They need to just add a line to the mission description that says you will not be rewarded points for completing your personal conquest in GSF. I don't know how many people, myself included, have run into this exact problem, and if they can't fix it, they can at least warn players. Some simple text in the description could help save a lot of players a lot of aggravation.

Yeah, i've finally just thrown in the towel and given up. Between the frustration caused from the gameplay changes, and the increasingly toxic playerbase, in game, I think i'm just gonna take a break from swtor. I clearly came back at a bad time at the end of 6.x and got a false impression of the game. I appreciate your help everyone, and may the force be with you.

If it is a known bug that reaching the personal conquest goal while in GSF doesn't award progress for this mission, why not add that to the mission description text? It should be easy enough to do, and doesn't require any programming or anything. Just a simple "WARNING: Due to a bug, reaching the personal conquest goal in Galactic Star Fighter will not award progress." It shouldn't be assumed that every player will read the massive list of bugs before starting any random activity, and simple things like this will at least save players frustration. Edit: Being honest and upfront about issues with the game will garner more respect than pretending everything is fine and allowing the players to stumble into issues you could have forewarned them of.

I wish I had known about the bug before I had done GSF for the seasons goal, and inadvertantly screwed myself out of those points. It would be really helpful if they added a line of text to the mission description stating it was a known bug rather than just assuming every player will read the list of bugs before doing any random in game activity.

Yeah, the second CS response just directed me towards the list of known bugs. If it's a known bug why can't they just update the mission text to indicate hitting the CQ goal in GSF won't award credit? At least until they can get it properly fixed. Surely adding one sentence of text isn't a difficult thing, and would have saved myself and others a lot of hassle. Most players aren't going to scour a bug list before doing every random task in game.

Sadly I don't have my implants yet as i've been plagued by bugs and not being rewarded points towards completion of the mission to gain access to them. The current customer service advice of 'just finish it' is less than helpful.

So I started doing the Technological Advancements mission (for the new implants) last week. It was after I hit my personal CQ coal for the week, so I accepted I didn't get the 34 points towards the mission. This week I logged in and did some GSF for the season goal. I hit my personal CQ goal but was awarded no points towards the mission. When I opened a ticket to report the bug and ask for assistance, I was told that I should finish the mission and check again afterwards to see if I was awarded the points towards finishing the mission. How is that even advice? It makes no sense. The entire problem is that my actions aren't counting towards finishing it, how is 'just finish it' a solution? I have to assume reading comprehension isn't high on the requirements to be customer support and the CS rep assumed I meant finishing the mission wasn't giving me conquest points, but that is clearly not what I was talking about, and the fact that the employee can't understand that is baffling.

I've managed to make it to the end, but I cannot for the life of me do anything to the two bosses at the end. My companion just dies right away, and then I die shortly afterwards. I think the best I did was get 1 to half health. Am I supposed to be all geared out before attempting this, or not on a sentinel? I've tried looking for guides online, but can't seem to find anything to help.

Everyone else may not want to say it, but I actively despise GSF. Its a PvP system designed to punish new players as harshly as possible for the vets to feel good about blowing up. Because of that design, new players have no good reason to start playing, which removes those feel good easy kills for the vets. Now BW is forcing new/inexperienced players into the mode by making it the most viable path to gear up for people that want to play every other part of the game. I guess its good for the veteran GSF players that want to feel good with their easy kills, but I don't exactly like being manipulated into being someone else's punching bag.

I had to go find a guide to figure out how I was even supposed to gear up. In what MMO is such a basic part of the player experience made so inaccessible? It's not like I'm trying to get some super special unique gear. I just want basic upgrades for my character after the release of a new expansion. And I still don't want to talk with the scummy behavior with regards to CM weapons.
