  1. Exactly. I don't want to re-level my character. But I would enjoy changing some of the decisions I made. I mean **SPOILER** I really regret killing watcher X and would love the chance to go back and redo that. Being able to blow back through the story with a high level and better gear would be awesome.
  2. I dont know how technologically complex it would be, but it would be really awesome to be able to reset a character's class story and play through it again. Retaining the same level. I have made a number of choices in my character's story I would love to be able to go back and redo.
  3. Hey, thanks everyone for the advice. I hit 56 now. The Jedi isn't my only character, but he is my highest level by far. When the game came out I rolled a Jedi Sentiel, got him up to alederaan and then decided that was a mistake. So, my gear is "fine". I've got all oranges and was keeping Kira in all oranges with up to date mods. Implants are trickier to come by, but I do have them. Also, as soon as I was able I went and got (green) relics from the lightside vendor. I do feel like, by coreilla, even though I was using up to date comm gear, I was very poorly geared. I feel like Corellia is meant to be tackled by flashpoint purples or something. In the future I'm going to outlevel it with my other alts on makeb and then come back and finish that questline later. I do feel like, specced vigilance, I kill things a LOT slower than my alts. My Counselor, Gunslinger and Commando all have significant AOE attacks. Force sweep takes out...-30%? Of a Mob's health, but the gunslinger and commando AOEs are channeled and usually take out the group of mods I'm using them on. The dismiss/resummon is an interesting trick. and Doc has helped a lot, although the Guardian definitely feels more grindy because of how slowly he kills things. I dunno, those are just my thoughts. >I'm geared with the amazing commendation mods you get at 55. The GSI boost on Makeb was interesting, at the start of makeb I was slicing through mobs like butter. It became slower at the end again. Maybe I need to try focus?
  4. So...I haven't started a relationship with Risha yet...but I have flirted with her a bunch. Still, apparently the ladies like the smuggler. If I flirt with them, is it going to wreck my chance of romancing Risha?
  5. I feel like Doc commented on a few. Maybe I'm just misremembering, but I specifically wondered how Kira would have responded. Maybe it was just the companion affection gained. Expectations are a thing: Having class specific quests for EIGHT different classes is crazy, and would be extremely resource intense to develop. When Bioware designed TOR they thought it was going to be the next WoW. (Because, and I love you bioware, but...it IS wow, a refined wow, but still, wow, to a degree I find distasteful.) So they had millions and millions to sink into it's development. Now I imagine the team is a lot smaller, and doing the best with the resources they have. At the end of the class story, I really wanted to know what happened to my character and his crew next. (And while I haven't gotten my Imperial agent to the end, I've seen the end of HIS class story and it REALLY gives that feeling strongly: What adventure are they going to go off to next?) That was the question I wanted the next expansion to offer. I actually thought that was going to be SOR since the reviewers seemed to herald it as a return to form, but the truth is Rise of the Hut Cartel was a fine "next adventure" for my crew. Edit: Let me elaborate: Class stories are ultimately just different stories. The main Makeb story is actually pretty good I felt. It may feel repeditive when I get my next character to Makeb, but as noted, the planet stories are pretty repetitive too.
  6. So when I got to Corellia things really ground to a halt. Dealign with trash mobs took forever, and silvers took longer to kill then previous golds. When I got to makeb and got the GSI boost, I realized I was horribly under geared. If I'd had better gear corellia wouldn't have been nearly as bad a slog. (I think.) Although I've noticed that dealing with trash mobs has gotten harder (but not that hard) again at the end of Makeb so maybe the difficulty in killing things was intentional. The thing is, I'm wearing all oranges with all up to date mobs...on Corellia I was wearing 50s gear for most of it, since I'd hit 50 after the first quest. I'm currently finishing up Makeb, and think that with my upcoming alts I'll finish my class quests on Voss, head straight for Makeb, Hit 55 out there, pick up 55 gear, and then come back and try corellia before moving onto SOR since I hear there's a quest in SOR you only get for finishing your class story. Thoughts? Feedback? Advice?
