  1. I really enjoy the Seeker and Macrobin. quests so far - The "puzzle" quest on Quesh was great. And first I hated the Seeker Droid, but once I figured it out and READ the quest descriptions, it worked just fine (getting the H2 on Tattooine done in 5 minutes while watching people digging up the streets is just pure sadistic fun ). Using the Seeker Droid is a great way to make a little money and to get some purple gear while leveling up - without getting too much XP. I would very much like many more Seeker and Macrobinocular quests (especially such with puzzles). And _please_ create some dailies for Corellia and Nar Shaddaa (I love city planets). More please!
  2. Yeah, welcome yourself Bioware - If I were able to play the game, maybe I would be content. But with a continuous repair loop during patching and no help from the CS it's not that easy
  3. Ha, that's a good one (provided that EA understands what you imply) Actually, over the last few days I encountered companion AI glitches with Khem Val (while leveling a new alt), that I first experienced in Dec 2011 with Qyzen (his double and my very first SWTOR companion). - If you compare this "drive" to fix bugs with their nowadays prioritized and so "vibrant" Cartel Market one really gets frustrated...
  4. Some thoughts came up to my mind reading this article (not necessarily coherent) a) Shouldn't reputation be something associated with real deeds of real significance? Like completing HM Op's (for the first time) or crafting stuff for the rest of the server... b) Why can't BW first fix/complete existing content/issues before introducing new (and seemingly useless) stuff? What about the Legacy? Still no bonuses for reaching LVL50? c) What's the impact of having the highest reputation despite a useless title? If it's just a honorary thing, why can't BW just grant it for honorary deeds (like a) ) and not for hours-long brainless grinding...
  5. Read this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=132015 BTW I make most of my money with an Armstech alt > purple barrels for "all" levels & lvl 49 purple augments. Because all people "hate" Armstech, the crafting missions for researched materials (investigation) are so darn cheap that your profit margin for the barrels is quite good and the overkill & fortitude augments are very much sought after. You should at least have one Armtech alt as you will have "fresh" barrels all the time while leveling. As for slicing: it's a good skill to make "fast" money but you will need scavenging for crafting either barrels (investigation) or augments (slicing), so if you don't have another alt to gather scavenged materials you should take scavenging at least while leveling (dropping it for slicing later on is no prob as getting slicing to 400 by sending your alts on missions takes about one afternoon and crit-ing you'll get lots of crafting missions & some schematics that way).
  6. - Change to a hybrid spec (ie 25/15/1) that gives you surgical probe & the complete 3rd tier of concealment. - As for the companion: gear up a tank (Kaliyo, Scorpio). >Playing it right you can a) solo (almost any) heroics b) even solo some lvl50 flashpoints. Always keep in mind though, that you're effectively a melee class with long range capabilities! If you take a DPS companion, you'll have to tank, which will cause problems in more difficult situations. It will lower your DPS per se (less backstabbing) and force you to heal more, which will lower your damage output further.
  7. This?! BTW why is this thread not in the CS section? For me a repair run always worked, never needed a reinstall! If you still encounter errors after a complete repair run (better do two in a row) and the error is connected to certain areas (ie Tatooine) you can always delete the corresponding files in your SWTOR \assets directory (DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK), repair then takes over the reinstallation of those files when you run it the next time - better 240megs than 20gigs... Just one other thing: SWTOR loads/installs some?/all? of those files from the \assets_swtor_main... directory, so the next step would be to delete this folder (DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK) - Which would force the repairer to download these files again... I had to do both a few times in the past and now SWTOR only crashes so often.... ...my Win7 sucks much more than SWTOR, when I was writing this the first time, I had my daily BSOD....
  8. This. Always keep in mind that she's just a crazy psychopath (== Jack from ME2), so just give her a weapon (gift) to play with and she'll be fine. For a first companion she gets such ridiculously high affection gains from gifts = weapon, luxury, u-goods (just compare her to Qyzen who takes ages to get to 10K aff.). Hey, I even don't care about her -30's any more because of that (Currently leveling my 2nd IA and having a blast as an operative )
  9. Yes it's Healing Hand that doesn't seem to work properly - but please read my main post and that by MelliMelon, who comes to totally different results and to a large plus induced by UH when it comes to healing (though this bonus is probably Healing Hand related too)
  10. Ha, that'd be great: 1M units of molecular stabilizers
  11. I request a legacy locker! Wouldn't it so much more convenient to have a common - legacy-wide accessible - place for storage where to put your crafting materials?
