  1. Darth Malgus server, tested on the Republic character Cassi Delight, lvl 75 Jedi Shadow. Not all legacy-bound currencies are available for any legacy character, i.e. are visible and usable. Only the Tech Fragments are shown on the "Currency" tab in the Inventory of all characters. Other currencies, like Gray Helix Components and Rakghoul DNA Canister are visible only for the character who obtained them. They have to be exchanged to tokens, tokens sent to another character and exchanged to currency again. This is not "Binds to Legacy" way contrary to description in the tooltip. How to reproduce: 1) Get some Rakghoul DNA Tokens as a reward for Rakghoul event missions. 2) Exchange them at proper NPC, like Captain Rizos Flautply on the Republic Fleet (Cartel Bazaar) to currency. 3) Note that you got the Rakghoul DNA Canisters in the Inventory, Currency tab. They are also shown as green (avaliable to trade) in the trader's dialog, so you can buy some items. 4) Switch to another character. You will not see these Canisters on the Currency tab and will not be able to buy items from this vendor. The same is for Gray Helix Components. Tech Fragments are shown and used properly (truly legacy-wide). All other legacy currencies should work the similar way. (As a quickfix, before the bug is completely fixed, you can remove the "Binds to Legacy" from the tooltips).
  2. I can confirm that the last method successively resolves this bug. 1) I completed (unexpectedly added) Chapter 1, I did it in Veteran mode, but it shouldn't matter; 2) I restarted Chapter X and skipped all intros until got a control; 3) Then I started again Chapter XI. After the first episode with skytroopers, Aric became my companion and I was able to continue and eventually complete this chapter. Please note that you should enter the personal area in the swamp, where the Vantage Point is located, together with Aric Jorgan. He cannot be found inside if you don't have him as a companion and enter alone. P.S. Even with a known way to circumvent this bug, its existence for so long time is abnormal.
  3. The behaviour of crashed droids on Ziost has changed: if they go into the self-destruction sequence, they don't give loot and experience. Before 5.2 they gave both, no matter how they were defeated. Now need to catch a right moment and stun them before self-destruction, which is quite non-trivial. This change is not reflected in patch notes, so I can only guess whether it was intended, or it's a side effect, or a bug.
  4. People may make mistakes in typing, but Shift+Click on the item may not. Shift+Click should always produce valid names for GTN search, but they don't. This is inexcusable!
  5. Yes, here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=914898 If someone will find more, please add to that list. How quickly the developers will fix, is another question.
  6. Still awfully bugged. The only two groups gave me a credit for this: one is on the left before the staircase to the tower (and it does work not every time) and another one is on the top area where a Sith chokes a civilian. So, my gunslinger had to patiently wait for the respawn of these groups of enemies and suffering civilians. It looks like other civilians don't suffer at all. Two years since and not fixed
  7. I haven't found this problem here, but if it exists, please give an example when the login is required second, third etc. time. Right now it's needed only in some sections in My Account, this is an additional protection of personal data. Let's suppose that you logged in on a publicly available PC, say, at work, and didn't log out. Then everyone who come to this PC will be able to see and even change or cancel (!) your subscription, buy or spend your Cartel Coins etc. Of course, second login must present in such areas. Outside of them, no additional login is needed.
  8. Yes, it would be better instead of removing them update the relics at least to IR 236. Of course, one relic per character. This would make sense for gathering these shards again, which are almost obsolete now. A bit more complex solution, but much fair: IR of the relic should correspond to character level. This means that it will be ~140 for lvl 50 and ~236 for lvl 70. We will need to upgrade it time to time, maybe in some different way, more suitable for chosen build. At least, it's interesting and funny.
  9. Added: Research & Development Droid - Data Crystal Exchange - Free Zone Black Market on Asylum
  10. Quick solution which should prevent mail spam from free accounts: 1) Unlimited letters only to yourself, to guild members and friends (who have added you to their lists) 2) Maximum 5 letters to other players per day. 3) No any letters to non-friends before level 10. Spammers will quickly realise that creating a new account and character, levelling to 10 and sending only 5 spam letters (with subsequent ban, of course) is too inefficient and time consuming. Long, but the best solution: need to add the self-learning spam filter to both chat and mail.
  11. Yes, it's very bad and very sad decision, but I hope that something still can be fixed. I have in the storage about 450 Ziost Memory Holographs (and continue to get them doing the Heroics missions on Ziost almost every day). But now they are almost useless: I already have one speeder and two decorations - all which is possible to buy for these tokens. No other decorations, mounts, equipment pieces. I suggest either restore the equipment vendor (adding the appropriate pieces and other goods for reasonable price) or, alternatively, make possible to exchange these Holographs to other currency; I would prefer the Unassembled Components, which are available now exclusively from PvP activities. But not everyone is an ardent PvP fan.
