  1. Similar,

I have objectives I can't remove because they are not active this week. It was like that last week as well. They seem to be random for any character or day I log in. I only have 2 on that character today, but I often time get at least 4 and I just can't track real objectives because those fake objectives are taking all the space available.

I would notice that my server sort was set to [Oldest to Newest]

Just for precision, cause I had noticed something similar previously as well.  Yet the sort was [most recently connected to] at the top of the list, down to [oldest connected to] at the bottom of the list relative to the previous game launch. So If yesterday I started playing on The Leviathan, then Forge, Satele, Malgus, Tulak, Shae, then the next day I would see the server list being Shae Vizla first, followed by Tulak, Malgus, Satele, Forge, Leviathan.

  3. - Can't have 2 mini-pets at the same time. Before Bug Update 7.5a, we could have a flying mini-pet + a walking mini-pet. Now I can only have one active at the time. Invoking one disband the other.

    - Here, without even doing anything beside loging in, the GS window says I have completed 2/7 weekly objectives (before Bug Update 7.5a I frequently had 1/7, though it would not block me from actually doing 7 when I was able to). Usually, it would only say 1/7 completed, but nothing would be marked as completed in the list of objectives. This time the objective for Terror from Beyond is kinda marked as completed, yet not completed). And currently I'm playing on my f2p account (I completed the GS track with my main (sub) account, and I can't care less about 7.5...), so obviously I would not be able to complete this objective with my f2p account.

Note that I had 588 points total at the end of week 12 (before this week reset). So, there is no points falsely added to my total despite the window saying I have completed 2 objectives.  I hope this will not block me from actually completing all 7 objectives I can do this week.

  4. "Story" difficulty level is fine.  "Story" is mean to enjoy the "story".

If you want a challenging experience during combat, there should be an option to up the difficulty. Any decent story based games have that. I'd like to say there is an option to set that if you right click your character icon... but I can't valide atm since the launcher gives me no server to login...

  5. Thanks @Jdast for the answer.

If they mentionned on the Stream it was a refurbished stream code out of lazyness, they didn't mentionned it in the recap article from which I took the code.

P.-S. I still want to slit Malgus throat once and for all though. The deco could be a beheaded Malgus statue, or a head in  bottle on a stand.

  6. I don't care that much for Malgus and can't wait to have an option to slit his throat once and for all (and have a decapitated Malgus  deco on following stream).

But, this stupid redeem code page don't work: https://swtor.checkout.ea.com/lockbox-ui/checkout/redeemCode?gameId=swtor

This stupid page is given when using the stupid Redeem link from this stupid page : https://account.swtor.com/en/account

And this Account page is accessed after login in through the Account Link onf the stu*** swtor.com home page.

I remember a different account and redeem pages in the past, but I guess they were "updated"

Yes, I used the "MalgusWhen" code (no quote...) and checked the mandatory, yet unnecessary, "If redeeming Cartel Coins..." checkbox.

The page just reload as if nothing had happen (and no, I don't get the email, even after relaunching the game)

Since I'm the only one to have posted about this... what should we conclude about people's interest about Malgus (or am I the only one to get fed the wrong redeem page?)

As suggested earlier in this thread, please reach out to support@swtor.com with the details of your transfer, so they have the necessary info. Be sure to include your account name. Thanks!

Well, good luck, I have never heard back from customer service since I opened an in-game ticket on March 28, nor from the email I sent to support@swtor.com on April 9. Just, no f was given so far.

  8. I'm really irritated. I already have no confidence in the Devs honesty in their messaging for their reasons for their bad ideas (like unsellable gear (to NPC vendors) at 7.4.1 launch, nerf of the rep tokens, etc.) and bad implementations (new GTN inhability to sell all the gears that use to sell on the GTN), etc.

I only transfered one character so far and noticed right away that I was robbed 500CC. I oppened a ticket in game on March 28 (same day as transfer completed) and I still haven't get an answer since then. I can't help to think it is on purpose, to let the 30 day "free transfer" expire.

Same as many people, I was sub on each of every day for 7-8 months now and still another 4-5 months to go. I simply lapsed a few hours in between bed time and wake up time, as my credit card had expired on rebill day.  But yet, subbed each and every day of the calendar.

Disappointed is way too nice. Disgusted, Frustrated, and ... I'm not gonna say more as I'm going to get flagged again.

