  1. yes , it is indeed "missing in action", which I returned to,because I could not get through it when I was at lower level, earlier in my career. I will mention only this only once, about maintenance, I thought this was a European Server like Blizzard, which seemed to be based in EU I believe. Now I can guess why the support is not in-world, and customer service is , as, with most USA based ticket systems, your just a number, not a person. Hasn't EA learn't anything about customer relations after the stunning fail of Sim City? Ok here goes, I last visited Nar Shadaa at around level 27-28, before, not being able to finish the above mission, I continued my story line to Alderaan & Tatooine. As I said my present level is now 32. Like to begin with telling you what I use now, that I feel is the best combo to me for groups of enemies. yes, My main strike to get enemy's on the ground is the Mortar Volley, Unfortunately I have only level 4 of this, level 5 of mortar strike is 8000 credits, and I only have 75 left, so Im stuck at upgrading any of my main weapon skills, until such time, I find a way of increasing my credits. I have full auto, But its very weak, only the main rifle blast does any real damage. Hmm, Sticky grenades I stopped using, as had not much effect, but they are at rather a low level still. Explosive Surge I actually found very useful in Taris, defeating groups of rakhouls with just 5 blasts of it, But, since moving on, there effectiveness has been poor of late. Explosive rounds arent as effective at this level anyway. I dont really understand the iron cell technology, it never does anything when pressed, other than load my rifle , that does not appear to increase damage. I use the reactive shield, ok I use Most of the other skills, Shockstrike I use on the last group member, which is usually the Commando, by firing my harpoon at him, bringing him closer to deal damge to him within range While Elara finishes of the 4 guards, But as I say, since the patch yesterday, she also is defeated much quicker, how ever, I took away her offhand thing, because I really dont know what to put there, except generators or shield, But which type Im at a loss. To cut down this message a bit, the crew skills I quickly go through, well, mine differ slighty for what you say, I have Biochem & Bio analysis , But have scavenging as third skill, to pick up junk metal to sell. I haven't come across Diplomacy before, although it sounds more like a skill for diplomatic missions???? yes, I am also on Tomb of Freedon Nadd Reverse engineering seems advanced, But I will take time out to try and learn about it, and all these colour crystals. I often send Aric out, the large droid, or C2N2 to go on bio missions, but some cost 200 credits to do, and somewhere along my career I am not making enough credits to make ends meet. I have 720 Cartel coins, but I know on Utube some players use these to buy certain packs that maybe contain rare items, but as a budding trooper, still only 4 months into game, Im not confident enough to spend real money coins on something I may not be able to use. Planetary commendations, I gave up turning in after Taris, In Coroscant , I get offered much lower items than what I buy from The GTM place. At the republic fleet, I dont get any better, and most of the vendors seem to sell only to level 50's. To cap, I have active: Mortar volley rank 4 Full auto rank 6 explosive round rank 7 Shock strike rank 7 Harpoon Hi impact Bolt rank 5 Explosive surge Sonic Round reactive Shield ------------------------------------ Inactive: Hammer strike Riot strike Neural Jolt Ion Pulse rank 4 Fortification Heroic No retreat Plasma cell Pulse cannon Sticky grenade rank 4 iron cell ---------------------------------------- Main hand Recon Carbine offhand Efficay generator rating 62 lvl 26 Elara: has her own upgraded blaster that she had when she was assigned to Havoc squad in Taris, Thats lvl 24, but havent found anything better for her I can afford. Offhand, she has empty slot, because I havent noticed any improvements using any shield or generator, so I sold it because I was out of credits to get a taxi once again. doh! To be quite honest, I started A Jedi Consular a month ago, at level 4, I had her up to 19 within a matter of 6 days, she actually Out perform's my lvl 32 Trooper even in war zones by 50%. How can a Jedi Sage of lvl 19, have better protection, powers, and higher healing powers of a level 32 trooper?? its another imbalance I find hard to understand?? Seems to me, no wonder there are so many Siths out there wreaking havoc with throat holds in the air for almost 20 seconds!!! Looks like its back to the School room for me. "I would be pleased to be your so called apprentice" in The server we both in. Not sure what General Garza would think, she thinks im god ! hahaha:) Its quite frustrating, because I fight hard and play hard, and never back away from an enemy, I have always been one who brings the fight to the enemy, not the other way round. I never give up a mission, I keep at it, BUT without credits, I am sometimes stuck in a planet with fleet pass already in cool down, meaning I have to log out, and use fleet pass next day to try get somewhere to earn a handful of credits. 2. To SpoeMeister: Only Just saw your very informative post, a lot to take in for a 62 year old Youngster hahahahaha:D Once I read it all, I will reply, and thank you for taking the time to type all that out, much appreciated