  12. You're welcome BTW I think our heals can't be overpowered enough
  13. Hello imps, please read my scoundrel related thread in the CS section: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5519102 It might affect you as well?!
  14. To all scoundrels out there - Please read my thread in the CS area: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5519102
  15. All of the above and: Q: (When) will you extend the storyline for each individual classes? Q: When will we see new companion quests (despite HK's)?
  16. Well, BW patched/changed the skill with SWTOR already released, so this maybe explains why Slicing is so "special". Shouldn't slicing missions actually be more demanding than others because of the "double power"? You are right - all modifications have more stats than augments and in terms of effect armorings and barrels are worth much more (with their damage & armor rating) - There is certainly a large imbalance here but not only for augments (think about mods > they cost _the same_ as armorings but do not provide more than stat bonuses - and consider implants & earpieces as well: they provide much more stat changes than modifications and cost half the purple mats to produce). As for the difficulty to craft (and the pricing of) augments: it's the (fine-)tuning of your stats, to reach the final 5% you have to spent unproportionally more time and/or money than for the first 95%. Considering the pricing on the GTN, it maybe was not BW's intention that purple tier 6 augments are selling for a 100k, but like that it's at least a good source of income. Again it comes down to demand. Augment slots & Augments are a luxury: not essentially necessary but very nice to have and very expensive (a credit sink as you already said but at least more useful than a mount for 1mil). Your general criticism is probably right - the crafting process could profit from an overhaul/rebalancing (i.e. skill based results and not sheer luck, there are many threads out there), but in my opinion the current "rules" at least create a consistent system. You can always use it to your advantage. As a practical example: the difference between blue and purple augments is _very_ small, so craft blue ones for yourself (esp. while leveling/gearing up) and sell the purple ones until you are rich (did this with an alt, the relative profit margin is ridiculous).
  17. See below! You have to compare the effort to do "sliced tech part missions" to mission skills (i.e. investigation or diplomacy) Slicing is in fact special as it is both: a gathering and a mission skill - which other gathering skill yields purple mats? It is indeed strange that augments sell a lot higher than implants but that's a question of supply and demand (in fact I made millions selling augments but had difficulties selling good implants - unfortunately, the prices for augments tanked lately on my server). Looking at the requirements for crafting implants, you have to compare biochem to cybertech: earpieces as a "small" item cost two mission mats as well. An augment is considered an _item modification_ albeit an expensive one, thus it needs 4 mats (like the armstech barrel, cybertech mod & armoring and artifice enhancement). In another thread we complained about the crit rate of the _regular_ tier 6 slicing missions: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=499390 Actually, after patch 1.3.4. my crit rate is consistently around 20% (30 crits in 147 missions = 20,4%). That should be sufficient to craft a few augments per day. In fact, I never use slicing mission discoveries as they are a) rare "drop" as you said, b) they are ridiculously expensive on the GTN As a biochem crafter you're lucky as you can always craft "cheap" implants to rev.eng. for augment components and send them to your armstech (always craft green ones, the bonus yield when crafting blue ones or even purple ones is negligible) - Compare the mats needed to armstech (...argh...). Don't despair, Slicing will work out. Just keep your companions doing missions continuously. And if you want to earn money, simply craft purple mid level augments (the "purple yield" for lower tier missions is much higher) - they are in high demand and competition is much lower. Augment crafting and augments are not just for lvl 50!
  18. I sold the Scorpion Jacket for 90k within "minutes". Now I feel bad about not having charged enough
  19. Yes please! My scoundrel would be delighted
  20. Well, now that's interesting! Starting a new count on Tuesday, the stats changed drastically: 15 criticials in 63 missions = 23% !! (Which is nearly on the spot, considering Scorpio's 2% bonus) Is this pure luck or did the last patch include some change of parameters for the slicing missions? Am I the only one with those "new" numbers? I really don't mind ...unfortunately in the meantime the prices for augments dropped by 20% on my server
  21. Oh my... the updated numbers for my Slicer: 14 crits in 135 missions, that's roughly 10,4%! (btw I got Scorpio with her +2%) I guess it's just bad luck - but in the meantime I accumulated 98 tier four purples with just 2 companions running them?!?
  22. OK, I counted the last 51 missions: I had 7 critical successes, that makes about 13,7%. Interesting though is, that most (all?) where achieved while offline or playing another character! Is this real or just an impression?
