  1. I think that's a good sign, but not a good thing. If pvp becomes rude it may means some more people are comin on the game, if this game become any popular you'll see more and more people comin from MOBA. Considering this is the most popular kind of pvp currently, and MOBA communities are just horrendous, rude people will grow with the popularity of this game.
  2. All is in the title : since I'm going to preferred status in a few days, thus I'm asking myself if they are ways, with craft for example, to wear artifacts, like crafted modifications made with cybertech, without having bought the autorisation of wearing artifacts ???
  3. Don't get me wrong : huttball can be freaking fun when teams are even and as I've read it somewhere it could have great esport potential with a finer classes balance. But playing the same warzone other and all another again is QUITE boring and I think the majority rejoin me in this. Thus I hope the lastest patch did not broke the randominess of warzones...
  4. I've thought about some precision to add for open pvp objectives missions : - specifically the bounty hunting mission : can be done up to 3 times a day. Any fail consumes any more hunt (meaning you fail the first hunt, you can not hunt anymore since the day after) due to a trust failure with the Bounty hunters society. Thing is the following reward is bigger than the former one, so people able to reach stage 3 will get good rewards. Once you attack someone in open pvp zones (as for duals in pve servers) instead of killing him with a final blow, your opponent becomes exhausted (as if you were winning upon an ia to which you can talk thereafter). - Then you can decide to finish him/her off (with a fatality which should be freaking awesome) which will be the more common way or you can carbonite him/her to start the Bounty hunting open pvp mission. Therefore you'd have to bring the criminal as fast as possible to your nearest outpost to earn a substantial bounty. Nevertheless hunter's movement speed suffers from escorting the slow carbonite device : (s)he's unable to use mount or any speed boost but sprint or the criminal goes free (hunted player can now revive in the nearest outpost) and the mission is failed. - If the hunter is killed on his way to the outpost : the mission is failed as well. - Obviously mission is severly timed to avoid abused, if the times runs out : the mission is failed. - The criminal can give his location on general chat (thanks to a tracking device) every 30 sec to ask for reinforcements. - People willing to participate can't exceed the leveling cap of the planet.
  5. Damned is this the only one warzone left or what ?! I can't play any other one : it's like 80% of warzones poping are huttball. This is sick ! Stop with your stupid huttball frenzy ! /end rant
  6. Sorry not to share your excitement but this is far from what I was waiting for when I am figuring open space combats out. It's just another minigame added to break the solo rpg boredom which is actually SWTOR. This would certainly not replace the lack of end game, specifically not the lack of open pvp end game. It would certainly be totally disconnected from the rpg part since I bet you won't be able to level fighters up like you can do with your own space ship. This is no big deal, this would certainly be just a space tps shoot them up in space, nothing related to SWTOR but star wars skins, to the point it could totally be released as a random xbla f2p stand alone.
  7. This space project is not that hyped because this community has learnt the hard way to become reasonable I guess, being so frequently disappointed. Games devs are dream sellers, but BW does not work closely with morphee if you read me. Considering the huge resources (human, financial) invested in SWTOR since beginning, as the trend of the devs to use every single awesome world in the dictionary to describe their game, whereas it lacks ambition and innovation so much it's barely legal, anyone would take this so called new awesome space project with at least a handful of salt.
  8. F2P, only 15 days subscription left and not planning to sub again, nor spend money on it. 20€ is enough for this game considering I'm displeased with a lot of features, and more specifically the lack of features. Probably, though the population will definitely go lower and lower for sure. PvP servers will die first from boredom since nothing is done for open PvP, which is the true difference between a PvE and a PvP server. PvE servers could resist way much longer considering the current new content/patch trend. I'd say yes. Will probably playing from times to times, until wh40k is released, after that I doubt I'll stay since PvPers are utterly neglected in SWTOR. I'm just amazed since I know servers were all open pvp during the beta... The beta testers of this game are the stupidiest ever seen to have cried to make it become a PvE game, without even trying to find solutions. But hey : what is done is done. Significant enhancement of the engine allowing : - Open space competitive combats - Open pvp rework : rewarding (xp, credits, medals, stuff, titles) daily missions, objective missions, monthly events - Leaderboard for PvP : ranked huttball/8v8/arena tournament seasons with cash prizes - More playable species (Devaronian, Kaleesh, Nikto, Gran, Rodian, Mon Calamari, Nautolan, Togruta, Trandoshan, Voss) - More planets : Kashyyyk, Dagobah, Naboo, Utapau
  9. It's called "Relnex's", customizable set has 5 parts making you looking just like a jedi of the movies. (very) Highly frequently available at the market, looted from "supreme mogul contraband pack". My knight is equipped with it. http://dulfy.net/2013/07/09/swtor-supreme-moguls-contraband-pack-contents/ /end thread.