  12. I have this mishap too, thank you for a hint that it could happen in Section X. I also had Light V and suddenly found out that it has been reset to Neutral, about 23 February. But I noticed it only when I wasn't able to equip the LS lightsaber, missed the exact moment of reset and decided not to write a ticket :-( I am restoring it now, but slowly, because 70' characters cannot get the points through dialogues with companions or storyline decisions, now at LS two. Chances that support will restore alignment are close to zero, the only hope that they will fix the bug and my other characters will not suffer of it. I wouldn't like to paranoically check the alignment after every picking up a mission or entering a new zone.
  13. 1. Support of the window system is awful. Maybe initially when all windows were expected strictly rectangular, it worked more or less well. But now, with far more complex look of most windows, the engine isn't able to correctly render the mouse operations. For example, you might often see that click on the [x] area in attempt to close current window has no result; instead, the underlying window receives the click and may be activated. The top area of most windows, which allows to move the window on the screen, does not correlate to the visible shape of the window; some top areas may be "clickable through". Some windows have the logical size more than visible one and they can mask the active areas of other nearby windows. The fading of information windows (e.g. current guild controlling the planet) often fail, and they remain on the screen fully visible or semi-transparent. 2. The 3D perspective is distorted like through fisheye lens. You may not notice this on the small distances, but when you look at the distance about several hundred meters, it becomes noticeable. For example, on Tatooine, the visible size of Jawa balloon significantly depends on the viewing angle. It looks normal if the balloon is visible somewhere in the central area of the screen, but it becomes grow and distorted if you rotate the camera away toward the screen border. But the size of distant objects should not depend on the viewing angle at all. 3. Current engine doesn't support moving underwater. This is shameful nowadays in compare to other well-known MMOs like WoW or GW2, where the underwater areas are the integrated part of the world. As a result, map developers in SWTOR have to avoid creating the real water areas like seas, lakes or ponds. All visible reservoirs in the game are very shallow and have the flat bottom. Underwater episodes on Manaan are purely cinematic, underwater area in the Shroud of Memory mission is nothing but a normal area visibly filled with water, where we cannot move up or down (along Z axis) completely. 4. Characters cannot properly sit on the chairs or benches in the open world. It's possible to sit in the small closed instances like a personal starship. But you cannot sit on the stool in any cantina, which makes this furniture functionally useless. A group of people cannot sit around the table to rest and discuss something. Again, you can compare this to WoW.
  14. This is a quite hard task for a class without self-heal, like Vanguard. Here are some advices from my experience: 1. Don't stay inside the open arena where you are unprotected. Run into the corridor close to GNK medical droid, so you will have some time to look around and improve your position before the combat with next enemy. Use the walls and other obstacles to avoid the ranged attacks as possible. 2. The most harmful Heskal ability is Turbulence, it damaged my Vanguard by 23-24K. Avoiding this is hardly possible, so need to interrupt it ASAP. Don't waste interrupting abilities to prevent other attacks, when you can simply evade them running out of red circles. Vanguards can use Riot Strike in melee, Neural Surge and Cryo Grenade when nearby and Harpoon on shooting range. 3. Staying near GNK droid allows to restore some health during the pauses between the battles with illusionary enemies. Most of them are melee and should be killed from the distance. 4. Accepting of Valkorion help (after 2 rounds of battle) is highly advised. This will give you 3 additional abilities, one defensive (Shield) and 2 damaging. Try to use them all the time against Heskal, activating on cooldown. 5. You need to withstand the attacks, until Heskal becomes friendly (green). Even if you die at the last moment, you will be resurrected near GNK and can go to Heskal for talks. I hope this can help somehow not only to Vanguards.
  15. In other words, loot generator has the non-normal distribution (either because of poorly implemented RNG, or intentionally). I also strongly suspect this, because of very few pieces which I should get to complete the full sets (I gather all the sets) and still no luck; at the same time I quite often get 2 same pieces from 6-8 crates opened in line. Yes, it can be counted as an anecdotal evidence because I don't carry out these experiments with the same initial conditions and don't write the results. Sure, it's possible to do such experiments, even though it will be very time-consuming and tedious. And if we will open 100 crates, someone can always argue that it's statistically incorrect, need to open 10 times more. And if we open 1000 crates, one person may say that it's not yet enough... Well, let's suppose that we got enough data showing that RNG distribution is non-normal. What next? Me: BW, it's unfair! Please fix the wrong RNG. BW: We never promised to give you the strictly equal loot generator. It is random, it's enough. Me: But with current distribution I will be gathering all the pieces for centuries! BW: Players like the unpredictability and fun. We think that randomness is OK. If you dislike it, you are in minority, sorry for that.
  16. This is not exactly a bug, merely a design inconsistency: Some FPs have the clearly visible exit like a green portal to a phased area; Some FPs have a special exit object like a small column, e.g. on Rishi FPs; Some FPs don't have any of these, and players have to use the small Exit button on minimap UI. I slightly doubt that the developers will revise all currently existing FPs and implement one common rule for all of them, but there is a chance that new FPs will be more consistent.
