  1. I don't want an IWIN button for mara I just want to be able to make the most of my 4.5s window that the whole spec revolves around. It's RNG dependent at the minute and as we all know that can be 50 Ataru form hits or 1. This will merely enable us to time our burst and understand when it is available because at the minute I get 1/10 ravage's off in an arena and I can no longer hold off for massacre because frankly the skill of other players means a GCD is the difference between life or death.

     

    BUT please no CC immunity. That will make us gods inside a warzone and we don't need that.

    Each stack of execute now additionally increases the critical chance of Force Scream by [50 / 100]%.

     

    I personally think that making us immune to CC interrupts during a gore window would be far too powerful. With a Berserk proc I can hit anyone in full PVP gear for about 70-90% of his HP within one gore window. Having no counter to this would be game breaking.

     

    We just need to be able to understand the timing of our burst a little easier. I don't want to wait on a gore window for an execute proc, because I've just waiting for Ravage to come off CD too. I can either waste a gore window or wait for the proc.

  3. Sentinels/Mara's are in a bad place for solo ranked at the minute. The CC and roots make is very difficult to stay in meele range and I've seen a lot of sins taking the purge on speed like sage/sorcs for ranked. Basically destroying our middle tree and the hardest hitting ability, so much so that the first attack after a gore from myself is a scream rather than ravage. At least now I'm getting one ability in the window rather than half a ravage.

     

    Here's what I think could work.

     

    Change Execute to:

     

    Your Ataru Form hits have a [30 / 60]% chance to grant a stack of Execute, which at 2 stacks makes your next Force Scream deal 10% more damage.

     

    Change Massacre to:

     

    Strikes the target with both weapons for 640 - 770 weapon damage granting one stack of execute and automatically triggers an Ataru Form strike, bypassing Ataru Form's rate limit. For 6 seconds after using Massacre, your Ataru Form has an extra 30% chance to be triggered. Requires two lightsabers.

     

    2 hits of massacre for an execute proc would take away the RNG aspect of the build and GREATLY improve QOL.

  4. I enjoy solo ranked so much now. Thank you so much for the daily/weekly. It was just what the ranked PVP players needed. We needed that extra push to put is in the Q that we already sit in 24-7. So thanks for that :rak_01:

     

    I forgot to mention. GIVING REGULAR WARZONE COMMS FOR RANKED DAILY/WEEKLY IS JUST RETARDED. ZOMG.

  5. So daily/weekly has KILLED YOLO ranked. KILLED IT. No not killed the pops. Killed the skill previously found in there. I mean I now see guys I didn't even see in pre-season farming.

     

    One operative healer with 28k health said and I quote: "I pay, I play." Oh and "Newly dinged here." People are hitting 55 or just picking up the daily and jumping into the Q.

     

    Ranked wzs should be where the elite compete. They aren't anymore.

  6. I'm a new player and still just doing War zones.

     

    ED is a must have with the amount of range in the game now. Juggs have a lot of tools but the one thing they have been missing is a way to stay alive while trying to do any type of push.

     

    How many times do you read, your class is not meant to be in the front you need to stay behind your melee classes and position yourself to get your abilities off.

     

    We need classes like PTs Juggs marauders to be viable in WZs or it will just be a straight up camp fest. Anyone who dares to venture forward will be melted and stoned to death.

     

    Hutball 1 range stays on the elevated platforms

    Hutball 2 range stays on the elevated platforms and pipe

    Void star range stays behind the pillars and melts anyone going for the door. Pillar jumping

    Hyper gate range stays at the far side an runs back when focused

     

    Point is this last patch really put some nice changes in for range classes and the amount of them has exploded in warzones. We still need viable " Non Stealth" classes or it will be just a bunch of guys standing around doing nothing but trying to score high dps.

     

    To me Operatives, mercs and maraduers need something to stay alive a bit longer, for the most part the rest of the pack is pretty well balanced.

     

    Like I said I'm new so my post might well be crap and I need to L2p but this is just my opinion.

  7. The only cases where ED is OP:

     

    1 V 1, suck it up sins have held this crown long enough and still do. Skilled sin > skilled jugg. Skilled jug > average sin.

     

    4 DPS vs 4 DPS where a skankhealer is present. The Jugg can now switch to guard the healer and have a monster self heal while putting out nice DPS.

     

    Sure 4 juggs in solo ranked will probably win. But so would 4 of any other class. You ever been against 4 sins or even 4 sorcs? That hurts. Juggs are just in a place now where they aren't useless.

     

    If the game is balanced around NiM PVE {{AND}} TEAM RANKED then I think the jugg is in the right place. Team ranked has far too much guard switching and competent healers AND smart CC AND burst DPS for ED to be a game changer.

