  1. Aside from the fact that an artillery strike would still effect Marr and Lana unless they are 20-30 meters away, you pretty much made my point: Marr and Lana are disengaging and not attacking at the same times as the artillery strike and thus Revan is not being attacked by all enemies at the same time. Add to that Revan's great precog and his tactical skiil that would allow him to maneuver his melee opponents that he outclasses in power and skill into a position where they are in the line of sight of his ranged opposition. And BM or no BM the simple fact remains that Marr and Lana are phydically present and their mere physical presence means that they are unpredictably and quickly moving obstacle to the ranged team's fire.
  2. Fair point on Satele's BM, however my main point regarding BM still is that it would be almost a necesity to allow a group as rag-tag as this to fight togther cohesively at all. Could you specify as to the circumstances of them fighting force users. I think a fight between HoT and Vizla and Shan killing a DC member were mentioned earlier, but both were pretty vague. However, my main point remains that fighting a force user is completely different from fighting a force user who is engaged in a 2 v 1 lightsaber fight and Im pretty sure youd agree that fighting other force sensitives, even DC members, still doesnt prepare you for an opponent of Revan's caliber. This type of fight introduces a lot of variables that fighting a force user on normal terms is a poor preparation for. Your opponent is moving much more unpredicably, as he is responding not only to your actions, but also to those of your allies. And once again, most importantly, you cant just go all out, as there is a severe risk of hitting an ally.
  3. Okay I will point out one thing: there is no way the Revan-Coalition fight happened the way it is presented in game. The reason for that is that in game there is no friendly fire, in a real fight there is. It is simply impossible for the ranged team to constantly bombard Revan while Lana and Marr attack him in melee. Even with BM that level of co-operation is simply impossible. Especially, because the BM was from a Jedi master who was significantly weakened by a dark side nexus and afaik post-prime. And more importantly when said fighters are a hesitantly thrown together bunch of people who would usually want to kill each other and have in some cases never fought together before. We have melee fighters on 2 sides of Revan engaged in a duel with him and I think we all know how fast force users move during those fights which would make it almost impossible for the ranged fighters to keep track of their target. Just consider the difference in reflex speed. By the time say Vizla has actually had an opportunity to aim and fire, Revan will already have moved to another location. Also AOE attacks like missiles, explosives or flame throwers would obviously not have worked, because their AOE would have effected the allied fighters as well. Badically re-watch Sid vs Maul and Opress and consider whether a bunch of Deah Watch would have been able to do anything to help Maul and Opress.
  4. So what does everyone start of with? For example do Mandos have their armor?
  5. Building ideas: Bank (income) Arms factory (reduces cost of producing weapons and equiping troops with them) Mines (income, depends on resources available on planet) Trade hub/space port (increases trade, would probably increase income, but maybe make planets easier to infiltrate?) Also I think we should be able to actually build cities of various sizes if we have enough people to populate them. I also think there should be some other meaningful ways to change a planet such as building irrigation networks on desert planets. Sil am pretty much fine with your building ideas.
  6. Hey J when are you updating your ground forces to account for the Providence's increased cargo?
  7. I have around 2 million cargo and want to use AHS-1s, HMPs and Chameleon Droids.
  8. So its a percentage of the total crgo capacity among other factors?
  9. What number of droids/vehicles that are classified as "limited" can we start of with?
  10. How exactly are people who's task it is to hunt down Jedi supposed to be weaker than Jedi?
  11. Cade vs Krayt: Krayt spent most of those 100 years in stasis. Id argue that Cade taking apart One Sith Troopers is equally impressive to Krayt dealing with the Imp knights, especially because the OSTs are each a lot stronger then IKs. Keep in mind that Caedus is quite an idiot and that his perspective is in no way reliable. It is also possible that the force nexus-whatever-thing was messing with him. If Ben was relevant in the fights with Abeloth, he will be a factor here.
