I ran a Carnage spec leveling and at 50. I liked it, but there were times it was harder to close on a ranged character because of their ranged slows/knockbacks. I've been running Rage lately and Force Crush has made keeping opponents close a lot easier since it's not a channel and ranged. Pros for Rage IMO: 1. 20% passive armor pen 2. 2% added damage reduction from defensive forms and then another 2% from Undying 3. A 10% self heal every minute 4. Obliterate jumps to the target helping keep opponents close, then a 40% movement increase for 5 seconds AND makes the next Smash within 15 seconds a guaranteed crit. 5. Rotation is easier to manage than Carnage 6. A lot of critcal chance and damage increases. 7. All movement impairing attacks cost 1 less rage. 8. A lot of synergy between skills through the talent tree. Cons: 1. Lower burst than Carnage 2. Have to manage rage a bit closer than Carnage
