  1. I'm not sure if anyone reported this one already. I'm blocked from progressing further on my main character in "The Lost Colony" story mission. I cleared the place out, and looted the item, but the mission is stuck at "talk to Tau on the holo in the cave" where I am. I exited, and reset the phase. Then I logged out, and went back inside to see if that would help, but it didn't. Please fix this bug. So the NPC holo conversation is available to progress further, because I'm dying to see what happens in the rest of the story.
  2. I work. So I can't answer posts here right away, but I will answer this since I'm home today, and because my original post was twisted up within. You also seem to answer a lot of people's posts in this forum in a half cocked way. Either you don't read them in full and /or correctly, or you have trouble answering, or you just want to play trollollollolloll which I hope isn't the case. Whatever the case is, I'll get on with my point now. You neatly picked out a piece of my post to rant on a little, but in doing so you didn't make complete sense. As mentioned within my post we are already, but barely, taking down the hardest bosses there are. So we, obviously, do know our specs. My concern was and is for all players not just my raid teams. It was a concern for how the tank dps decreases will impact high and low level content, which is why my post was and is meant to be taken as a whole. I, merely, put a sample of situations out there where Tank dps is important whether in solo or in endgame play. However, you stated that Tank dps is a bonus in ops. In story mode yes, yet there are other modes. It actually is not just a bonus on certain HM or MM bosses. All tanks in MM should do as much damage according to their spec as possible, especially when said tanks are not hindered by other priority mechanics. Tank Dps is and has been calculated into group dps in mm ops and mm fps. So a reworking of their dps does require some adjustments for group output. Also, tanks need dps for solo play, especially since all players pick their specs at low levels now. A brand new player tanking with no companion yet and at low levels should still have some decent dps. All of the points are still in my original post on page 24 or 25 and I stand by them. These nerfs are too high for PvE and more importantly will not stop skank tanking in PvP. Setting caps to dps stats for tank specs in PvP only and /or setting a minimum amount of tankier stats for PvP or a new gear set for tanks in PvP (however unlikely) would come closer to reaching that goal without weakening tanks in PvE. These are just my opinions based on the changes proposed nothing more and nothing less. Also, I'm posting them within the appropriate topic as I should, because I'm concerned about the impact said changes will have on the game.
  3. Good evening all. What alarms me most here is not just that tank dps ends up too low for PvE leveling and endgame (especially ops and flashpoints) if they implement these changes, but also and unfortunately, the team hasn't even responded after seeing the flip side of how badly their changes effect the game. By not answering, I'm seeing a lack of flexibility and transparency to work it out for the better of the players and the game as a whole. Otherwise, they would've made a statement after legitimate complaints and concerns arose. Yet they did not. So please, tell us what will be done to ensure tank dps concerns for solo and especially group play (vet and mm ops)will be met for all tank classes and met equally, including their group dps targets? Threat sadly won't kill enemies. How will tanks be able to kill things with significantly reduced dps on tython/ord mantel and no companion yet and even with a level 1 companion on later planets? It will take too long to kill enemies and they will suffer more deaths. That is not fun. PvE and PvP Queues and LFG already lack tanks very often. Why unnecessarily risk making it worse? How will those already tight Vet and MM bosses work with the reduced dps from tanks and no (mentioned)boost to dps? We know the fights are usually only 1 or 2 that have a harder dps check in the ops, yet never the less, "really good" dps are already pulling max dps and barely getting certain bosses down with help from heals and tanks already. So what is the point of pushing this change in this way? Balance is completely lacking within this idea because skank tanks will still exist just slightly different . Maybe, just maybe, the team could implement a minimun shield, defense, and absorb stat base and/or cap of power, mastery, alacrity, critical stat base for PvP tanks instead while making tank stats a bit more useful. Just a concerned player
  4. I lost 1 out of 58 names across 2 servers. So all in all I can't complain.
  5. The title of this thread is misleading and it should be closed or deleted. It in no way touches upon lack of rewards for subbed players. It is only a complaint to receive compensation for down time. These things happen sometimes because server maintenance is RL work and it required real time to be corrected. I won't even get into the rest of it because this thread shouldn't even be here.
  6. Quite a few people are asking if server transfers will be up soon. Yet we have no date or even an estimation as to when server transfers will be up. Bioware devs can we please get an answer or even an estimation on this topic?
  7. Do they hate women? I doubt it. I do not believe. They intentionally wanted to make those love interests make us want to cringe. However, I can believe they lacked enough female input while putting the romance storylines together though. Many of the romance options and storylines are poorly chosen. Would we like more and better choices in the future? definitely.
  8. I have a lot of characters and it still feels okish at best, I'd rather see more new content to be honest.
  9. considering the last paid expansion (not free dlc with only 1 boss every once in a while when they feel like it) was years ago. I think we have been more than patient.
  10. I hate to just blirt out the obvious here, but we already knew the server mergers were inevitable because there is so little new and engaging group content being released to keep the players online. Many players have been leaving for years and only a few new players came into the game. It is pretty obvious when 13 people are on the fleet during prime hours on our server and only 37 on a more populated one. So, announcing once again there will be very little new content and only a merger is no consolation to most of player base at all. It is a temporary band aid solution at best. Seriously, you can't do Operations or PvP or flashpoints with QoL legacy bank changes or those ridiculous wink, wink "balance" changes. QoL is nice but it isn't the meat and potatoes of this or any other mmo. End game group content is that full meal for mmo players. It is the reason to want to play at all. The QoL is just stuff that should be done on the side. The hints for 2018, which didn't mention any expansion or address the reintroduction of preferred and f2P back into our fold, is really sad. It is a missed opportunity at a SWTOR comeback into the MMO world. As unfortunate as it is, not releasing a full new expansion = little reason for many gamers to play SWTOR anymore, especially since other mmos are releasing large dlcs on a quarterly basis and major expansions every 6 months without tossing out their non subs. Server merger or not, the numbers will keep going down unless we get an exciting new expansion packed with end game content and get the preferred/F2P back into our queues. This is just an opinion of a subscriber who's played this game for years, nothing more nothing less. Have a nice day/evening all.