  8. Imo pvp players have gone down in quality. Last year when I hit 55 on my Sorc, I was getting murdered nonstop to the point of self-parody. I kind of just stopped and vendored my pvp gear, deciding I was done with being facerolled. Well my buddy talked me into running some warzones with him, and I was killing with ease and rarely dying. Either I got much better (doubtful) or the talent pool got weaker.

  9. Look on my screenshots. There similar picture:

     

    One team with 3 dps and 1 crappy tank try kill guarded healer with tank support while 2 dps from other team focus fire one of dps from other team. Whats TTK will be less?

     

    Simple answer: 2 dps pretty fast can kill 1 dps while 3 dps try kill tank with guarded healer. End of story.

     

    1 tank + 3 dps <<< 1 tank + 1 healer + 2 dps

    2 tanks + 2 dps <<<<<<<< 2 tanks + 1 healer + 1 dps

    4 dps < 3 dps + 1 healer

     

    Why don't you focus on the unguarded target and cc the healer? Or do you want to just derpderpderp global in every areana. Look forward to /dancing over you later this evening.

  10. :mad::mad:Cheater all around . warzone speed hacker. Immortal enemy : no matter how may hits it takes it just wont have any blood drop in starfighter. And those cheater keep jumping and jumping that u never can lock it to fire your missile. This game is going to die if BIO you are still just sitting there and do nothing about it as players will leave this game because of those cheaters !!!

     

    You're the guy I jump over on my sin while he keyboard turns and tries to click me watching his health vanish aren't you?

  11. Ranked PVP on TOFN pops every 5minutes or so on the empire side thanks mainly to Vis Fatalis and Ayuri having a number of people in the Q at all times. Republic pops are a little less frequent and certain players put others off actually Q'ing. There are one or two rep Sage's that stand still the whole game spamming TK and bubble on first contact, now I'm not suggesting they're bots or doing anything wrong. They're just not quite at the skill level you want to see in ranked.

     

    Ranked PVP needs to be encouraged and promoted and I think the daily/weekly is a great move. However the stigma and elitist nature that comes with ranked is detrimental to progress of ranked PVP on any server. I personally love arena play style despite the fact I'm an average player at best.

     

    At the moment you have people in ranked that you've never seen there before because during season time they don't want to destroy some elitists rating. Or, be raged at for not using a grenade at the right time and costing someone 15 ELO.

     

    Having <rated>(ELO) and <ranked> Q's would be awesome in so many ways. Both reward ranked comms, one effects ELO the other doesn't. Here are some obvious benefits I can see:

     

    • Casuals can complete daily/weekly and farm ranked comms to get gear appropriate for rated arenas.
    • Teams that are developed in season can practice in an enviroment that will not destroy ELO. Indeed two teams from the same guild can practice setups etc. At the moment there is no area in the game where two teams of 4 from the same can practice other than ranked arenas. Or leaving guild and rejoining.
    • Elitists and hardcore players can farm ELO between themeslevs.

     

    Queue times may be increased for <rated> but <ranked> would pop at the same rate as regs maybe even more. If you ask any hardcore PVP player at the moment as soon as the have one or two games with the same bad players they do regulars for a time as they don't want to lose ELO. Thus it may have the opposite effect of more elite PVP players going in the Q more often because they're not scared of some bad destroying their ELO.

  12. In terms of reusable PVP medpacs/adrenal I think this would be a terrible idea. I level through PVP and while it takes a long time and the credits are poor the only thing that enables me to afford skills and MK-9 come 55 is selling medpacs/adrenals for 40-70k per stack. 99% of these trades are to 55 toons who play ranked, it would be a double edged sword. Although I would LOVE a reusable stim. I don't think it's a wise idea.

     

    Ship droid customisation would be a great idea. Maybe a rancor customisation....

     

    Other than that why not create a PVP lounge on fleet, whereby all participants of S2 can go to. Have terminals in there and most importantly. A DUELLING AREA. This would be jam packed and boy everyone would play 10games to get a rating so they could go to the boom boom room.

  13. I think the season one rewards were pretty epic and once they were announced the ranked Q's on TOFN were popping every 5-15 minutes and are still going off now.

     

    Putting the awards out there at the start of the season would be more powerful for pops than the dailies/weeklies you have suggested :) Both combined will be pretty epic.

     

    Tier 1: 1700+

    Mount. PVP players usually stand around the combat training area of fleet, seeing someone on a rancor brings about a certain amount of mutual respect. I have NO idea what this mount should be. Perhaps something more like the Titan-6 rather than an animal mount. Girrada's war machine with the player inside a humanoid suit perhaps. Rocket boot mounts would be cool, but again I think these belong on the CM rather than as a reward.