  17. Please fix this mission, but not by the changing of the respawn time, is only a partial solution. Instead, I would like to ask the developers to transfer the whole underground area "Infested Excavation Site" to a phase for a single group of players doing this mission. Currently only a part of the area is phased (a room with the final boss of [Heroic 2+] Knight Fall). Changing the whole area, as almost all similar [Heroic 2+] missions located in the caves have, will solve the problem with respawn and waiting time once and forever. A few exceptions without a phase, like [Heroic 2+] Down the Hole on Tatooine, are significantly easier because of large amount of prerequisite NPCs. Please change the area of [Heroic 2+] Mutation mission to a phase!
  18. I think that developers should implement more harsh ways against the spam bots. Currently they are only squelched after some amount of reports (like 10), but anyway they don't get disconnected, they continue stay on fleet and nothing happens with their accounts. I suggest, instead of muting of a particular bot, make frozen a whole account for up to 2 days, until GM intervention, when GM will investigate the logs and ban them forever. With some intensive measures, the losses of spammers will be more than their possible profit (creating the instant 60 characters costs some CC, or lot of credits, or a subscriber account). Besides the block of account, blocking the appropriate IP subnet would be also a good idea. Of course, the e-mail address used for bot registration should also be blacklisted. Also developers may implement some anti-bot AI, using their typical behavioural pattern (it's known how they act on fleet). As I saw, even now the good players' reaction allows a bot to spam maximum twice before squelch. With some help of AI, they can be disconnected immediately after the first spamming attempt.
  19. Definitely this should be done at least in the end of July! I can suppose that content managers who are responsible for this information went on vacations. When they return, please update that page with upcoming September events, or publish the schedule somewhere in the patch notes or on this forum. Currently we can only guess what will come after the end of current bounty event.
  20. I can try to formulate this problem more generally: there are some missions [Heroic 4] which have to be done with a full group of 4 or at least 3 and 1 companion, because they contain some kind of puzzles. Currently these are the final macrobinocular missions, seeker droid missions and half-forgotten Colicoid War Game. All such missions should be queue-able via Group Finder. Maybe outside of daily / weekly bonuses, maybe in the separate section, but should be included anyway. Now all they are missed in GF, which makes the searching for allies too long, too boring and not always possible at all. Alternatively, these puzzles may be redesigned with common [Heroic 2+] approach.
  21. Thanks! Today I have found the Ancient Tome in the right dead end of corridor to GTN, after that I successfully finished the part 5 of Drellik's mission. Of course, it's a temporary solution until this bug is fixed, soon or later.
  22. Currently we can see the distance to a target only in the Target Frame: TARGET NAME Difficulty | Description | Distance However, the problem occurs when the description is too long, then the distance may be shifted to the right beyond the frame and becomes invisible: SKYTROOPER PRAETORIAN Champion | Skytrooper Commande... As you see in this example, the description "Skytrooper Commander" is so long that it has been shorted; as a result, there is no place for the distance at all. In fact, the incomplete description is not a big problem because it is shown in the large tooltip. But not the same for the distance! Possible solutions: a) Remove the description from the Target Frame. This will free the required space for the distance. b) Change the order of the info like this: TARGET NAME Difficulty | Distance | Description If the description is too long, it will be shown partially, but visible in the large tooltip anyway.
  23. I only can add that besides the long detection distance (stealth doesn't help at all), Ancient Threat literally devours the FPS: it drops from typical 60 to 1-2, which makes a character virtually non-controllable. I doubt that I would be able to fight this monster with such FPS even in a full 24-persons group. I didn't have the same problem anywhere else in SWTOR. Please fix this bug!
  24. This week, during the Rakghoul event, I tried several times to get at least one Barnacle, participating in the event ops. Hopelessly. All the times, the ops leader assigned the whole Barnacles (4 or 8) to himself using the Master Looter. And it's hardly a coincidence that on fleet some people tried to sell this item for ~600K credits. Something is definitely wrong here... My suggestion: Master Looter should not be activated solely by a will of ops leader. To enable this option, leader should use the voting system after the entering in the ops area, and not less than a half of members should agree. Personally I would prefer the full consensus, i.e. even a single vote against ML should disable it. Please understand me right: I am not against the idea of Master Looter itself. Especially when the leader is a trusted and respectable person, and the most or all group members are the guildmates. In such situation, people will vote "yes" without doubts and nobody will object. But in PUGs, the situation when leader is a ninja looter, occurs quite often. Too often in some cases. And if you don't fully trust, you should be able to vote against ML. If the leader will insist that all must agree, then it's time to quit this group and find another one.
  25. I think that it's not the main way to prevent or significantly reduce the spam. Better to implement the "consensual muting". This means, when several people (say, 10) do spam report someone, that person becomes muted, i.e. disconnected from the chat, until the admin intervention and ban. Of course, the reports should be responsible: if you misreport people more than a couple of times, you can be temporarily banned for a few days. Why a couple of times? Current reporting system is far from perfect, because you don't have an option to confirm a report in a separate UI, hence, you can simply make a mistake by clicking a wrong line and report an honest person. This is not hard to improve and add the confirmation window, if developers really want to get some help from us.