  11. I, for one, would like to see a full expansion soon. (2-3 new planets 2-3 full ops at minimum, 4-5 flashpoints, 3-4 new PvP arenas and finallly the game changer 1-2 full new classes with full storylines and missions. Then add a nice pound of dramatic story to bring it all together. Wrap it all up in a nice bow, and give the players what they are waiting for. SWTOR needs something BIG, really BIG to turn this game around into the right direction, and this would be the most likely solution. At this point they have nothing to lose and everything to gain by moving with enthusiasm towards a full expansion. Without that, I'm finding it harder and harder to justify the "hundreds of thousands" of cartel coins and subscription i pay for each year in this game. Especially, if I don't feel everyone is getting the most bang for their buck, and while I'm at it today. For goodness sake, let the preferred guys back in. Maybe give them access to the command system with a 15-20% percent reduction of CXP and the return of ops/flashpoints passes, but don't keep them out in the cold and out of our queue like this. Some of these players were long term subs in the past. Instead of punishing them for canceling sub, give them a reason or rather an incentive (by means of a massive expansion combined with better testing and maintenance) to reconsider their stance. There is one last thing I'd like to mention or rather ask of the devs. Can we please have less RNG in our command crates this time, especially at top tier, we shouldn't see so much if any blue set pieces at all, especially the suboptimal relics over and over that almost no one is interested in using or else make them equally competitive. So they can actually be used. It can be a total letdown, grinding at max level and getting 6-8 boxes in a row with blue gear items and not getting to play your other chars because the first isn't geared up yet. This is just my humble opinion, nothing more, nothing less. Have a nice one all.
  12. My humble opinion is this. We were inconvenienced by not having the service available that we pay to have available. The least that could have done, for the players who bothered to log into the forum during this long downtime, (not to mention during an event)is to have made the code available to all during the downtime only. Then cancel the code when the servers go up. Simply due to the fact that many people are upset about the downtime not just 3. This is insult to injury. throw out all the codes you want but make at least one of them for all of us.
  13. the people who didn't patch still had their game in tact and they should have been refused access to the servers for not being up to date, but they were still able to log on. way too many things went wrong all at once.
  14. I owe a big thanks to Keith if he really is the person who got the cxp values high enough to actually feel progress while leveling alts. Those raised CXP values in the missions are what encouraged me to pick up the game again and start leveling my main and various alts through the command system. Thank you for making the game feel more rewarding.
  15. I have played this game since the beginning. I tried every single class and spec as the game expanded and changed. Not once did I unsub until now, even when I wasn't playing much do to RL things. I stayed because I thought they were at least putting some effort into balancing the game from time to time, and they kept promising new solo and group oriented endgame content from time to time. So I supported the game thinking we would be getting more and more content as time went on, not just tidbits. The game changed so much from the beginning until now. Some changes were good, some changes were just meh nothing special, and some changes were just huge mistakes that took away from the fun game play we all enjoyed and should've been reversed and/or changed to meet some middle ground before they went live. The devs sure made it sound like they were finally going to get a grip on balancing, and the classes would finally mirror the intended targets, but we're still seeing overpowered and underwhelming classes. The point of balancing classes is not just to ridiculously reduce the flavor of the month dps by totally gutting multiple abilities at once like with the commando and sage until it is almost useless in PvE, but rather to bring into the target dps range of it's class type. while keeping the class's unique abilities, passives and utilities in mind. Each class and spec should have enough dps, defense and utility within it to be an asset in any given boss fight or in any PvP match if they play their class well. We shouldn't see skilled PvP/PvE players here complaining that both PvP / PvE is unbalanced. It should've been fixed in a PTS envronment ages ago. Most players don't enjoy killing an experienced player in PvP who is playing an underpowered class, because they always have the truth nagging in the back of their minds that the other person's class being weaker is contributing to their own win. Most players want to see balanced classes just so each kill can count as an optimal usage of good sense, dps, and dcd's. After all these years, overnerfing and overbuffing should no longer be happening, and bugs shouldn't be running for weeks and months on live servers leaving certain classes overpowered and others underperforming. Every few weeks some other class is getting the massive reduction while others remain overpowered and for what? if the classes aren't coming closer together in dps according to their class type there is no point to the nerfs, or is this all just a systematic reduction by the devs until finally all or almost all classes are underperforming, thus creating a gateway to introduce a new tier of gear in the failure of this RnG Command System instead of putting out more content for us??? 1 boss here and there, 1 flashpoint here and there and 1 or 2 new pvp arenas that were copy pasted from other content isn't very much for new content. There is a reason why other games are taking over the market. They put out way more content on a regular basis and they balance PvP and PvE seperately from each other which should've been implemented here long ago. Some people say It takes a big man to admit a mistake and an even bigger one to fix it, but I also think it actually takes someone who cares enough about it in the first place to get others motivated to help him fix it. Plenty of players are reaching out in the forums to devs. So the question here is do they care enough to do what's necessary to get the game onto the right track?