  7. Heh, well it will be a while. I've been pushing my main through in a desperate push to see the end of the game I've been playing all these years. My highest imperial alt is only about 30. Now that I KNOW corellia is punishing because of how undergeared you are (even with level 50 gear) I'm going to go > Voss > Straight to makeb, > finish Makeb > turn around, finish act 3/Corellia > On to shadow of Revan
  8. So I finally got a character to Makeb. When rise of the hut cartel first came out, all the reviews treated it basically the same as galactic starfighter and strongholds: Oh, it's not really story driven, what's there is meh, ect. But...Makeb was amazing. It was beautiful, it was like naboo without the annoying gungans. (Please never force us to go there bioware.) The art especially around the drilling area, with the gigantic spherical drilling units was...amazing. I was blown away, I thought you guys really did an incredible job, and I can't wait to see what shadow of Revan has in store. The story: was great! I don't get why reviewers downplayed the story. It felt like the continuing adventures of my characters and crew, even if it's the same story for all classes. It was fine! I don't understand the complaint. Leveling through Makeb with the benefit of the XP bonuses and the GSI satellites was great as well... When I first got to Makeb and activated the satelite I was carving through guys. "Ah....this is what being decently geared is supposed to feel like" I thought. If anything, that's my one complaint: I came into this wearing all oranges all filled with correct level mods, but was surprised by how dramatic a difference the GSI satellites made. Yet...the quest greens from Makeb were generally poorer than what I was already wearing. Ugh. I hope I can get better gear for SOR, but I'm really looking forwards to see what it has in store, and I can't wait for the Yavin 4 stronghold. TL;DR still loving the 12XP boost, Makeb was gorgeous, Rise of the Hutt Cartel was better than I was lead to believe, and a worthy addition. Only strangeness is going back to the planet post apocolpse for dailies (which in fairness I haven't done yet, so maybe they address the planet's upheavel)
  9. Alderaan is beautiful, and an interesting environment. Nar Shaddaa doesn't have anyting that sets it apart from coruscant. It feels like coruscant part II. And worst, Coruscant COULD have some really amazing areas. Corellia in some ways felt like what I wanted Coruscant to be. But Bioware loves to go to the dark grimy underparts of big city worlds (*cough* Taris in the original KOTOR) so sure enough, you go to dirty, gross, run down areas of Coruscant. Almost the entire time you're running through grimy machine corridors, or generic areas. I would have killed for a handful of missions up on the beautiful evening sunlight. (the closest you get is the jedi temple and spaceport missions.) So Narshaddaa was like that...only dirty and gross and covered in garbage. But a lot of coruscant was like that too, so for pure varieties sake, if one had been dirty and industrial, but the other had been more elegant...at least there would have been some variation there. I have nothing against a city planet. The art for the top level of coruscant, the senate building, the spaceport, the plaza....it's amazing. I love coming back there. I love my Coruscant apartment because of it. There are so many planets with incredible art and set pieces. Belsavis is pretty cool. Voss is gorgeous. Alderaan is great. They all feel different and distinct. Hoth, Tatooine... They all play to the game's strenghts. And I gotta say, Makeb is GORGEOUS. It's like Naboo without gungans. But Narshaddaa? Ugh. Maybe it's different if your primaries are imps, but as republic, it's just too much of the same.
  10. Hey, are there any datacrons or anything in the doomsday quest that if I miss I'll never be able to get?
  11. Okay, so I'm far more a story driven game player than an MMO player. I've had a TOR subscription off and on since the game came out. And I gotta tell you, the 12X XP boost is the most fantastic thing ever. I have alts that aren't just level 12. I can blow past the boring planets, (*cough* nar shadda) and do the awesome planets (like Tatooine, and Alderaan) at my own pace. Can...can this be a permanent thing?
  12. So I'm leveling a Jedi Guardian. And getting my *** kicked. I'm level 32, just finished the tatooine bonus series, and during that series/during Alderaan I am having to stop and heal after nearly every fight. The lack of area effect attacks really makes playing this class difficult. I'm playing with a vigilance spec, (if we even technically have specs in the new system) I'm wearing an entire set of moddable armor with mods from the current planet installed. I...am not really sure what's going wrong here. Is having to take a breather after every fight or two on Alderaan par for the course? I had this same problem with a Jedi Sentinel (I stopped at Alderaan and started leveling a guardian figuring that would be much easier. Whoops! Nasty surprise!) the next highest level class I have is a gunslinger who's carving his way through nar shadda with ease so... Thoughts? Should I be leveling focus? Advice? I am using Kira as my companion, keeping her stats focused on willpower, I am focusing on endurance first for myself and then strength second. Should I be putting more focus on strength so I kill things faster?
  13. Some of us have jobs and lives and haven't even broken 30 yet, let alone gotten all the way up to 50. If you're griping about how broken the end game is...dude. The game hasn't even been out a MONTH yet. Give them some time to iron this stuff out.
  14. /Bug: The Darkside IS stronger. Luke: But...is the dark side stronger master Yoda? Yoda: No. Quicker. Easier. More seductive. Also...they have better gear.
