  1. Nothing you listed was innovation, it's all been done before. Even some BY said "dead" MMOs that tried TO bring that particular innovation into the fold. When people say they want innovation, they're basically saying "make everything seem new but keep everything familiar". If it's too new, it "flops" (has a niche market that keeps some subscribers coming), if it's too familiar, you get posts like yours who believe they know what's best for the genre to move forward. What you're asking for is impossible to achieve. WoW did not innovate. They polished. They also had plenty of issues starting out as well. Some that still plague them to this day. People have become spoiled when they expect a brand new game to be as up to date and polished as a game that has had 7 years of trial and error.
  2. Hate to say I told you so but.... 1.1 cometh.
  3. I have a cybertech already, thank you. Between mods (needed), droid parts (needed), speeder building (convenience), ship parts (nice to have), grenades (handy in both PvE and PvP). One skill does so much, it's amazing. Biochem users have already admitted how handy it is to have a self-use never ending buff themselves. The point is while certain crew skills have some niche (mainly mods), only cybertech and biochem have something at 400 so desirable that would affect serious competitors at endgame. Please refrain from insulting if you have nothing nice to say, thank you.
  4. The permanent use epic items gained at 400 give these two classes too much of an advantage over players who do not have the items in both PvE and PvP. They need to be consumed on use or lowered in effectiveness in order to bring it along with other crew skills. Fair is fair after all.
  5. The permanent stims they can make surpass what others can use, giving them an unfair advantage in both PvE and PvP. They should be brought down in line with other crew skills so not to be too advantageous.
  6. Crafting will eventually be useless aside from a few niche items, ala WoW. Count on it.
  7. Sorry but, no. Devs have not acknowledge slicing in the least post-nerf. Slicing was a necessary evil. I needed money for training, my wife would have it. I needed money for missions, wife would have it. My crew skill training has effectively halted because I don't have the funds to send people off on 1.5k missions to get mats back which I see no return for since the AH is so slow and abysmal because, once again, crafting takes a back seat until max level. Which makes sense since I won't even be able to comfortably craft until then anyway.
  8. Slicing may have needed a nerf, sure. However there's a vast difference between nerfing a skill and completely gutting it. BW chose to make slicing about getting credits (and to a lesser extent schematics/augments). If they did not WANT slicing to have credit boxes and the chance to make money then they should've took that part out and made it actually useful to another skill in giving some mats (aside from what it does).
  9. Assuming OP is using the chest respawns on Ilum tbh.
  10. Ilum. Apparently people getting banned over camping it for being too underlevel or something.
  11. No, what we do is just ***** about each skill one by one until crafting is pointless and only a couple skills (like JC/Enchant in WoW) are worth a damn to take. With enough QQ it'll work, not like we need to know what we're talking about.
  12. Here's what we do. Let's zero in on a profession, doesn't matter which. Let's slam the hell out of it for no reason and say it's OP or reliant too much on raiding or something. Spam the crap out of it in various threads, make new threads. If you can't find a reason, just make one up. Not like valid opinions actually matter. Get new skill nerfed. Repeat on another crew skill until every craft is useless like it was in WoW and everything is raid dependent.
  13. BW said we'd get cosmetic weapons and armor that would be aesthetically different and be on par what what you'd expect at that level, meaning they'd be moddable (as the one outfit each side has now is). I see no weapons, and I see a crappy armor set and less than a handful of companion customization with some overpriced pet. The special mount? On the VIP vendor so no dice there. People were too busy whining and ******** that it'd be "pay to win" without realizing what the **** was actually in it, and BW catered to the whiners and removed it and basically made the store a joke. So glad I paid 150 for an area, which admittedly is pretty crappy, that DDE can get into for free as well as anyone with enough credits to spend to have a vendor that has **** all on it due to over-reacted forum whiners and the company that caters to them. I can see them going places.