  3. Hi Guys, thanks for your comments. I happened upon some utube Video's while away, and found a couple of interesting things that I didnt know about too. One was, that you could expand the Bars at the bottom, I only been using maybe three quarters of my skills, cos they are on slot two, which is a pain to access, in a hurry, ending up clicking slot 6 LOL. On matter of being weaker, no, my skill tree is still active, ironic that I just put a point on "rebraced Armour" just before too. No I never let my armour get let less than 90/120 damaged, before I get it fully restored, on this occasion, I only suffered the two defeats, which before the patch, the litter droid would have ignored me? Confused? I have no idea why the medic droid charged me 2000 credits for repairs of 30%. No, there was no improvements , in fact entering into a Warzone, which I do several times a day, before Logging out, for the first time, I had no kills to my name, 11 deaths, and came last from bottom. But then my fellow group members are lvl 45 or 50? Most of the enemy was way above lvl 39. As far as maintenance, in UK 2pm in the afternoon is peak timing, because of no jobs, millions of our population is not working for one reason or another, more uk people play in daytime afternoons now. Tatile thanks for advice, But I do use Elara a lot of the time, because she can heal me or a group I may join, But her armour is falling away, and is stuck at around lvl 24 because I just dont have the credits to go shopping, as i speak i have 75 left:( The reason Aric is with me, is because this mission requires Aric Jordan to be present to do the mission which revolves around some cell blocks. So Elara has to be dismissed on this occasion. Im not aware that a revisit to a Bioware trainer was part of my crew skills.? The only trainer I ever visit is my Trooper Skills trainer, I know nothing of re visiting other trainers, I will have to look into that, and thanks for that tip. Arutar: I really dont know how you get through 5-6 hours fighting in Alderaan or tatooine without using medpacks, by daily usage is around 15. 6 of those are used up in Warzone fighting, the other 8 are used to try to heal me before getting defeated, but usually fail, and they only have one fight use, so if Im escorting a family to a Drop ship point, fighting 5 groups of commanders, I get through 6 medpacks trying to get past the first 4 sets of enemy's, The last medpack, is not enough to hold off the other 3 groups on the path further along, and without anymore I just lose, and the mission resets itself, meaning I have lost all my medpacks for nothing, and as I get no reward for getting to the drop ship point, Im out of credits by that time. I have only found 5 medpacks on bodies since January, when I started playing. Lucky if I find 1 medpack a week! yes, I do recharge myself, if possible, but, sometimes, there is so many nearby enemies, under the short time stealth is granted, im still to close, when im recharging, that I am promptly taken out again, and thats whats making my game a frustrating chore instead of making any progress. re-usable medpacks I have no knowledge off. I wish there were Inworld Mods to help like in WoW, they were brilliant at helping newcomers from getting stuck to getting logged out, from just general problems with how to go about things. here, All I get is an automated message in my main Email Address, which I only access twice a day. There seems to be no reply from a mod within the game? On matter of Bio matter, I can't access any of it on Tatooine or Alderaan, because it says I lack the skill level to harvest it I dont really want to go PVE, as a battlefield p4F player, in tank and infrantry battles, once becoming an admin on it,and had own server, I like PVP, What I am saying is, that balance of levels needs restoring in Warzones, and Corpse killing/ camping made illegal game play, because that's harassment, when you are not being allowed to go about your business on missions, without being harassed unfairly. In fact i may submit a ticket on this subject, because when ever I am in tatooine, many other players get really P^^^^^ off with this problem which should be clamped down on ASAP. Thanks again "I have a bad feeling about this!"
