  1. More like we're losing players because BW removed unique/awesome gear and thought that destroying all the classes' individuality in terms of gear and story would please their fan/subscriber base. Not getting new multiplayer Flashpoints and Operations (and discouraging new and old players from doing those that already exist) is just a complimentary kick in the n4ds compared to that.
  2. Z0-0M's disguise ability isn't what makes her so powerful; it's the fact that she's autonomous and runs a criminal syndicate.
  3. 1. IG-88 2. Z0-0M 3. HK-47 4. G0-T0 5. SCORPIO 6. Titan 6 7. 4-LOM 8. R2-D2 9. HK-51 10. PROXY I included DarkStryder at #2 'til I realized it wasn't a droid.
  4. She only got that Force energy thanks to tutaminis.
  5. If I could only have one that looked however I desired, it'd have a red crystal and be identical to Obi-Wan's last lightsaber in every way except for the black part of the hilt above the pommel, which would be cylindrical and made of the same metal alloy as the parts of the saber immediately around it (with the same radius, as well). If I could have more, I'd have that with a green lightsaber crystal, a replica of that in case I ever decided to dual-wield, and Palpatine's lightsabers from his playdate (read: duel) against Savage and Maul–and however many lightsaber crystals I could carry without arousing suspicion (and maybe a pair of Defiant Vented Lightsabers, while I'm at it). It'd be perfect for infiltrating the Jedi and rising in the ranks–and strength–until I'd become the most powerful (and, hopefully, most trusted) Force-sensitive ever.
  6. Because they can reflect laser bolts /thread (and maybe 'cause the Force already allows them to handle danger from a distance–or cause it).
  7. The only reason I really liked Makeb was 'cause of the Makeb Assault armor the Imperial vendor sells to those with Champion Rep or higher. Pub Makeb was definitely easier, tho
  8. The Dread Masters. Dealing with high-tier Force-users is better than fighting tech-savvy herms and their henchmen.
  9. 1. Jedi Knight. Just because you get to give the Emperor a beatdown (on a dark side Force nexus, no less). 2. Imperial Agent. Just for how stopping Jadus in his tracks at the cost of millions of lives (and dark side points) showed that maybe the dark side does have a purpose. 3. Sith Warrior. Excellent conflict. It's all about doing the best (or the worst) with what you're given. You decide the way things should be, and you do it the only way anyone knows how when the charade of civility's discarded: through violence. You get to use the power the galaxy gives you as you deem fit. Despite all that, I do wish you could get light side points for not coercing the Republic troops on Nar Shaddaa into repaying your kindness by helping you against Lord Rathari, as well as for asking the Jedi Baras' spy infiltrated on Corellia to surrender her ('cause, even if you didn't have a plan for that, at least you cared to try). 4. Sith Inquisitor. Makes you feel like you're the center of the galaxy. If you're dark-sided, you start to feel like a mini-Emperor, though. 5. Trooper. It was fun to see a Chiss or Sith Trooper get deserted by all the other Havoc Squad members, just to take them down immediately thereafter. I wish players didn't get light side points for telling Fuse the only reason you saved him was to bring him in alive, rather than because you actually cared about him (even though I myself prefer stopping Colonel Gorik at the expense of his life). 6. Jedi Consular. Bland. Repetitive. I did like the contrast of having to deal with being weaker in the first Chapter, then gaining that Force strength back upon defeating Vivicar against the Inquisitor's MO of taking power that wasn't their own in Chapters 2 and 3. 7. Smuggler. Boring. I heard it had some wasted story potential on Balmorra, but it's been so long since I leveled it (and I hardly paid attention to any of the characters' situations by then) that I'm not sure what act of piracy they could've engaged in (nor do I care). Never leveling another. 8. Bounty Hunter. It would have been above the Trooper, Consular, and Smuggler, if it hadn't been for all its glaring grammatical flaws. Killing Tormen was fun, but I was disappointed by the fact that letting Jun Seros know he put Dorian Janarus' life at risk out of pride and petty vengeance was a dark side choice. The "Homewrecker" title was nice, too.
  10. Gault. There was no reason my BH should have left him alive.
  11. Actually, whether it's common knowledge among Dark Council members or not, it appears evident that Scourge had no idea about them. And, calling it in advance: the hooded figure in the teaser is either yet another one of Vitiate's Voices or his original body.
  12. Here's another: Vitiate secretly either arranged or encouraged the Kaggath between Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh, knowing that it'd leave the ancient Sith vulnerable, so that he, as the only one able to provide them refuge, would have authority over the entire species. Oh, by the way: I got the impression that the masked body the Hero of Tython first encountered probably WAS the Voss Voice, whose face was concealed to prevent people (particularly Scourge) from realizing he had Voices to begin with. Keep in mind that Voices take considerable time to prepare/convert. And, before you argue that "Voss are taller than that," the Voss Voice the Sith Warrior meets has the same height and build as a Body Type 2 male player character.
