  1. Is the an expansion, or a 'new' game? Are we a having a global reset on the game, such as WOW: Cataclysm? These and other questions are flying around my tiny noggin. Hopeful for this new shininess, but given the looming presence of EA, wary of all manner of outcomes... As the thread's suggestion of the 'Death of Endgame', wait and fecking see!
  2. I avidly support a memorial for Christopher Lee, my one fear it is made somewhat tacky by commercializing it. Other than that, have at it. Yes it breaks the forth wall, but that is not always a bad thing.
  3. I would hope that some appropriate memorial could be placed in game, possibly on the fleet of both factions. I realize it breaks the forth wall somewhat.
  4. A option for enlivening the leveling of alts could be offering the choice of new companions these could replace the standard companion in the story and provide an avenue to address the old gripe of a lack in romance options. A Dashade romance option would appeal to a select few individuals and others could pursue the fabled SGR relationships.
  5. It would afford an opportunity, to incorporate fresh/new companions offering alternate romance pathways such as SGR (although is only one of the "benefits" such an option could afford). Being as it would a proactive choice, it should offer some protection for those who can't handle the concept of SGR. Priority wise, I grant it is not a high one. But it would remove the criticism of the ghettoizing SGR options. Players should have the choice of romancing or not characters of their preference. Note ROMANCING, not active sexual content with the game being PG-13. The early game would benefit from a revision of the questing, such as another popular MMO has done.
  6. The thing is there were mutterings of an app around release. But other than the security key nothing has come off it.
  7. Throughout the game there are quests such as "The Melee", "Big Gun's", etc that are partially or fully broken. It suggests that the Dev team does not give a (expletive deleted) about the game, something I postulate isn't actually true. Further some of the lower level questing experience could stand, a little polish and reworking.
  8. Within reason, UI modification can provide alternative and innovative solutions, to issues you as dev's have little time to focus on. Such as the crafting system (seriously someone, for the love of (insert deity here) please refine it), look at how blizzard have co-opted mods into their core game. It gives the community something to play with and assist you yourselves.
  9. Could you consider a more central location for the next UK event? I know London is the one that predominantly pops to the front. But it's bloody expensive and awkward for the majority of UK resident's, a few suggestions Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds. All are prime locations and allot less hassle than nodnoL.
  10. With out merit to you and certain others, it may be. But to many others it's a component long promised and core to enhancing their enjoyment of the game. The kicker is you don't have to follow those particular plot lines, so it should have no impact on your game play. Unless you feel sullied by the inclusion of SGR content? But that speaks more to your proclivities than anything else.
  11. Dark Jedi, are not duty bound to anything and in most story arch's tend towards imperial tendencies rather than republic principles. Granted they may fall with the intent off empowering/improving the inherent perceived flaws in the Republic. Revan did not become sith when he attacked the republic, he was converted to sith principles by the Emperor when he discovered Drummond Kaas, with his aprentice/cohort/buddy.
  12. Note I do not advocate the horrors of GearScore or Decursive. Many other MMO's have had some amazing mods and mod devolpers, which opened the game in unforeseeable and exciting ways which dev's have often co-opted into the core game . I would think it a great way to provide those inclined players another avenue to enjoy the game, yes there is a potential for abuse but occurs already and can countered by an engaged (I do wish to suggest that Bioware are not btw) Dev team. Mods are never an essential component, but they can be the icing that challenge's the Dev's in ways they never contemplated. I argue this is invariably a good thing. Oh and any eta on SGRA?
  13. Look America is not getting stiffed, the largest proportion of the player base is based in the US so their 1st priority is you guys, heck look at the competitions, primarily exclusive to the US. How do you think this leaves the non-US player base feeling? I know why they do it competition laws across countries are nightmare to manage, but it still leaves a sour taste, I can tell you. I'm still trying to workout why Bioware don't stagger maintenance though, this would Bioware a heads up any major patch related issues and time to elevate them for the greater proportion of the player base (no matter who they stick as the 1st to be patched). Heck it would also reduce the stress on staff as there's less to juggle all at once, less juggling fewer instance's of Murphyonic chaos.
  14. Hiya looking to replace my aging rig with something new and fresh, need a few recommendations for reputable outfits to build said beast. Was burnt last time so any ideas?
  15. A Staggered maintenance would also provide better options for managing patch bugs. Dare I mention that a certain other MMO does this and it's run relatively smoothly for 5+ years less the forthcoming Pokemon apocalypse.