  4. greetings: After playing this game as subbed since January 2013, I now can give an informative review on SWTOR. Unfortunately, There are some basic grumbles, and some more concerning ones , which will decide if i stay with SWTOR. I will attempt to deal with some issues one at a time: 1. This is an important one: (BTW I am Level 32 Vanguard trooper ) After yesterdays maintenance, I quickly finished of a small mission end to level up to 32. However, returning to Nar Shaddaa to walk through previous old ground To do with Arics "missing in action" in cell blocks, I passed by One Litter Droid and 4 lowly Guards, which usually Are just a nuisance as I pass into another area. But this time, I found I had lost about 30% of my armour and power, or they had been upped by 30% because, despite even upping Aric's Armour more, just before hand, this group in 3 minuets, had defeated me, which dont make sense. After doing a medic on the spot ,we continued on, and avoided most, until turned a corner, and got attacked again by another set of 4 guards and a litter Droid, The same happened again, defeated. I then returned to a Medic Droid for a top up of 25% armour lost from what I was wearing, and was astounded the Medic Took a staggering 2000 Credits, just to repair the small amount of damage, leaving me with not even enough credits to get a taxi. I had used all my regulation med packs, trying to defeat these small groups, that I defeated quite normally at level 25. The items recovered from bodies and droids, are only worth about 30 credits each, how in hell you supposed to get enough in only two skirmishes to pay the med Droid 2000Credits for a minor repair makes it look like the Devs have not got there Logistics right. 2. Why does there have to be game maintenance at peak times of 2pm instead of between midnight-4Am like other games. 3. Warzones I have stopped playing, because there is great unfairness, in the mix of charactor levels, and lower level charactors, get an unfair score, which is mosty down the bottom. In fact not one cup have I have won, since I been playing them. In WoW "capture the flag missions, everybody was in a level bracket, so level 29-33 was what your group consisted off. here, I was astounded to be beaten by a lvl 50 Sith, which , to my mind should not be pitted against people of my level. IN WoW, I put a lot of effort into what i did, and usually came third fourth, or occasionally 1st. But here, Im constantly at the bottom. because my group members are much higher than me, with more skills more armour more of everything, meaning I will never compete for the number 1 spot at level 32. 3. One of my main complaints of this game, is that Bioware haven't made Corpse camping or Spawn killing illegal. In Tatooine, Im continually having to leave missions and not finish them, because level 55 PVP siths, camp out at small outposts, and corpse kill, not once, but over and over, until you have used all your credits on med packs or paying the droid maybe a kilometer away. many games I have played before, and WW2 online ones, make corpse killing illegal game play, meaning you can report a player for camping at re spawn points. I dont know why Bioware allows this, as I know several people who have to abandon tatooine, because they are unable to heal, to continue therre missions, and like mine, tatooine is part of my story line, meaning I have to go there. I would certainly like to see a rule, that forbids camping spawing areas, This to me, is very important, as to wether I continue to play and sub here. 4. I make med packs Which I sometimes give to my friends, or sell a job lot on the GTM, But the only med pack's Im able to make is Compact ones, Once I get missions In Alderaan and Tatooine, Compact med packs are totally useless, and I have to continually Buy expensive regulation ones, at a medic droid, which outstrips my income of credits in no Time. So , if anybody knows how to make higher level Med packs than compacts, using Bio-anylsis & Bio Chem, using Goo, But had to sell all my Goo, to get enough credits to pay a taxi back to a space port. In closing, the Logistics of this game, seem to be out of balance in many ways, Im not lazy, I send out on gathering missions three of my companions, I Upgrade my armour each level up, mosty all premium and occasionally A Prototype item. I do try to sell surplus items on GTM, not only to help others get affordable stuff, but for me to make a few credits, But as I say, since yesterdays patch, I really don't know where Im going to find the credits to pay the medic droid 2000credits each time. or afford three trauma packs at 700 credits each. I dont want leave this game, but there are many unfair advantages that only level 50 players seem to enjoy, and I feel like a second class player because of that. Useful comments welcome of course, and constructive solutions.
  5. I would go on another server, But I can't as, I am on the "Tomb of Freedon Nadd " one, and I have already got a lady friend of mine in UK the game, and im teaching her the ropes, as shes just started, so I dont want to confuse her any more then I have to, by telling her to go to another server at this time. Just hope it dont last long.