  13. I realized a few months ago that some people forget that Darth Malgus grew up WITH Satele when they evaluate his feats. Over the past month or so, I got the impression that people really underappreciate him. He may not be as strong as Soa, sure, but he did have the potential to one-shot either faction's player characters with Force lightning (kind of like how Kreia managed to one-shot three members of the Jedi Council with prep). He single-handedly slew Jedi Battlemaster Kao Cen Darach when he was what, 20? That's comparable to Kun besting Vodo-Siosk Baas. True, Vindican died, but who's to say that that wasn't a deliberate attempt to prove that he surpassed his master, or that Vindican didn't merely get in the way? And I will concede that he used Vindican's lightsaber, but how is that any different from Exar Kun using Jar'Kai to defeat Vodo-Siosk Baas (who wasn't trying to kill him at the time) on Onderon? And Malgus spent 40 years getting stronger and stronger after that! If you look at the duel in "Return," there's a period of time (during which Vindican gets stabbed) in which Malgus just leaves the two more experienced Force-users alone; that's the basis for my argument that Malgus sought to slay Darach one-on-one. He forced Satele into a situation in which she had to use tutaminis to survive, and was only defeated because she was fortunate enough to have Jace Malcom interrupt him and give her enough time to redirect the energy she absorbed at him. Save for the Battle of Ilum, that's the only time I can recall that he's EVER been defeated. Satele was STILL TERRIFIED OF HIM up to the day he died. I'd honestly like to believe he's around Exar Kun's tier as a Force user. Speaking of which, did you include any of Kun's feats AFTER his physical death? If so, they shouldn't be valid. And shouldn't Soa be on the list? Or does he simply not have any Sense feats? If so, is that an adequate reason to refuse to consider putting him on the list? Anyways, Malgus isn't precisely as strong as Exar Kun, but I personally like to think that he's as capable a duelist overall; as if he might win a lightsaber battle against him, despite having less strength in the Force. Oh, and it appears that Arcann doesn't have any noteworthy deflection feats, so that might be a disadvantage against Malgus. You're probably waiting 'til after Chapter 16's released before you make any judgments, though. And I think you all might've been overlooking a few characters from non-SWTOR, non-Legacy sources, 'cause I never considered the gap between Dooku and Vader's abilities to be that wide, and there are other characters with remarkable feats, like Mace Windu, Kyle Katarn, Celeste Morne, and Shaak Ti. Oh, and if you plan on arguing that Arcann withstood Valkorion's Force lightning while Darth Marr didn't, keep in mind that he was presumably amped from Zakuul's Force nexus.
  14. The thread's title explains its purpose, but not why: About a year ago, I recalled that "umbra" is not only Latin for "shadow," but also for "ghost" (with connotations of being evil or vengeful–a revenant–which I figured fit post-Foundry Revan spot-on); this led me to believe that whoever formulated the name for the expansion had that in mind when they came up with it. Do you think that sounds likely, and has that thought crossed your mind before?
  15. Another theory: Valkorion's the same Voice we see in Blood of the Empire.
  16. I always felt that the non-Legacy species options were arranged in order of likelihood from left to right (although, naturally, since the first species option is human, I'd ignore that). Jedi Knight: Miraluka Jedi Consular: Mirialan Trooper: Zabrak Smuggler: Twi'lek Sith Warrior: Sith Sith Inquisitor: Human (since Kallig doesn't have lekku, and Talos doesn't specify what species he was if you play an alien) Bounty Hunter: Rattataki Imperial Agent: Chiss
  17. I just felt like making a thread for everyone's postulations about (and hopes for) the game's story. Here, you may either post a theory of your own or discuss and analyze others'. I'd like to start off with the theory that Vitiate's original body's kept within the Dark Sanctuary of the Gravestone. This theory might be supported by the facts that we don't know how long ago the Gravestone went out of commission (nor whether or not the Emperor might have stumbled upon it since then), and that the Emperor only began relying on Voices after Revan tried to kill him. "The Emperor created his first Voice after the legendary Jedi named Revan attempted to assassinate him on Dromund Kaas. Though Revan's plot failed, he approached within striking distance of the Emperor. To guard against further vulnerability, the Emperor created the Voice to deliver his orders while distancing himself from the forces that conspired against him. Centuries later, this very safeguard would save the Emperor once more."
  18. Agreed. Also: the increased companion affection gains and affection cap (and the proportionate Presence gain they get), the fact that they can now be used as any role, and the class-specific companions' original gear BioWare mailed our characters.
  19. Considering how I got into this game as an F2P player due to content such as "The Jedi Prisoner", this was a terrible decision. Did they remove the offhands from Saving Face, too?
  20. The original weapons weren't from the Cartel Market. There'd still be a difference, even if they made Cartel Market copies of them with identical names. The only ways I can imagine they'd change/fix this is (from what I think would be most likely to least) by making the weapons drop from Maelstrom Prison and The Foundry, making vendors that sell the weapons, or making them mission rewards for their respective quests again.
  21. And you I believe hit the nail on the head... That's still no reason to remove unique weapons, like those from "The Jedi Prisoner" and "A Call to Arms". They removed something from before 4.0, and, now, as with the Nightmare Mode Eternity Vault and Karagga's Palace Operations, there are some players who have something to show for having completed the content before the expansion hit. Unlike the Operations, however, they removed the weapons without any warning.
  22. There's still some, like the Raider's Cove gear from the Rishi story quests, but there aren't any customizable gear vendors on either of the fleets.