  10. Thus the ranks of our own ships will be useless for this, just another warzone type game mode, probably restricted to 8v8 if not 4v4. Only 3v3 appears on the teaser... no full scale space battles as the voice dares to comment. Still the engine issue I suppose. What a shame...
  11. People would flag on PvE servers for the same reason people would gladly participate in PvP servers : rewards. Make open pvp rewarding : - xp - crédits - medals giving access to cosmetics (armour sets, speeders, fun devices, emotes, etc...) And I'm sure people would definitely be way more interested in open pvp, whatever is the kind of server they are playing in
  12. It does not only concern pvp servers, pve servers could benefit of such missions as well : - objectives missions : just make people accepting to group for the event to be automatically pvp flagged, which could lead to attacks from grey killers thus triggering the "Bantha Poodoo" bounty hunting mission. Players who attacked the players participating at the event would be automatically pvp flagged as well, if they are passing by they would get a pvp mission raid proposition which would lead them to be pvp flagged if accepted. - daily missions would easily be done in pve servers while participating at objectives missions since you'd just need to kill a certain amount of enemy players. Thing is it would not annoy questing players on pve servers since they would not risk anything until they aren't near the objectives missions, which could trigger all the missions ideas I've stated, not to mention they'd have to accept to participate at the event to be pvp flagged, thus be exposed to be killed. Abuses would be easily dealt : players healing pvp flagged mates would be insta pvp flagged, partners attacking would lead to pvp flag players controlling them, etc... Thus it could be as easily implemented in pvp as in pve servers the same. Only difference would just be that participating in those missions would only pvp flagged players actually willing to participate in pve servers, letting others peacefully questing nearby if they wish for it. I dislike the idea of a mission remoted up to the fleet, since if players want HL back up they can easily ask through mumbles or guild chats. Moreover, it leads to the high risk to see always the same players participating to those open pvp missions, which is already the case with players/guilds organized events, better than allow to anyone around the mission's spot to participate to have at least a taste of open pvp. Furthermore the level caps would certainly be more respected if infos stay on the planet better than the system remote it up to the fleet. My point is to make people around, in rather the same level range, to participate in open pvp automatically generated open pvp missions, to encourage a reactive collaboration between players who certainly don't know each others, helping building up a faction belonging feeling. Something like : "my fellow companion is under attack, I go help him (republican)... or let's show this weak arse how to deal with republicans (empire)". Players would get open pvp experience funnily throughout their leveling, and I think this could certainly help for HL open pvp zones like Ilum... if ever BW decide to put it back...
  13. Of course those ideas do need tweaking, was just throwing some ideas to start a thinking on how to build up some interesting and fun open pvp, throughout the leveling since the lowest possible levels to the highest. The blatant goal would be to bring more people into the open pvp zones, as to make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone, without constantly having to organized duel events between a few pvp guilds. Titles names are just a first shot to make it more understandable, they could be better for sure. I think the grey killer becoming the hunted is a fun and good concept, once again level caps and times should be tweaked. But some objectives missions could easily be added with cheap ways, without changing map design and with little effort, like BW did with the Bounty hunter event. Glad you like it, will probably had some more ideas in the futur as I encourage you to post here what you would like to see for better and fun open pvp.
  14. This is why I precised people overcapping the level max for leveling on a planet shouldn't be rewarded nor grouped for open pvp objectives missions and daily killing mission. The 55 grey killers are also the main issue dealt funnily with my proposition of the "bantha poodoo" hunting mission (which means bantha fodder, which is disgusting and stink to death, and is a common Hutt insult ^^). This mission is just reversing role : the hunter become the hunted since all the players on the map will know where is the grey killer and can track him to crush him in a funny Bounty hunting mission.
