this wouldnt all be so terrible if not for the abysmal download speeds.. usually 7mbps ..swtor never > 900kbps i think before fixing anything else the patcher needs some serious love.

im in APAC and quite sure that it is SWTOR too. i was looking for games to play and downloaded a 6GB client for another game from NA servers in under 45min. ironically i couldnt play this korean game due to ipblocking so i gave swtor a try (yes that was back when they had APAC servers) i downloaded SWTOR and the smaller download took a day or more at an estimated average of 600 kb/s. Patching the game is even slower. its highly discouraging for newer players. i tried to talk two friends to take a peek ... some of them would certainly have done that if not for the horrendous DL time...i think either the patcher needs some love or bw is saving on the wrong end here

i started playing from south korea a couple weeks back. in the beginning the connection wasnt too bad (pve lag wasnt very noticeable so some time passed between my first chars creation and me finally seeing the ping meter) this was also around the time when people started to freak out about the server merges so i didnt really worry about it much. average ping hovered around 500ms without ever going below 400. not good but i could live with that. however, recently the game has become absolutely unplayable for me. ping averages around 800ms with spikes every couple seconds up to a couple 10 k. random hiccups and freezes and everything else mankind has ever come to witness in this regard. is that the general state of the aus <-> asia con? i know that europe <-> east asia has always made gaming practically impossible between those continents. but ive had litte problems connecting to us west for instance. whats the latest word on the mergers? at this point i have a 46 sin, 50commando, 42 guardian and dont really feel like rerolling on another server so maybe i should just quit altogether?

hi! i learned biochem on my character and reached 400/400 skill. i want to learn advanced biochem now at the trainer but when i click it nothing happens. is there some hidden level requirement that i dont meet or is it something else? i certainly do have enough credits to train it and cant figure out whats going on any conmstructive input is appreciated