  6. Of course this a typical result, for almost any online game that has a major update, or added content like "Rise of the Cartel Hutt" which I am on now. Same as most of you, cant get past Character screen, in one of the servers mentioned in Devs brief, but whats rather unsettling is they have no idea when they going to be available again?
  7. Doh! Well, liked This new game so much, pre ordered it a while ago, it took ages to patch, which made me feel like It was being installed, this morning, and in world, found my skill points refunded, Went to ship, eagerly found Makeb, then found It is a level 50 Planet I didnt know When I started Star wars, that The Hutt Cartel expansion pack was for players of lvl 50 or over. I am only level 29, so a long way to go before I can do anything there. Wether Im allowed to Visit the planet, to have a nose round Im not sure. At least get some XP for exploring, but would die real fast if I tried any missions LOL Oh well, better get back to finally getting to lvl 30 ... Alice
  8. Hi there! Although still fairly new to SWTOR, Like many I already understood most of the interface from WoW. But that is where the similarity stops, This is a whole new ball game and I still think Its an awesome game, for the reasonable price of Subbing to it. Some points to make. I too, had some problems working out, how to put companions upgrades on, in fact I didn't even notice the Window next to my charactor, which said companion, mainly because at first, its quite a steep learning curve, with many aspects of your character you are almost multi tasking at first. Actually, Now I am level 29 nearly 30 Trooper, Im loving Multi tasking in game, I have Elara as my main companion, I upgrade her armour & weapons as regular as my credits and commendations will allow, She can take care of herself on her own, at lvl 29 in Nar Shadaa, while I get on with finding objects. Although At first your companion has Armour and stuff that says, "needs Elara or Aric", It is best to keep to what they have on for a good few levels, because They have quite good and high levels of both. But as you progress, when you find your companion's life is starting to show signs of weakening, its time to upgrade her/him, as you would yourself. Always make some notes on the side, to What class armour and weapon she/he can use. Make sure you try and upgrade armour all the same time if possible, its easy to forget, like hands (gloves) are as important as any other armour, you may find, if you forget to check often, that you may be at level 25, But the gloves, are still rated at level 19, those 6 points dont seem much, but with the right gloves, you could find and increase of +30 in armour or endurance with some lesser + for aim or something else. As I have travelled the paths of Corascant, Ord mantell, Nar Shadaa, and now Tatooine, its useful to know, the best place to purchase stuff. In an order, I put ordinary vendors as only selling low level armour and stuff, Apart from medic droids, that, depending what planet your fighting in, allow you better med packs. next comes Commendation vendors, Most of them are found At the "Fleet". After that and rather in in between is PVP vendors. For new people PVP vendors can be very useful, if you play the warzones quite a bit, get around 450 points playing them and you can aquire a few tidy items at the normal PVP vendors. But by far, the best place and how I get most of my upgrades is to go to the galactic markets. Now at first, these look daunting, but there not really. Just right click On one station, to get the menu, leave top blank . Pick What sort of item you looking for, say a new chestguard. So pick Armour, then type of armour you and companion wear, light medium or heavy. Now pick a slot, maybe you have no head gear? pick "head", now you can leave the rest for now, apart from the standard of kit you require, if at all possible, try and pick "Premium", if credits allow, later, you can afford to buy prototypes, but they always quite high price. But, anyway, now look at premuim headgear, mouse over the pic of one, that is at your level or very near it, it will show you the change in stats, to the one you are wearing,If you arent wearing any head gear, then any purchase at your level, will give a good boost to your overall armouring. You will come to a time, when you will want to sell stuff on the market too, but thats a little more complicated, as some things you cant sell, and you need to spend time on comparing prices asked. people tend to buy & sell items on galactic market from lvl 15 upwards, below that level, unless they prototype or have good "Custom" mods, they sometimes not worth the outlay. On questions of crew skills, This needs a lot of thought, and like me, probably you will try differant combos in your lifetime. There is a posting by some one on crew skills and the best combos for your class. Im trying this now for my trooper and Elara companion, + the droid and Aric. Biochem - bio analysis -Scavenging. This selection is based more on Elara's capabilties Than anything else, it seems. I am still very much a learner to crew skills, and modifications I havent even been there yet But I have Just sold 6 items for 3,500 credits just now on the galactic market, so Im well pleased That I got my prices about right. doesn't pay to be too greedy, or