  1. I have been offline for a bit over a year - my gosh , the changes! Before that I spent about 3 months with a group - and due to never seeing anyone online during my own play schedule pretty much led me to leave the game entirely. I was a bit tired of guild hunting. Before that, I spent about 8 months on my own. Most of which I was paying for the service, but not actually logging in. At level 50, and without a group, there just wasn't enough to keep me going. Starfighter caused me to find a group, but turned out to be a disappointment, which meant I had no solo content worth sticking around for. Prior to that, however... I was a Collector's Edition preorder. I had the game on pre-order from the first day Gamestop announced pre-order sales, and once the CE was announced, bumped up without hesitating. Big fan of the game, of KOTOR, and of Star Wars in General. I started on Vornskyr with some friends. I had been the nominal leader of a guild for years, and brought that community to SWTOR. The move to Harbinger led to a few disputes - most of them resolved, but a seed of bitterness festered within a top-ranking member, Before I knew it, the guild ceased to be the good thing that it had started as - friends with late-night habits having a good time - and turned to the dark side. By vote of top-ranks, it was disbanded, and I ended up playing alone. Over time, I found out that a large reason I was seeing some rather aggressive player behavior thrown my way was due to a former member's putting a "Bounty" on me. Heck, for the reward offered I was tempted to send in a screenshot of killing my PC off myself! So with that I transferred to Jung Ma to continue. I'm not sure what this post counts as. I am either looking to join a group that can accomadate a Night Owl, or am looking to form one if one does not exist. I currently also play MechWarrior Online, which is much better suited to when I want to shred things all alone. I'd like to get my character kitted out, to be sure. It would be nice to vist Section X and not get killed every five seconds, at 54! I'm a Jedi Guardian, previously a hybrid build, but now forced into the Vigilance Spec. I suppose there will be much re-gearing needed. Putting this thread out there, to see what kind of response it delivers. Will check daily until either recruited, or having gathered some other folks into something new and beautiful. I'm most comfortable playing midnight or later PACIFIC time, so 3 AM to you easterners There is some room for flexibility, but if you want this Guardian at his best, that would be the best time to fit me into! I'm sure I can't be the only Night Owl on the Pacific Coast line, so drop me a line. I'm a profanity-free player. I can tolerate it in small doses. My number one guideline for internet interactions is simple: Don't be a Jerk. Thank you for your time. ~~The Shredder
  2. I understand MMOs just fine. No need for personal attacks. But an expansion would be Content that you Download into the game. I'm not asking for minor cosmetic DLC, just simply stating some things I would like to see in an expansion. I also like to point out that this isn't WoW. It's a game made by BioWare. They won't pull that crap. Besides which, the Death Troopers expansion was free in SWG. If they had some Red Harvest missions, I would expect them to either be a part of a much larger expansion, or be included in the regular updates entitled to those paying monthly. I would also like to point out that this is just speculation. I'm not exactly privy to info coming from the Devs or anything. I just wanted to voice my opinion of things they could include in future updates/expansions. I think BioWare is the last company that releases true expansions for single-player games. I don't expect them to let us down now.
  3. So, when the book Death Troopers came out, there was a Death Troopers add-on for SWG. I started reading Red Harvest, which takes place during The Old Republic. In fact, it is smack dab in the middle of the novels. My thought is this. Does this mean that maybe Bioware is already cooking up an expansion or update based on this novel? That would be awesome if true. Also, I'm hoping that some homage will be paid the The Old Republic comics released in the early 90s. As for other expansion ideas, I believe they've left room for some kind of expansion for the starships. Perhaps the space combat can go to a more Freelancer type thing? And for species I would enjoy seeing added as playable, consider these: Zeltron Wookie Ferros Gand Mon Calamari Droid Ryn Nautolian Togruta And for possible playable classes, how about a neutral faction? Or these: Diplomat Starfighter Pilot Republic/Imperial Navy Combat Medic Slaver Pirate
  4. I believe the early game access is being used to test fixes to the latest round updates since the last beta. Plus, the stress tests had fewer servers and people than what launch will be. However, I've had early game access for three days. I've logged in easily each day, and server crashes were corrected in less than five minutes. You got to remember, this is Bioware's first MMO. They are doing things a lot differently than how the other companies doe it. It will take some trial and error to get everything solid and stable. This is by far the biggest launch of an MMO I've seen. Most seem to take months or even years to get adopted by the general public. With this many people watching Bioware's every move, and with all the arrogant couch critics out there, it will seem like maybe it isn't going well. I know people that play WoW and still have complaints over servers and other stupid little bugs. And if you want to see what failure looks like, just try logging into Silkroad. And when you do, count the number of bots you encounter in the first hour. The bottom line, this is the best-looking, best playing, most engaging MMO I've ever played. I know people that despise Star Wars that think this game is pimp. Through the betas, I've gone through the first ten levels of the Jedi Knight class four times. And I'm still not bored with it. That is something uniquely TORo.