Daily Areas is now relevant crit path Achievement (instead of crit path completion on the character), meaning they will now effectively unlock across your Legacy instead of character by character

It does not make the daily areas more appealing. The rep token CQP nerf still doesn't make me want to run these. Plus, since the day you made the tokens apply automatically instead of going in inventory, I only play one daily mission area a day so to not waste them. (that was before 7.4.1, since then,I just don't care about daily areas (those with a rep track, that is, I did run the Black Hole over Onderon last week even though I had access to Onderon).

And with repeatable heroic CQ points, I really have no reason to venture in daily areas. I'll be able to do any heroics I like in any order, while dailies would require doing even those I dislike to complete the weekly (on the same day) to finally get a decent amoutn of CQP).

    This you?

False equivocation. "whole market" is not stricly "taxes elsewhere".

Plus see my PM to help you with my sarcasm directed to the devs in that second statement you quoted. I'll also leave this thread.

either way it doesn't matter what the definition is. this specific issue will not hurt the entire GTN market. it's a niche issue and while it does indeed make fully unlocking a flagship harder, it's supposed to be slow.

Then you are wasting your time and my time. The topic, since the beginning, is one item. No one talked about the whole market before you came in.

Let's be very clear here- higher prices do not mean inflation. Inflation means excessive amounts of money going into the economy with no corresponding sink

Totally wrong. Inflation absolutely requires demands for service or good that are higher than supplies, people being ready to pay more to acess what is available for the goods and services, and suppliers being willing to increase their prices as much as the buyers are willing to pay.

Increasing the total quantity of money into the environement "can be" a cause for some entity to go on a spending spree causing general inflation (like what many of our governements did in the past few years, with spending programs to affect a large spectrum of goods and services), but it is "not absolutely required" for inflation to occur. For example, even without the spending spree of some of our governments during covid, a major factor for some of the inflation back then was the broken supply chain (too much demand for what the world could produce and deliver then), and the extra costs for sanity measures required by covid.

In the end, it is always demand being stronger than offer. Money supply is only a contributing factor.

Encryption plans may stay at same price or even go down in short-mid-long term, if players start not giving a F about acquiring them from the market.

Simply put, the intended functionality of a Rep track does not pair well with the functionality of Galactic Seasons. For us, we want a rep track to be something that a player can engage with over a long period of time, to work through, earn rewards and titles, etc. Since a GS is only available for a limited time we didn’t want to push into a FOMO feeling or anything like that. We want Rep tracks to be tied to things like Daily Areas.

Two weeks in, I think I like it (removing the reputation track). As you say, it does remove the FOMO feeling I had in doing GS activities long after completing 100th level during previous GS, in order to accumulate all the tokens I could, on all servers. Now, with 160sih points on each servers after two weeks, I feel like I might be able to finish this GS in 10 weeks and just not give a F about GS activities once I reach level 100 this time, because any more activities will earn nothing, so pointless to do (unless some good CQ points attached to them (like a WB kill present in both GS and CQ objectives, but I'll do it for CQ, not for GS).

Also for me, with the nerf to the ground of the CQ points for reputation tokens, I'm just not going to try to grind to get 500k on each of my guilds, on each servers, like I did in between GS5 and GS6. So long extra servers, you won't see me populate you once this GS is completed. More time for me to maybe refocus on one server and just do enough on The Forge for a conquest while casualy playing the stories I like (from Origin stories up to Nathema Conspiracy, not the crap since 6.0 and 7.0).

And with all that more time outside the game with summer coming.

I'm also currently playing my second account (prefered) to see how I could fare by only subscribing one month here and there in the future (to collect the subscribers' GS rewards), instead of the 6 months at a time I do since I started playing in 2018. So far, it feels like it would be another big stress relief, as it can (barely but still) do 40 points per week (even on Shae Vizla with one guildless toon at level 21), enough to complete GS. Then wait, maybe, until a real great story drops to sub longterm again.

So in summary, less grind because less playtime because less give-a-f because I'm not going to make up for the anihilation of rep tokens.

    Sincerely, really Eric, thank you.

With that being said it was way to many points looking back at it for just doing a 2-3 Minute mission and calling it a day on that toon.

I really wish people would quit using this ignorant argument because it shows you don't know what you're talking about. There was no reason to nerf it, period. In order to generate that token for the "2-3 minute mission" I still had to play actual content and do work to get the token on the toon.

    This.

Plus, who in their right mind ever asked their boss for a paycut?

