  1. They wouldn't waste their time doing that, especially when they don't need to. These people have hundreds of disposable F2P accounts, most of which will be credit farming using bots, all they then need to do to get around the F2P restrictions is click on someones referal link. Instant 7 day sub that removes the F2P restrictions, they get all of their credits out of storage, and they can now send all of it to their "banker" accounts. That then leaves them free to spam the mail for 7 days until they get banned or the 7 days is up, in which case that account goes back to farming. Why give yourself trouble trying to "hack" or code something when the game gives you the tools already.
  2. You should have lost all of your companions when you started KotFE, but if you started it after the launch of 5.0 then there was a bug that let you keep them, sadly that bug was "fixed" in a recent patch. I think if you got past chapter one of KotFE before the fix then you get to keep your companions, both for summoning and on your ship, but I suspect that as you get further into both KotFE and KotET the more of them you are going to lose.
  3. Like many so called MMO's at it's heart it's just a single player story driven game, at some point the developers or publishers decided to cash in on the MMO craze, and bolted on PVP and some group content, then dumped it on a game server or two and called it an MMO.
  4. No real surprise, that link in your sig is the perfect tool for the credit sellers, they can take any of their hundreds of throw away F2P farmers, click on that link and instant seven day mail spammer.
  5. Almost all of the spammer/farmer accounts are F2P, to get around the restrictions they just click on a referral link. They will have a couple of sub accounts, but those they will be keeping out of the "limelight", as those will hold all of their credits and they wont want to lose them.
  6. OP what you propose wont change anything, as long as CM items, Cartel packs and the items in them can be put on the GTN, then you will always have inflation, and credit sellers. Many people are "desperate" to own the items in the packs, but most refuse to pay real cash on a gamble, and as a result will bust a nut getting the credits to buy them.
  7. This is just like the Delta Recruit event Star Trek Online ran over a year ago, replaying the story line to unlock rewards didn't go down well over there either.
  8. The races are faction and class specific, as an example if you want to play as a Chiss, then you need to play one as either a Bounty Hunter or Imp Agent and get it to level 50, then you will be able to use the Chiss race for any of the other classes.
  9. Same incentive they had when they used Pando, bandwidth fees for a patch server can be huge, so using the players own bandwidth with a p2p client is much cheaper.
  10. It's nothing more than a stripped down bit torrent client, pretty much the same idea as Pando Media Booster (probably made by the same people). The first issue is that as it's a torrent client some ISP's see the multiple IP connections as piracy traffic and will block or slow down data transfer. Main issue that caused me to remove it, was you can't turn it off, second you start SWTOR then bitraider is running in the background, not a big problem you might say, until you find out that nobody else in the house can connect to the internet as this PoS has hijacked all of the bandwidth.
  11. Maybe he was one of the exploiters that didn't get caught, and you've just given him 100k for what is in effect "stolen property".
  12. Nothing new about this, for a few years now game developers have been finding that OWPVP is bad for the health of their game, especially when that game is basically a single player PVE game. The gankers and griefers move in and basically chase off the player base, as a result some companies will close those servers, lack of players makes keeping them open a waste of money. BioWare at least have tried to keep the servers alive with this change, rather than closing them and forcing character transfers to PVE servers.
  13. The Sith Zabrak have around 9 skin colors, with 2,3 & 4 being reds, so how the hell have you got 25 showing on your screen cap.
  14. In STO I have 3 lvl50 fed toons and 1 lvl50 kdf toon, all 4 are using the free tier 4 ships you get at lvl40 with mk 10 & 11 green and blue gear. I don't do PvP or groups (same goes for here on TOR) so my gear is about as good as it will get for me, yet I do take my kdf into Ker'rat to do the daily dillithium missions we get, yet despite being in an underpowered BoP I have no problem killing P2W fed ships with mk 12 purple gear, it's getting the "get killed x times by the feds" daily I have issues with, I usually end up just sitting there and let them kill me. Hands up here who would kit out thier knight/warrior with light armor set for another class, and then give them a pistol to fight with, I'm not expecting to see any hands btw. That is what you have in STO, so it's not really a case of unbalanced, more a case of idiots that haven't a clue, and all because they want to emulate Jean-Luc or James T.
  15. Try checking your facts before posting the expansion is free to everyone, the Legacy & Starter packs are full of new shiny toys for the air-heads to buy.
