  1. I love keeping an ear out for familiar voices, especially in BioWare games. Sometimes it is hard to forget their previous roles, though - especially if the character was one I loved (or hated). Steve Blum is fantastic, for example, but I knew him as Oghren before playing the SI storyline, which really put me off the Andronikos romance. On the other hand, whenever I come across a character voiced by Greg Ellis or Peter Renaday, I just can't say no to them...
  2. Yes, I know. It's not like the difference is very pronounced.
  3. Felix Iresso is bugged too - he's using Zenith's lines. Which sound an awful lot like Theron at times. It's almost as if my consular has three guys following her around at once.
  4. He doesn't have quite as many funny reactions if you don't flirt with him, because then you never end up in the romance. Flirting with everyone, Corso included, gives the maximum amount of jealousy-related hijinks
  5. Sadly, yes, but there is a way to minimize the damage. By picking the right flirt options, you can actually progress through the whole romance - right up to the marriage proposal - without even kissing Doc. And the game acknowledges this. If you turn him down in the proposal conversation, you get a nice little discussion about the non-physical nature of your relationship and future possibilities. I loved it. Made the Doc romance feel much less sketchy.
  6. Being forced to recruit Gault went completely against the characters of the two BHs I've played, which annoyed me so much that my characters stuck him in a corner somewhere and told him to shut up whenever he ran his mouth. I would've really appreciated an opportunity to kill him, or at the very least, to not be forced to recruit him again. Ugh.
  7. And on the flip side, the consular story is one of my favorites, including the final boss. Knight is.... meh, so this news doesn't excite me much.
  8. One more thing: I love that he gives the SI a One of the best gifts any of my characters have gotten!
  9. Hmm, well... my main is a LS inquisitor who skipped the Andronikos romance entirely. I was misinformed and thought Talos was romanceable, so I decided to wait for him and ignore the crazy pirate who sounded like Oghren from Dragon Age. Eventually, though, I went back and made another inquisitor to check out the romance. It didn't end up being one of my favorites, but it's certainly interesting. Not as lovey-dovey as many of the others, a bit more uncertain, more of... a meeting of two very independent people. He's definitely got a dark streak to him. The inquisitor I romanced him with was much more neutral than my main, though, so that wasn't an issue.
  10. To you maybe, but sending Kaliyo in makes no sense to me. Of course, having her in the Alliance at all makes no sense to me. Strange that there aren't threads calling for her head after she ignores your orders. Guess everyone expects it of her.
  11. Yeah, I'm really not happy about being forced to trust Kaliyo to get something done, but I can't resist the chance to hear those lines.
  12. The special lines do indeed come at the end, after you return from the wilds. If you want to trigger them I recommend sending Kaliyo in at the beginning and sticking with that decision when it's questioned.
  13. He's fantastic, which is why I'm really looking forward to next chapter, when we get to see the fallout from this decision. If you send him in second, there's a boatload of potential drama a comin'. Gah, I wish this was a single player game so I could save and reload! Guess I'll just have to be ready on that ESC key.
  14. That's not entirely true. We had characters referring to the "will of the force" before this game came along.
  15. I'll just copy-paste here: "Many fans incorrectly assume that balance refers to an equal mix of both light and dark side users. However, as George Lucas explains in the introductory documentary for the VHS version A New Hope, Special Edition, this is not the case: "'[...] Which brings us up to the films 4, 5, and 6, in which Anakin's offspring redeem him and allow him to fulfill the prophecy where he brings balance to the Force by doing away with the Sith and getting rid of evil in the universe...'" In an interview, Lucas compared the difference between the light and dark sides as being like the difference between a symbiotic relationship and a cancer. A symbiotic relationship is one which benefits both parties and in which neither is harmed, whereas a cancer takes without giving back, eventually causing the death of both parties." So, yeah.
  16. This chapter made no sense to me. At all. Fortunately, everything involving Satele and Marr is easily ignored, so.... my PC went for a walk in the forest and finally managed to kick Vitiate out of her head! There were some weird dreams involved, but after a little meditation - or a good, stiff drink - everything's good. Can't wait to get back to kicking around Zakuul next month! Great chapter, BioWare!
  17. I get the same feeling during Chapter 1. In fact, that was one of the contributing factors to me deleting my first JK shortly after arriving on Tatooine. Next time around I just gritted my teeth and focused on reclaiming my hijacked storyline in Chapter 2. If I'd liked Kira, or been playing a male who was romancing her, it probably would've worked better.
  18. I'm not fond of Kira either. Especially now that I'll think of Bianca every time I hear her speak . Thanks, GabbyMe....
  19. I completely agree. In spite of all the bugs, I had a great time playing through this chapter. Loved the reunion with a romanced Aric (props to both the writer(s) and the VA there), enjoyed the story, found the puzzle a welcome change of pace, and the combat was much less irritating than in the last chapter. Good stuff.
  20. I love Corso and his jealousy. I've made many, many smugglers just to play through the storyline, flirt with everything to hear his reactions, then marry him at last. As long as you like the guy, it can be a very fun romance.
  21. As mentioned above, the only love interest who has returned thus far is Kaliyo, with Aric Jorgan scheduled for next chapter. It seems BioWare is going with one old romanceable companion returning per installment, possibly accompanied by one of the non-romanceable ones, and you'll have the option to either go back to them or break it off. I can't talk about datamined info on the forums here, so can't say much about Mako, Kira or Jaesa beyond that there's no official news.
  22. My Rattataki BH didn't join because she came from a different tradition, one she saw no reason to abandon just because Mandalore suddenly asked her to. In fact, she was more than a little offended by his offer. She's just as proud of her culture as Mandos are of theirs; why the heck would they expect her to throw it away? Right after she'd used that training to beat them at their own game?? If anything, she expected them to be clamoring to learn from her. Yeah, my gal walked away from Chapter 1 with a very low opinion of Mandalorians.
  23. Malavai Quinn. Yep, Quinn. In spite of everything. He is without doubt the companion I'm most looking forward to canonically getting back in KotFE. Second place is Talos Drelik - so glad I could recruit him almost right off the bat!
  24. It's the first love interest (male or female) you acquire in the storyline. Felix joins up before Nadia and Kira before Doc, so that's who shows up.
