  1. Ships were each time flying fluently without classical "teleporting" lag move. Moreover from my experience rockets are only weapon able to properly hit laggers, since you dont need to aim perfectly when locking on jumping target. But OK, I will believe that they were just excellent pilots with unusual luck.
  2. I have encoutered some strange behaviour in game and because it was not once time, I want to know what is it. At first I must note that it happens in several games only against players with ship, which is avaiable only for cartel coins. When in fight I found that I´m not able to make a single hit on enemi ship even if I´m directly behind at short distance and have clear shot. Rockets are not doing damage too. Most of time I´m not even able to lock such ship, because locking is not functioning at all. I have exluded distortion field (ship dont even have usual "aura") or any kind of jamming, because this "non-lock" endure for really long time. Even if I manage after long time to lock and launch missile, it just fly to ship and there do nothing. Enemi pilot dont even tried to make any evasive maneuver. It is also no lag on my side since every other ship is normaly hitable. Do cartel ships have such kinds of bonus? I recognize that pilots of these ships were really good, but this was really weird.
  3. 1. They could have one energy pool for weapon and engine. It would be shoot or run. Such powerfull weapon must have major energy consumption. 2. One gunship covered by another gunship is beyond limit of lowness. I´m surprised that any team not yeat come with tactic of medieval musketters. One line of gunships fire, fly little back for regen replaced by second line of gunships and this still over and over again. That would be their ultimate skill
  4. So basicaly here is said, that not even 2 scout/strike are able to take down 1 bomber. You need 2 ships (which one must be gunship (which is OP in its way too) to shot down 1 bomber. But yes, thats not OP. It is of course bomber pilot skill and all others are whiners Battles are decided even before start by number of bombers and gunships on each side. Only if they are equal, there is chance for fair fight. Classical old good dogfight is very rare in these days, there is always at least one camper (gunship or bomber, doesn´t matter) farming his score. Only Scout/Fighter would be nice battle, but only Gunship/Bombers would be much more fun - trench warfare
  5. I´m occasionally playing Starfighter and for me it is after each update less SW and more regular FPS (nobody can consider this seriously as space fighter simulation, not even as attempt). Gunships are snipers and bombers are engineers, starfighters are just grunts with low impact on final result. Which is really sad, because there are lots of FPS but I would like to play online something like was X-Wing vs TIE fighter. How can you feel like in SW universe, when space is filled with camping gunships and bombers? SW space fights are supposed to be build on classical dogfights. Current Gunships sniping other ships from distance are completly outside whole universe. Basis for gunships is good - heavily armored, well armed but slow and with low maneuverability. But where they took sniping?? It is SW, all are shooting at short distance and even so they have problem to hit anything (even if we put the immortality of the main heroes away). Bombers are now main damage dealers. Just load out drones and they will do its job . Bombers? Really? Seems like all SW movies, books, comics etc. have it wrong. They were using bombers for bombing of ground units or attacking main ships. But in fact they are perfect for shooting down fighters with drones If you want bombers so bad, make main ships moving thru space battlefield. Bombers will be only ships able to effectively stop them. Therefore it will be priority to shoot down bombers of other side and simultaneously protect your own bombers. If none side will have pilots flying with bombers, it can be piloted just by computer. That will be nothing new, since drones are already independent now. Please, make Starfighter again little more SW and less ordinary FPS. I'm wondering if some players have same feeling about this game or it is just me.
