  1. This is a concept that players who don't play ops don't seem to grasp... I wish Bioware would enforce it in flashpoints like they do for ops, but really if you're dead, you don't respawn and run back, probably *********** up everything in the process. You're dead. You failed. Game over. Wait for a rez or for the battle to end.

There are a few trash pulls close enough to respawn points that if you rez and run back you can prevent a wipe, but it's certainly never a good idea for boss fights.

  2. Not bad, just weird:

Yesterday, and the day before, I did a random FP on my Jugg tank for the daily. Both times, Cad popped. Both times, it was already in progress. Both times, it was in the middle of a boss fight (Xander the first time, Wookie guy the second) so I got the XP without even being in the same area. Both times, when I asked what had happened to the previous tank, I was told, "he just up and left. No DC, no explanation, just there one minute and gone the next."

I like to pretend it's the same guy and he is making my leveling slightly more efficient. Keep up the good work, Disappearing Tank!

A twist on this story: this time, it was Mando Raiders, and this time, the remaining 3 wiped on the boss and so I got to/had to do the boss fight with them. Still, my old friend seems to still be at it.

  3. Tulak Hord's mask was taken by Revan hundreds of years ago in no way should it still be on Korriban.

With every small group of acolytes having to find an old Sith Lord artifact, I am sure there are none left.

    Again, inefficient.

  5. That's a planetary sidequest, so BH can do it too.

    Also the best part -

You: You said you wouldn't kill him!

Guy: He won't be dead. He'll just be blind and have a bad case of indigestion.

  6. Just make a slightly different version of this event to be recurring - like the Gree and Rakghouls - and I will be happy. I don't mind missing out on a lot of the stuff I missed because I joined the game late, but I would like to see the Chevin some day.
  7. An odd thing happened in SM Cademimu last night.

Now, the run itself was mostly okay. The PT seemed not to realize he had an out-of-combat resource regen, the Op kept either fighting from range or pulling, and no one had scavenging OR slicing, which was a first for me. And we wiped on the first boss and again on the first pull after the first boss. But we beat Ortol the first time through despite losing me (the tank) and the DPS Op to the flames. As PUGs go, it was pretty good.

Except for the big elevator to the missile control center. The first time we went down it, 2 of us got off, but 2 stayed on it until it started taking them back up again. They realized their mistake in not getting off . . . or one of them did. The other stayed on AGAIN, and went up AGAIN, and ended up taking 3 trips down the thing. Funny, not annoying.

  8. Well, she's 7 months old, so the ol' motor skills aren't there yet.

But I will do crafting and SH stuff while holding her. I can't do any actual fighting unless I put her on the floor*, although when she was smaller and less wiggly I would put her in the baby bjorn and run Czerka weeklies.

If the game is still around when she can play it, I will still probably prohibit her from rolling a mara until she can prove her responsibility with a non-lightsaber-wielding class.

*NB she enjoys herself down there, so it's not like I'm abandoning her. That's where all her toys are.

  9. My vote continues to be, "keep the unique, no-longer-obtainable achievements in the game, but move them to their own category." Yeah, not being a sub from beta should preclude me from 100% completion in general, but not from 100% completion on Tatooine.

I feel the same way about the planetary PvP achievements, BTW. Keep them, but move them to a new category.
