  1. I guess the emperor didn't recognise us because it's not really the emperor but an echo But yeah it is a let down like this whole update. I'm just going to pretend my character had too much cheese, hit his head, had a bad dream and none of this nonsense happened. At least the emperor is dead dead. Unless bioware needs another pointless plot point in the future.
  2. I think a few where given a polish but not all of them.
  3. Not sure if I can answer your question as I haven't played outlander with sith warrior yet but as far as I know I'm sure you can still get Vette when her character shows up in the chapters and then it is up to you to continue romance or not. Either way I'm pretty sure she will stay. However if you want to romance her you have to brake up with anyone else you are romancing to get back together. I think you can do this when you meet Vette and she will resume romance and then you get a breakup cutscene with either Theron or Lana. And if you want to romance Theron or Lana you do have to brake up with her but I'm pretty sure she stays as a companion. Ashara did for me and I kept romancing Theron and Ashara stayed with my alliance. So I don't see why it wouldn't be the same.
  4. Pretty sure they were redone sometime ago. Not sure when but I think around kotet came out. I remember looking at them back then.
  5. I'm saying this because I think there is fair criticisms to be had of the new update. If people like the update great but to me it was really disappointing. It felt more fanservice than real story progression. Really it is the same as the last chapter of KOTET only with different set design nothing new is added that is of any substance. It's also more of a Jedi Knight ending than any other class and I know people will say emperor is JK story but it went beyond that with the expansions and became the outlanders story no matter what class you were. Kotet fit the ending just fine not perfect sure but better than this. Bringing Revan back was also tiresome. I love him but let him rest. Vitiate is dug up to be killed again for absolutely no reason other than "go team go" power at the end. It made him feel very weak as a character compared to being a genuinely threat to all life as he did before. It was a childish "you pay for your crimes" gang up and "we have the force at our backs so we're better" it was silly. This being was the most evil and dangerous thing in the galaxy and I'm to believe it was all the magical power of teamwork destroyed him Which brings me to this point. It is all so rushed, maybe this could have worked if better executed. Characters just show up with out letting us know why or how. They become pointless cameos. At least give more explanation to it. I thought Vaylin was hinting at something when she said "I wouldn't be here if he hadn't dragged me along" The writers need to do better than that to explain why everyone shows up . They came just to kill the emperor is not good enough. It's lazy. We need more ,why was all the people he killed there are they memories or spirit etc Also extra characters that come with you. Kira and Scourge were adamant this was a bad idea. I took the risk and for what, nothing. There was no jeopardy, no consequence I was actually questioning should I bring them but nope it's fine. I thought it be interesting if one of them got Tenebrae's plague but nope not really a plague and no risk to any character either. My character really felt useless in this and took a huge step back to be honest, so passive didn't even get to make a fun darkside or lightside choice. Character's achievement of being the one to kill Tenebrae felt undermined too. It also ended abruptly would have been nice to talk to Kira and Scourge at the end or anything just not to end so flat. Also buggy but hey this is swtor, what is not buggy these days. There is more but the above are my main gripes. I do want to say there are things I liked about it. Loved Tenebrae's character design. Whoever did that got it right on the mark for me. Pretty cool. Liked talking with Satele at the end and music was nice and eerie in some scenes, it fit it well. But that is really it. I wanted to like this update but sadly couldn't .
  6. I don't mind Lana at all but I understand when other characters are not getting the same amount of love that people start getting upset. Honestly I think they should bring back the character conversations they use to have and work from there. If they had those I really won't mind the mix up of characters we tend to get for each new story arc.
  7. "Echoes of Oblivion Players who didn’t romance Theron Shan receive the Echoes of Oblivion Mission mail intended for players who are in a romance with him." So does anyone have the letter with non romanced alts. Do people know what it says.
  8. While I can understand with Kira I don't agree with that it should have been the same way for Lana and Theron. This blocks Empire and Republic players from having Lana and Theron and their romance as there is so few same-sex romances early on. Even now with add romances such as Jaesa and Arcann they are not fleshed out. Also considering a large amount of Lana's and Theron's relationship with people's characters mostly took place in the Alliance it does to me make sense that they are loyal to the Commander not their respective factions. Somethings go beyond ideology, people are more complicated and having Lana dedicated only to the Empire and Theron only to the Republic is boring and black and white storytelling.
  9. This is why I think they should bring back companion conversations for all companions romanced or not because while we are not getting much range in our choices for main storyline at least it will feel like the companions that are not part of that are still relevant to you're character. I do think they are trying to include other characters in main story line but are just short staffed. If they included companion conversation every now and then, I think it would be better than nothing.
  10. I haven't read the comic about Thanaton so I can only go from what the class story gives us. My understanding that as well as SI being Zash's apprentice and so must die etc. Thanaton is a zealot when it comes to Sith tradition and in Sith tradition slaves just don't become Sith let alone thrive in the order. Many Sith were forced to accept slaves becoming Sith and I think the codex says about slavery in the empire "the Sith Academy has started accepting slaves who show a strong affinity for the Force… though many still look on these former slaves with disdain." Thanaton like most Sith had slaves, Harken says he always passes over picking from the slave acolytes and at the end of class story after everything SI has accomplished and proved he or she is worth being a Lord of the Sith, Thanaton diminish that and refers to you as a slave to the Dark Council "I will not be betrayed I will not die and when I kill this slave you will all answer for it". Pretty much implying the corruption in the Sith order is you simply because you're of low origins and that Thanaton has issues with a slave's sudden rise to power going against his beloved tradition. The whole him wanting you dead for being Zash's apprentice to me is just cover for his true feelings. His hate is irrational (which is the nature of hate anyway) and if he was a slave himself perhaps he is projecting. If that is the case he could hate his own background , being a Sith who came from slavery and feel that he is part of the corruption to Sith tradition but to protect his own view of himself he seeks to destroy external representations (otherwise the SI) of that very thing he himself is. After all people often hate others for what they hate within themselves. Which unresolved leads to people seeking to destroying the thing they hate. That's my understanding of Thanaton's motivation.
  11. Ah so this is why I'm having so much trouble with the walkers. Haven't played the chapter since it launched thought I was going mad. Never met the bug before but I'm laughing as this bug is stopping a work around for another bug in Onslaught where I can't get Jakarro and go further in the game as it seems if you begin Onslaight with unfinished kotfe/kotet chapters you get this bug. Lovely one bug is stopping me from getting past another bug.
  12. Same problem. I also have kotet chapter in my mission log end times. Can't clear it as the damn walkers are giving me problems more than ever before I swear they are taking huge chucks of my health and I'm not doing a scratch on them, don't remember it being like this the first time I played that chapter. Either way can't progress because I can't just simply abandon mission, can't clear the mission and so Jakarro won't show up in Onslaught. My character can't progress. Thanks Bioware.
  13. I'm just now reminded of the Simspons where Homer is carrying Luke Skywalker out with "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. That's the scene we need
  14. If Koth carried my dark lord out princess style for everyone to see he might be the one getting a lightsaber to the back.
