better he get used to it from a more benign ally. I am following this one with interest. Also, with regard to my story... it's hard in general to affect something and not be affected in turn, even as a player. I was, as I said, stupidly happy after completing this part of the arc. That has reflected in Kath. There will be an equally honest reflection in the next part to come... and such dynamics in story are what make this an awesome game.
  13. Okay... comments from the last prompt forward. Apologies to anybody I missed... I will most likely go back and read everything, may drop a few stray comments, but I know when I'm more behind than is good for me.
  14. @Mirdthestrill- On the LS option, I have found that even if you're going Light, the dialogue for this arc varies a LOT, and the results are highly dependent on your choices and actions. I haven't yet seen the full Dark version, and already I've seen the LS go several different ways. Alderaan is nothing if not a hotbed of intrigue and the dialogue trees are amazingly varied. That being said, the spoken dialogue was almost completely as it was in-game, though I took a lot of liberties with the context and internal dialogue to make it make sense with my particular situation. As for what he finds... well that will be next week's prompt, I think. Not 100% sure it'll fit, but I have a feeling it will.
  15. Hah! Resubscribed, and able to post again! I must go back and read some of the recent stuff so I can comment, but I checked the recent (and upcoming) prompt, and it was too perfect not to throw something together. I don't know if I'm completely happy with it yet, but it gets the idea across, I hope. This will be a two-parter featuring the Inquisitor line from Alderaan, which happened to be one of the pivotal arcs in my Sorcerer's in-game story. After playing through the scene featured in the first story, I was literally stupidly happy about it! This will be the Light part. Part two will be for next week's prompt and will be the obvious eventual outcome, for those familiar with how the story goes. It should be properly Dark enough for prompt purposes, and go a long way toward explaining why Kath feels the way he does about Jedi. Prompt: Luminous Beings We Are Title: Light Touches Shadow Character: Katharsys (Sorcerer) Spoilers: Inquisitor Story on Alderaan
  16. Alright, here it is... and apparently Tython is popular for this prompt! Mine might be a little... unusual. But to be honest, this is really the one situation on Tython I wondered most about after leaving! Prompt: Where Are They Now? Title: Patience Character: Can be filed under Caylenn Spoilers: Just Tython stuff
  17. Comments, quick before my subscription expires! (Only temporarily... it should be back in a week or two!) I will also try and sneak a prompt response up right after!
  18. @DarthSillyMonkey: That was an absolutely brilliant little piece! I loved Mako's mysteriously furious behavior, and all the snide comments from others on the ship... even his mark!... about how to fix things. I think a pet favorite moment of mine though was their discussion of his handwriting. That's one of those funny, personal little things you don't always think about... SO good I won't even mention it here in case somebody reads comments before your story. This was awesome!
  19. @Marissalf: An achingly beautiful piece. Interestingly I think what stood out to me the most was the focus on his glasses... such a part of him, an easy trigger for memories. (Kind of a pity there are none in game...) It rings very true though... when something happens, you want something to hold onto to keep those memories clear in your mind, a focus of some sort. I liked the honesty of that.
  20. @BrightEphemera: A very interesting take on things, showing one relationship that has almost ironic relevance to another. The reasons we exchange cards and poetry and dedicate songs is sometimes we find another person's words seem to fit just right. Message received it would seem... it will be interesting to see if this has the desired effect.
  21. @SifaSeven: I had NO idea that Hiran would refer to a Pureblood Sith as a "filthy alien"... seriously? He must be dumber than I thought... *lol*
  22. @Striges: Nice one. I liked the use of the mantra, and the sense of conflict I got from his thoughts. Given Jedi train themselves to be mindful of their feelings, yet not controlled by them, it stands to reason that irrational fears like phobias might be confusing... there's nothing really to "be mindful" of, so it makes sense that such fears might be more of a struggle to overcome. Also, nice prompt. I was late with my last story and apparently I'm early with this one... apologies for the unrelated back-to-back posts. Figured this one just begged me to get back to mischief, so just a brief interlude on Nakova. Prompt: Love Letters and Secret Valentines Title: Hot Under the Collar Character: Lord Nakova (Warrior) and Captain Quinn Spoilers: None
  23. Alright, I probably should have thought, before submitting a prompt, what I would actually write if it were used. After some actual pondering, I came up with this. Playing Katharsys, one of the things I found most fun was choosing dialogue responses. Some of them were tough choices. However, as I played through, I did notice a recurring theme where I always chose to call somebody out for making a crack about slaves or alien blood. This would be the first... and most memorable... of those choices. Prompt: Achilles' Heel Title: ...What Did You Call Me? Character: Katharsys (Sorcerer) Spoilers: Inquisitor Chapter I (Balmorra)