you wont sell much! Finally, you bound to get the odd ball being a nuisance in most MMORGS, just ignore, dont get into any fracas OOC, its isnt worth it. (out of character). I do have one tip, keep the person's name on a bit of paper, after you loaded up your charactor above what there armour and fire power should be, go and let him try a dual. I say this, because when I was level 17, On coroscant, I had this person, near the Senate tower, ask to dual me twice. I had just upgraded myself with an item that had added 300+ armour to me LOL. So I thought, "Ok" "Bring it on!" My oh my!, "I won the dual" And he ran off faster than a Hutt on a skateboard:D. he never bothered me again:p Hope some of this has made some sense, if not, keep trying, it will come with experience and determination. AliceTvirus Ltn Trooper lvl29^
  9. Printscreen , seems to be limited to a few captures, before Mine stops dead, I do send them, renamed to my documents, but I find it more reliable if I am wanting more than a few, to go windowed Mode, and use "Snippping Tool" To drag The mouse across the edges of the scene I want to take. Of course, this is rather a pain if its in the middle of an action, I tend to use it Just for when Im talking to general Garza, and taking pics of the best looking scenes to send to my friends on FB, to get them to try it out
  10. Sorry havent been in Community as much As I would Like, just to say about the Command for quitting a guild, its /Gquit - not - /gquit. Its uppercase "G", cos when I found that out I was able to leave the one I was in. /gquit don't work for me, but /Gquit does? I enjoy the warzones, and it gives me Pvp rewards to purchase better gear. I hardly do group missions now, to much hassle, But I do sometimes latch on to a single, trying to finish "Enemies of the republic", or similar. I batter the opposition , and let the player finish off the main character, to get the item. Now up to lvl 27, and three companions as female Ltn Trooper, some mission ends are getting quite tough, especially "Sith Inquisitors charactors", Who tend to freeze me for almost 20 seconds, and then knock me over!! Got to love Elara my new Companion, she likes to quote me regulations, and is a bit feisty at times, But shes great to have along side, and has good healing powers. How do you find Elara as a companion Guys? Still loving my Star wars Experiance:)
  11. Thought this was good thread, to add some comments too: I Play many games as A female, The difference with what I seen in posts here, that guys prefer the actual attire & voices in SWTOR. But , in my case, I am, or used to be when younger a Trannie, So for many years, Shopping real life for female clothes, was always a very enjoyable part of the Life style. I Play my display name TaylorNova on an other EA game online, and I play him as a guy, namely after Taylor from Terra Nova. In Sec. Life was always a female for 5 years I was in it, and been in charge of combat groups within the urban combat community. I think, that as long as you are honest, and don't get to a point where I did , many years ago, when I fell in love with another female in the old text type games of old, There is no harm in it, and certainly brings many peoples real life tendencies out playing this game. But imagine, me and this girls shock and sadness, (which my Wife did warn me about) When, One day, my love, who lived in Texas, said "I have something to tell you, because its eating away at me." My heart sank, because I almost knew what she was going to say. he took a long time, to finally get it out, but he said I am not The girl whom we had shared many comments, in game and in private chat. He still thought I was a real girl too, so it was only appropriate that I tell him, "I'm Sorry, for I, To am a feminine guy, and have had troubled thoughts on misleading you. Obviously after 3-6 months of being so close, it actually came to hammer blow to us both, because we did care about each other, and often would stand up for each other, or help in different ways. Of course my Wife, who knows all about me, and has no problem with my orientation, "See! I told you so,Now you both Hurt, by making a false relationship." She was indeed right, we were both gutted, to say the least, but learn't a valuable lesson. Nowadays in certain situations, I always tell someone if I get close to them , I am not real female. Surprisingly, being more prevalent in MMORG'S than ever, many player's Accept that fact, some even thanking me for my honesty. Bottom line is I play all my Alice Clones from res Evil, as her, because Im a huge fan of Mila, and I want to kick , the baddies ***, But I also want to show the other side of Alice, who wants to help , even if it costs her ,her very life. I enjoy , being a female trooper, confronting male and female enemies, plus interacting with my companions makes my Star Wars Story A truly inspirational experience. So far, I don't get interactivity with real players, Im not in a guild, and im hopeless doing group missions, except in warzones, where Im trying to get as good as I was in WoW, I find a rather imbalanced feel to the warzones, with players, same lvl as me, defeating me with 1850 damage. Im armored to the teeth , as far my knowledge, and galactic buys to upgrade will let me. Modifications, Im still in the dark, really And dont really want to get involved with that, I make items using mechtech and Svavenging, Buts thats the limit of my technolgy knowledge at this time. Hope this comment is useful to the thread. "Have A safe and pleasant Stay!";)
