  1. I am an Inquisitor Assassin and tried it at level 19. Died too often. Then levelled to lvl 20 and tried again. died over and over and over. Problem is that the stupid broodmaster keeps spawning all those little ones and hey, they are lvl 18 and ok so I am a normal player and my armor and for my companion are as good as I can possibly get or upgrade. I do a lot of farming to make some money but still, maybe it is all still not enough. I hate PvP so tht is not a solution. I am kind of deflated because I really love this game but after dying sooooo often I am just depressed. I have been fighting bosses all along and am doing well with all them them. Every time there is a mob with a star on it I go for it. So I think that Broodmaster is just overpowered. OK there are those people who say it is sooooo easy, but really, I don't think I am the only one having problems.
  2. I was short just 3 commendations to get a weapon a needed/wanted. Unfortunately I had finished doing all the quests already in the area so my question is: Is there any way to get extra quests/repeat quests/or something to get some extra commendations. Anyway, in the currency area on the top it says something about 'add Cartel Coins'. I clicked for the explanation but it never does anything. So I assumed Cartel Coins is something where you can maybe buy stuff with, like a good weapon because I cannot get it without the extra three points. So I go buy Cartel Coins. But it does not seem to let me buy anything. It just gives a glossy page of all kinds of crap I could buy with it, which I could anyhow buy if I needed/wanted this stuff. So really Cartel Cons seem to be pretty useless. WAste of money I guess. Then there are these vendors that stand around selling Legacy items. I have not idea what that means either. Do I have to go the old fashioned way of 'buying gold' and maybe get ripped off like in the 'old days' ?
  3. Just wondering about companions affection. My companion told me bluntly that he would 'devour' me and that he is kind of sick of me etc, voicing kind of hatred. His affection to me is like 15 or something, but I have not had him for all that long I am only lvl 11. I lost 30 affection points in one hit when I gave an answer to a 'Lord' that was the only reasonable answer I could give without getting me killed, and my companion did 'not like it' apparently. Anyway, if a companion does not like you, is he only less effective or can he leave? Can he kill you and leave? What is more important, keeping my companion happy or making sure that as an Imperial I do ot turn out to be too 'good' for my own good?
  4. Thanks, that is a great help. I do not have a ship yet and am currently in the jungle not quite at the Kaas city. But when I get there I will find a cantina (I don't see the dev's logic though, how can a cantina of all places be 'private' lol)
  5. Companion keeps on saying that he wants to speak to me in private. I can go 'private', i.e. somewhere in the bush or far away from people and the stupid idiot will still say "need to speak to you". I even am losing affection points because he wants to talk to me but never does. Is that a glitch or what? Is there some command that I have not found yet where I give a companion 'permission' to talk?
  6. Thank you so much for your reply. It was just strange that suddenly I did not have a companion without explanation or anything, like the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Thanks for reply
  7. I am a Jedi Knight char and originally had the T7 as companion and then the girl as new companion. Anyway, doing the quest to find Lord Tannis (the traitor) I had to go to the place the 'Works' in quest "Race to the Ruins". AT that stage, my companion simply just disappeared. Now I am without companion. (btw I am lvl 14). So is this normal? Am I supposed to do this part of the story without a companion? Or is this a glitch? Or is there something I have to do to get my companion back?
  8. Oh wow this is incredible news. This game is getting better and better. It is one of the features I loved most in Guild Wars (unfortunately it is not in the latest version). Whilst I love playing with friends, a lot of the time they are all on at different times to when I am on and I am stuck. I am only level 9 so hopefully I did not miss the companion bit and thought maybe it was somebody wanting to group with me and it may have been inconvenient at the time so I would have said no. (Like if dinner was nearly ready or these 'human' needs we have lol). Thanks for replies, the population on SWOTR seems to be 'great' too, well - most of them I guess
  9. I have been playing for a few days and now scanned the website properly and came across something about 'companions'. Are these computer generated companions that you can pick and have with you (kind of like in the earlier Guild Wars?) Anyway, if it is, how do you get these companions, what do you need to do to get one (btw, you get one or two or what?)
  10. This is probably a really dumb question but I have a new Bounty Hunter and love it except I have these two skills "Vent Heat" and "Rocket Punch" and they don't seem to do anything. I can try using them with pressing both mouse sides, or together with another skill, etc etc and both of those just make me stand there like an idiot and get fired on. What am I doing wrong? The Vent Heat keeps on saying 'not ready yet' but how can that be, I did not use it yet! The Rocket Punch is supposed to 'engage the jetpack allowing you to strike..... etc' but when I click it it does absolutely nothing. Also, when I Heal, it suddenly starts blasting this heat out of my one glove which seems great except that is 'only usable out of combat'. I am puzzled.
  11. I desperately need to see a trainer because I have lots of point s. Anyway, I simply cannot find a trainer. I look on the map and it shows for instance a trainer on -32,-52 Sith Academy area. But I can stand on -32,-52 and there is no trainer! The trainer on the map kind of shows a bit dim so I thought ok maybe under or over, but I went up and down and still cannot find it. I also looked inside the Sith Academy and went to where it shows on map there, but that spot on the map is not even inside the Academy area!
  12. Thank you very much for your help. BTW this is a GREAT game! Found it purely by chance, an acquaintance mentioned it. Was having withdrawal symptoms because could not find a decent game to play
  13. I am a level 5 Jedi Consular and to purchase a weapon each and every weapons dealer only sells me weapons that "require training saber". So here I am still using my beginning sword/saber and cannot get anything a little stronger because everything requires that training saber. So how do I get a 'training saber"???