  15. I don't think the CQ "Galactic Season : Progression"  item should be triggered when login in on the 4th day of the week, even though we get 8 junk plans.

Here, I login with a character on a server (first character login for that server) and I get the notification on top of screen and in chat that I got the Progression CQ, yet my CQ total points for that character remain at 0 (first login of the week for this toon).

On other  servers, I sometimes got 3800ish CQ points.

    Hello folks!

Just wanted to pop in real quick and give you some more info about these since we haven’t released all of the details.

    What are these exactly?

So these Armors and Weapons are new versions of existing ones that had randomized stats and that there was no other way to acquire their appearance in the game aside from existing world drops. These were no longer available to trade on the Galactic Trade Network due to the backend changes, but there are others that may not have been tradeable at all. There are a lot of them! Hundreds of weapons and over 2000 armor pieces. The sheer amount is why we didn’t post a detailed list.

    Ancient Armaments Login Reward Calendar

This reward calendar will operate very similar to our 3 existing reward calendars, complete with Achievements and various items available on the track. This has been added to the rotation of login calendars so it might not show up right away. The big change to this one is it will include a chance to get some of these new versions of previous appearances. There will be a Weapons Pack and an Armors Pack on the calendar, the weapon pack will give you a Fitted Weapon from the list of new Weapons. The Armor Pack will give you one complete set of one of these armor sets. The packs will be legacy bound but the contents will be Bind on Equip!

    World Drops

Many of these have been difficult to acquire due to requiring specific levels or planets or various other rules. These new ones can drop in any world drop. World drops will be single pieces of armor or a weapon. You can still get the normal randomized stat world drops, these drop in addition to them! However, because we’re adding all of these new items to the normal drop pool, they have no vendor value, so if you want credits for them you’ll need to do some trading. If you don’t want to bother with all of that, you can always destroy them (though they will not disassemble).

    Rarity

In both cases of the packs as well as the world drops higher quality items will be rarer. Premium is the most common, followed by Prototype, and then Artifact. Because they can drop at any level they should appear a bit more frequently than many of our other armor world drops.

    Collections

These items will not be in collections. They will however be Bind on Equip! This means they can be traded or sold on the GTN. A big part of why I wanted to get these into the game was to make up for the random stat appearance items no longer being tradeable on the GTN due to our backend changes.

I hope that answers many of your questions but if you have anything that I wasn’t able to answer with regards to these new items feel free to ask!

    May the Force Serve You

In short: "Because we did a poor job with the GTN backend, we have to create new gears that fit the GTN, because, you know, we have no clue how to retro-fit the previous gears to work on the GTN (or are too lazy to go through the list of old equipments, or have no clue how to make a script for bulk changes)."

You still could have made the new gear (bind on equip) sellable to NPC vendors. And the legacy bind deconstructable for the jawa junks and stuff.

The i270-320 drops were only 500ish credits (a big nerf already compared to the 250ish and 306 of previous versions (10k-25k credits), nothing that can increase inflation like your own mistakes that allowed exploits for credits in the past. But at least they (i270-320) could be deconstructed, so I assume most people deconstructed them instead of selling them. By getting the jawa junk, we could buy stuff at the jawa vendors, resell on the GTN, or use them to craft something to sell on the GTN. The more jawa junk people had, the lower price on the GTN of the items, because less rarity.

By removing deconstructable drops, YOU ARE CREATING RARITY AND INFLATION.

There is another thing that is not mentionned in the patch notes: the removal of character level gear drop from any NPC, and replaced by some stup*** i8 unsellable gear (worth 0 credit). Whatever the level of the characters (I actually only tried level 76 and 80 (for these 2 toons, I got no i270ish or i320ish gear drop). Plus these i8 gear can't be deconstructed, only deleted. At it again forcing a zero credit economy with a very bad idea. (I've got more than enough credits on most servers except Shae Vizla, so not a real issue, plus I don't buy much off the GTN in the past 2-3 years as I got all the CM armors, weapons and mounted I wanted, when the economy was ok for my taste (prior to 6.0).

Just tried on a fresh new toon, and they also get those worthless i8 gear instead of the usual level progressing drop.  Might not sound much for the 12 year old multi-billionaire players, but for new players, it can be a big deal for unlocking their inventory, perks, or even something as simple as an outfit.

I guess, the devs made their analysis, and found there is pretty much zero new players coming (and sticking) to the game, so that it was not a big deal for the company if whatever few new players suffer their economic austerity.
