  1. What I'd really like to see added is some basic API for game information like character stats, achievements, etc.
  2. This has probably been requested many times before, but I couldn't find any posts. Why not allow old armor sets to be dyed? You can actually preview dyes on old armor sets in the preview window, but the armor pieces don't have dye slots and the outfitter will just say the item does not support dye modules. If it renders in the preview window, I'm sure these old items actually are compatible with dyes. I'm just a little confused about why this restriction exists.
  3. Somewhat related, because it's considered a veteran flashpoint I thought I wouldn't be able to solo it, but it is really easy to solo the whole thing, optional bosses and all. Just throwing that out there for anyone who didn't know, since I grinded all the way to Champion on the story missions alone.
  4. Yeah, I'd really like the option to have something on my nameplate in place of guild heraldry, since most of my characters aren't going to be in a guild and only having a flair looks sort of lopsided. I think legacy heraldry could be a good solution.
  5. Shouldn't cost a penny to delete a toon and make a new one, since you free up a slot by deleting it first.
  6. Oh. Then I'd have to agree with the others on this thread, this can really just best be accomplished by deleting your character and creating a new one. Transfer credits and items to an alt, although losing certain pets and vehicles might be a loss.
  7. If the issue is wanting to refamiliarize yourself with a character, and the main concern here seems to be about changing choices, why not just create a system like KOTFE/KOTET where you can replay the class missions and story, but the choices you make aren't recorded for the subsequent playthroughs? Or a system where you can replay the class missions and story, but the choices you made in the first playthrough are automatically chosen. I also like the journal idea, since I have nearly no idea what meaningful or impactful decisions most of my characters have made.
  8. I think there should also be some restrictions on activation and duration, maybe upgradable by tiers like rocket boost. Nerf it a little bit, otherwise I'll just end up stealthing through everything on every character.
  9. Yeah, that's fair. When the question first came to mind, I couldn't remember seeing any sort of guards in the senate building at all, so I went there to look. That's when I noticed the CS guards, but their uniform is so bland they sort of just fade into the background, which is why I didn't remember them. On the other hand, the dark honor guards on Korriban are hard to forget due to their striking appearance and how they kneel when the player passes by after a certain point in the story. Of course, it's a decision to not have the mirrored reflection of ceremonial guards between Republic and Empire, likely commenting on the Empire's vanity, value of tradition, subservience, and surveillance/security theater, but I think it could have also been a good decision and provided more commentary to have included the senate guards, showing some vanity and traditionalism within the higher political classes of the Republic, but confining them to the senate building and not having them kneel before anyone, showing how these values are present but more restrained in the Republic. Either way, I do like the inclusion of Coruscant Security across the planet, but I just wish they would have stood out a little more to make the player more readily identify the connection between their presence and increased security measures after the sacking of Coruscant. I think senate guards would have also been a minor contribution to that theme.
  10. Something I always felt was missing from the senate building on Coruscant is ceremonial guards. The Empire has its dark honor guard stationed around the galaxy, which feels thematically correct, but I think a nice contrast would be ceremonial senate guards who would only be found in the senate building as protectors of democracy. The guards on Korriban bow before every Sith that passes in front of them, but the senate guards would stand resolute in front of citizen and politician alike. Are there any lore reasons we wouldn't find blue, ceremonial senate guards in the Old Republic like we see in the prequels and CW? I found this statement on the legends page for senate guard on the Star Wars wiki:
  11. On the bright side, if anyone has lost their starter armor and really wants it back, I just made a ticket for the lost armor and customer support got it to me in under 15 minutes. At least that's an option, for anyone who didn't know.
  12. Yeah, I think it would be a good idea for the starter armor to be added to the armor vendors on starter worlds. It doesn't make much sense for the armor to be trash loot, it just causes most people to lose their starter armor, never realizing it gets sold when they sell all junk. Alternatively, they could just add new armor that matches the appearance of the starter armor. This may only be relevant for the trooper's standard-issue gear, I'm not sure any of the other classes' starter gear really stands out much.
  13. I will entertain your opinion and reframe the issue: the remaining variations of world drops that aren't included in the adaptive gear vendor should be turned into adaptive gear and added to the vendor. Alternatively, because there's already a lot of gear in the adaptive gear vendor, it should be added to the specialty goods vendors on the planet the world drop it's based on is from.
  14. They're based on world drops, but are fundamentally different from the world drops you get from actual loot drops. If you're suggesting this is the solution, the adaptive gear vendor, then specialty goods vendors and old world drops should be removed from the game. I think this is silly, because they're not the same armor.
  15. I'm assuming you're talking about the adaptive gear vendor? Those aren't world drops.