     

    Tier 2: 1400+

    Armor. REALLY tricky to get right, after all a nice armour set with lore will be prime for the CM. So it should be. But having something rare/unique to PVP would also be nice. Perhaps go *basic* and have a stripped down version of what we expect the advanced class to actually look like. Traditional jedi/sith gear. IF you decide to put a recolour on the CM that's fine, BUT please make sure the reward gear comes already augmented with MK-9 slots. PVP doesn't provide much in terms of credits and I personally can't afford to use the S1 reward gear :( After all you know anyone with this rating already has MK-9 gear.

     

    Tier 3: 1100+

    Weapon + pet. Weapons are a lot harder to notice than armour and as such I think it should be in a lower tier than armour. Weapons with a theme based around the current season would be a good idea, at the moment the story in SWTOR is that of a post Makeb war on home worlds. Maybe have Isotope-5 weapons with a cool glow to them. Again these should have MK-9 slots.

  14. So I've been looking over the tool-tips in more detail today of all my toons.

     

    I noticed the following:

     

    TANK SIN : 158 RATING

    HEAD: 513 ARMOR

    CHEST: 513 ARMOR

    HANDS: 321 ARMOR

    WAIST: 321 ARMOR

    WRIST: 321 ARMOR

    LEGS: 513 ARMOR

    FEET: 321 ARMOR

     

    Why is the armor for hands/feet the same as wrist and waist rather than chest/head/legs? This isn't game breaking as it applies to everyone[i checked on my scoundrel and sentinel], but surely this isn't working as intended :rak_02:

  16. I have a few ideas that could drastically improve the ranked/PVP scene in this game. None will be implemented by the small PVP team behind SWTOR. They're just my thoughts and I feel better for putting them out there.

     

    Hybrids are really annoying. Coming from someone with a 1503 rating Sage healer, I'm one of those who realised this was an easy ticket to 1500. All you had to do was Q when a couple of known hybrid sage's on your server were offline and you would more than likely be a healer in a 4 DPS vs 4 DPS game. This could be fixed in numerous ways but the most logical way would be to require 36 points in any one tree for ranked. After all numerous times we've been told that viable hybrid spec's aren't intended.

     

    3 v 4 / 2 v 4 and sometimes 1 v 4. If a match starts with 4 players of either team not actually leaving the spawn zone no rating should be gained or lost. Simple and easy fix, should someone leave or dc then sadly all rating changes should apply to stop this being gamed.

     

    The rewards should be announced much earlier in the season as this will both encourage a longer participation and stop the huge amount of bads thinking they can stroll to a 1500 rating.

     

    Initial ranking and scoring is a complete and utter joke. There are numerous articles and white papers on how to implement initial ELO scores, quite frankly you got this VERY wrong. Heck start at StackOverflow or Google, they'll give you a better idea as to why a 10-10 record shouldn't be scores as both 1150 and 1400 regardless of who you play.

     

    ELO gained/lost. Take a look at the Bayesian ELO rating and proceed to bang your head off a table when you realise how prehistoric you've been scoring games.

     

    PLEASE GEARCHECK. Augments are a little tricky, I mean we shouldn't punish players running blue augments or none at all because they can't afford the items. However, running 78 or anything less than 2018 expertise is unacceptable. Running conq gear when Berserker gear is out isn't a breaking issue, sure no one will want that guy but **** happens. One way to do this would be to lock in gear upon Q and not allow a Q unless you have 2018 expertise. That leads me to.....

     

    You can't respec while in a Q so please have a gear lock for ranked. This will stop some classes switching to a 42k tank when they see they have a healer in their team. Any gear changes will take you out of the Q.

     

    Put a FREAKING VENDOR inside, have this vendor sell stims and wz adrenal/medpac. It's easy to forget these.

     

    Lastly, no team should lose to a stealth in a sudden death round but they have a huge advantage here. That and it wastes everyone's time. When acid comes in to play, no one should be able to cloak or stay in stealth.

     

    2.7 has some nice balance changes coming and I think season two has potential but a few more minor changes could really turn ranked into something.

  17. First of all, such old thread. Second of all, VEKTOR top ranked arena/wz guild? Tattoo Inn and VEKTOR? Not Ad Victoriam, MVPs and Galactics, but VEKTOR? VEKTOR?

     

    First of all, 'wz guild' would more than likely imply that OP was looking for PVP guild. Second of all, I mention guilds that you see steamrolling regualr wzs.

     

    My condolences if I managed to offend you in anyway by implying that PVP extends beyond ranked arenas. ;)