  12. Alright. Here we go then! Disclaimer: Didnt have much time to research, so some of this is from memory, apologies for any inacuracies. Cade vs Krayt; Well Cade killed Krayt once already, so not much to say there is. But honestly, as you yourself had him on your last team, youll know what a beast Cade is. He probably slaughtered dozens of One Sith and more impressively One Sith Troopers, presented by Krayt as the ultimate fighting force in the galaxy and so powerful that he chose to completely indoctrinate them, turning them into his mindless slaves to ensure that they wouldnt turn against him. The fact that Krayt saw them as a potential threat really demonstrates their power and yet Cade crushed them. As a former smuggler/pirate/bounty hunter you can also be sure that Cade will fight dirty and bring out a few tricks to catch Krayt by suprise. Mara vs Starkiller: I think Mara's main advantage here is her unorthodoxy. She has several decades more of experience than Starkiller and has done pretty much everything that can give you experience in fighting, having been a spy and assassin, a pirate and smuggler, a bounty hunter (iirc) and a Jedi master. In combat she employs a wide variety of tools and tricks, weapons, gadgets, tactics, cunning and patience to defeat her opponent. Starkiller in contrast is pretty much as predictable as it gets, charging straight at his oppoents and demolishing them with overwhelming force and lightsaber attacks. He never really encountered an opponent who fights dirty and his inexperience with this type of fighting and his impatience will make him run straight into Mara's traps. His force powers wont save him either; if Caedus couldnt overpower Mara with the force, Starkiller cant either. Of course he is a much stronger force user, but Mara is smart, skilled and experienced enough to evade or mitigate his force attacks. Then of course we have Ben as support: the son of the most powerful force user of all times and a powerful Jedi in his own right, experienced from fighting in the Second Galactic Civil War and fighting the Lost Tribe of the Sith and Abeloth. He is skilled enough to easily defeat Sith Swords, was able to do at least some damage to Abeloth and was a skilled enough force user to learn new force techniques at a similar speed to Luke. Hell certainly be there to tip the scalws of any unfavorable engagement. Not to mention the Skywalkers' team work will be a million times better.
  13. The difference is that TWC is a single source that portrays Grievous as terrible while there are around a dozen sources that portray him as awesome thus TWC's portrayal is not representative.
  14. How is it a poor feat to loose to Starkiller? Everyone in the OR Jedi order would have lost to Starkiller. The fact that Kota was even able to have a fight and wasnt crushed instantly, the fact that he wasnt even really trying to win and the fact that he survived already put him head and shoulders above most of the OR order. Its also not a sign of weakness to loose to Ventress and especially Grievous as basically everyone in the OR order would have lost to them.
  15. OCW stands for old clone wars, the 2003 cartoon, TCW stands for the clone wars, the new cartoon. In OCW and most/all other sources of that time period Grievous kicks @, while in TWC he is a real looser which is why I describe TWC Grievous as not the real Grievous. Unlike as in TWC, in OCW Grievous is not strongly effected by telekinetic attacks. Iirc he is not damaged by tk on Hypori and on Coruscant he dodges 2 tk attacks, appears undamaged by a third one that hits him and is only force crushed by Mace due to reasons already explained multiple times such as shatterpoint, Mace's strength in the force, the fact that Grievous was trying to flee not fight, Grievous most likely expecting Mace to attack with the lightsaber etc.
  16. Check out his respect thread. I guess the scenes were from TWC which isnt the real Grievous.
  17. Ah okay. I thought you would change it again. So we are ready to go Id say.
  18. Sil I need ASH-1 and HMP cargo space costs.
  19. First of all Grievous killed over 100 Jedi. There are several reasons as to why telekinetic attacks dont work on Grievous. First is his speed. Grievous was shown to dodge telekinetic blasts from high level Jedi in OCW, an average knight would have had no chance of hitting him. He can anchor himself into the ground using the magnetic claws on his feet to resist force pushes. He is also very durable making it almost impossible for an average knight to damage him by simply smashing him into a wall. The reason Mace could cripple him was his immense strength in the force and that his shatterpoint likely revealed the weaknesses of Grievous' body.