  12. Nazdika, if, like me, your friend is in SL, then you must know its a very expensive game/world, I spent over 6 years £2500 in it, For land, leases, hundreds of clothes, weapons, ships, Concorde harriers, Aircraft & For urban combat and Gorean sims. SL remains broken 80% of the time, and as my main pastime was owning airports and sailing in Blakes Seas areas, the constant failure to actually get to any destination, made me leave it altogether, I mean I was paying nearly £28 A week for half sim, and Linden Labs kindly lost one of my buildings overnight. How anyone can complain about the tiny sub of £8 ish per month here & get 500 cartel coins as well each month gratis, is beyond me. look at games in comparison, EA battlefields online, You have to keep paying for upgrades to health, and tank armour and other boosts all the time. Dark Orbit I used to play, bleeds you slowly out of £. When you think That me and partner probably spent £20 a month on coins even on facebook games, Im extremely happy for the value for money as a subscriber This game gives. This amazing game, is even better than EVE online, its not so technical, You have your own ship, at some point,, on world missions, and offworld fleet battles to, not to mention the warzones, which I love, although Liked the WoW ones as well. The other point, is, ok some guilds are not quite what some people want out a guild, But, hey. I got Aric to keep me company and my ships droid, which I just been sending out on missions to scavenge, and then Aric does some Armstech, The droid does his best LOL, quite funny moments in here, plus some baddies, that want to melt you into crushed metal, altogther, one of the few games, i really got my teeth into at a price i can afford:)
  13. Been playing this a while now, and since I started space missions, and found out more about particular parts of SWOR, mainly techie stuff, and work arounds to make my charactor and and companion more effective and durable, its hard to get me out of the Chair. But, I do find, the younger players, and the more experienced ones, need to learn p\atience ( good old Obi Quote), silver surfers, who, like me, Are doing our best, but, Im not really understanding group fighting missions, except in warzones, I get kicked from groups, because No one bothers to take me through the ropes on what to do. the guild i joined, did the same, kicked me from a group they made, because I got lost. Now no one chats to me any longer, and I cant leave the guild as I cant? The command don't work to leave the guild, so im stuck in it forever it seems, sent a ticket, about it, but all I got back was an automated message saying read forums, What happened to live Mods that were in WoW? I helped a guy out today, but I was blocked from following him into the main end mission area, thus i couldnt do anything to help. needless to say he perished, and he was quite abusive and said fuu, so I dont join in any groups any longer, I keep myself to myself, along with my ships droid and companion. Noobs are never liked or helped in guilds or groups, they expect you know everything, and they often forget they were noobs once. Otherwise very happy with game play and missions, some lag at times, but not a great deal so far. Next week upgrading my old 19inch fujitsu Monitor to a 22inch HD Widescreen, (my easter treat ) so hoping for even better looking game, than on this old screen with some dead pixels. Already pre orded the new Hutt digital download, as Im a huge Hutt fan
  14. cheers again Guys, so helpful tips, I wish I could have you as Companions:) Certainly check out the guild Quiz url, and the link about Guilds. Fortunately One of the officers in my group, I Threatened to Throw to a Tusken raider If he kept ignoring Alice here soon sent me an invite as soon as I logged in my smuggler Alice clone. So, for now," I'm as you were", so to speak, Im glad in one way, as I I'm not a guild hopper, But will keep your invitations in mind. All I need do, is pick myself of the floor of my first Combat zone floor, which happened to be some sort of Hut Football, Where do these people of my level, get such powerful weapons?, they can take you out in a few shots, I have nothing like that, And I bought 2 newcomer packs one of AliceT whos a trooper, and wanted a speeder, and my smuggler Umbrella clone, who wanted same, as far as modding weapons up, I still need to learn more about this process, although I have started to train the crew skills suggested in one of the forum pages, looks I need to seriously find out why I get defeated so quick in the raids/combat zones. I wouldnt say Im that lightly armed or have weak armour, unless these other players are using these buyable stim upgrades, which I dont, only med packs, because I just dont earn enough credits to keep buying these items. But at all my charactors at 14 or under, Its going to be a while, before i get into serious rewards, like in WoW, seems the same type of economy in many respects. So I leave you to carry on, and again, thanks for all the help on this thread Love from The three Umbrella Alice's:D "Imperial troops have entered the base"!
  15. Well thanks Guys for the advice, Unfortunately I haven't got access to another computer, only dual screens, which I use those for Flight Sim X., and hard wired Fibre Optic Internet. But the real problem as you point out, that I have politely asked Twice in officer chat & and to two Ranking officers in whispers, if They could invite My Smuggler, But no one reply's even after an hour of waiting. To be honest, Im not sure I want to be in guilds here, because I joined 2 before this one, and promptly got kicked out of them after a few minutes. It seems Guilds in Star Wars want members to be joined at the hip, and follow them around as a group, well, that's not how I work, as a mature Gal,(TaylorNova is misleading, its only because I am a Terra Nova fan, smiles) because Like in WoW, I love being in a guild, I do raids and other jobs, that earn me guild credits & loyalty, But I am not badgered to Join in group raids/ dungeons as such, unless I want to partake. I live very much on my own in WoW, but, The guild seems to have no trouble with that, and since I been with them a year or more, They dont seem annoyed that I dont always go on group missions, But I do get points towards my guild, by winning "Capture the flag raids". In This game, it seems, if you don't follow your group to where they are like lemmings, even though You may have up to 7 of your own missions on the board, They just kick you out. Without a proper list of guilds, which you can browse and see what they require of you in terms of service, I dont see how anyone, can possibly know What standing the guild has, that people sends invites too? In fact I have been pestered by some players, who send me the same invite three times in 20 minutes, as if they are desperate to enlist a level 14 trooper:D On the other hand if there is a guild Listening to what I am saying, and would like a seasoned battle scarred Gal in there group, I may be interested, But I am no tech wizkid, having only just found out how to use /stuck, to get me out of a mountain crevice! Haha. I may know how to Fly a Boeing 737 To Spain and land it, in Flight sim, but it doesnt mean I'm an ace with everything thats thrown at me:p regards Alice
  16. Thanks Zoist, I already asked in my guild, for her to be invited, but for some annoying reason, it falls on deaf ears, and its ignored. Its rather a shame, because the sort of hide and seek fighting a Smuggler does, suits my type of combat style I done before, which also includes some Gorean Scouting in Gor lands. Its also rather disconcerting there's 92 members, but on a typical uk evening, only 6-10 are ever on. Im not experienced enough to do recruiting and helping that many, especially with tec or modifications, although went up to lvl 42 Paladin in WoW, This game is much more interactive and needs some understanding of the way it works, which is quite differant. Just wish I could invite my other charactor myself, just by finding her name, only thing is to befriend her, but I dont think you can just enter someones name , as in second life. and up pops there profile, where you can click add friend or if i own a group i can invite that member into my group, here, seems to be a bit lacking in abilties to find people, by typing in there name to bring up their Bio, oh well, back to the drawing board. thanks anyway
  17. This may sound stupid, but, How /or where do you find the list of active Guilds. I want to invite my second character, a Smuggler into a guild, where I have been made up to officer, although green a bit to Star wars, Im a 5 year old veteran as an admin and mentor in a virtual world combat group, so its nice to be trusted:) But without having two instances of the game open, which I am not sure is legal,( In second life it is), I really have no idea how to invite One of my own characters into the guild I am in. I been to coro, but only saw a vendor, that makes guilds, Not shows a list of them, so My smuggler can apply, and I can accept her, my guild seems to be unable to help on this. can anyone tell me if im barking up the wrong tree or something. Thanks
