  1. No one can play the expansion if you didn't buy it, f2p or subscribers.
  2. It's a dlc and it IS in line with other DLCs out there price wise. For subscribers, 10.00 is not too much for a dlc.
  3. Really, I don't remember in any of the movies, pointy shoulders on any of the sith or shoulder armor on any of the troopers or BHs that struck straight out. I'm in agreement with most everyone else, this stuff, except a few pieces looks hideous.
  4. Wow, just wow. Let me guess, you play all your characters on the Empire side and achieve 100% dark side points.
  5. Uninstall the entire game and reinstall everything.
  6. When we have speeders, why would we want animal mounts. This isn't fantasy.
  7. I have sold everything I have put on the GTN from the packs.
  8. Wow, only someone who doesn't play this game or is trolling would delete items worth credits on the GTN. Good job,
  9. NO...that is NOT what I said. I said it's the server. You're reasoning is flawed completely. My machine and my connection are NOT what is making the client crash.
  10. R1 or R2, the R1 graphics card is not the same as the R2 nor is the processor the same. I have no problem running on high settings, no lag unless I'm on fleet and there are 250 people in the instance.
  11. I haven't had the problem until today and noticed it quite frequently on my imperial agent. This is definitely a Bioware issue.
  12. I'd say absolutely not. This game is not optimized. You need a real graphics card not an on board chip.
  13. I have a top of the line Alienware, fresh install and I'm also getting dropped from the game so a fresh install is not going to work. The servers are not able to handle the load, pure and simple.
  14. Alienware M14X R2. US dollars 899.00, refub by Alienware. Runs the game fine.
  15. We play sith more and we're a small group that welcomes newcomers to our guild. We're friends, treat people in our guild as friends and are keeping it small. Our allied guild is 200 strong. That doesn't allow for people to make close friends. Come join us on Ebon Hawk. My Empire names are Cirienne, Pharenne, Terenni, and Keni'Adron. My pub side characters are Arisable, Eljarelle, Amileih, and Meege. The Empire guild is called The Children of the Empire. The Republic guild is called The Black Court. You can play any character you want and I am almost always online after 5pm EST. I am the guild leader of both guilds. In fact, I am in game right now on Cirienne and I don't have a problem forming a new character to group with anyone through the starting planet. Of course that character will be deleted once off starting planet because I have one of each class already. We also get together to decide what we want to do and we do have a facebook page, look for The Black Court and send a member request.
  16. I came back after taking 6 months off and I'm enjoying the game a lot. I like the crafting system, my only beef is that you have to have a lot of credits to send your companion out on missions and then to have them fail. They should never fail a mission and materials should be readily avaiable so I don't have to spend all my credits in the GTN getting my people armored up. Everyone of my characters, except my smuggler and my trooper have adaptive gear on, I have 8 characters. I love the adaptive gear from the market and I'm willing to pay for it. My sith warrior and inquisitor look nothing like sith and that is very cool, in fact I was getting comments about how much my sith warrior is liked for her independent look. I also loved the jedi knight armor in the trailor and now have it in adaptive gear on my jedi knight. Cartel market, well I won't say how much I've spent but my characters all have pets, love pets, and I've gotten a lot of credits from other things I have sold, speeders etc. And I am a subscriber. I'm glad I don't have to play a species up to level 50 to unlock it for other classes and factions. I just buy what I want to unlock. That was smart on Bioware's part. Now I can have any species I want. I have a Mirialan sith warrior and sith inquisitor, a Rattataki smuggler and have Chiss unlocked too. I love that. I think I may make a Chiss trooper. I spent about an hr in f2p before the restrictions forced me into subscribing so I said, why not subscribe for a month and see how it goes. Within a week of playing, I was subscribed for 6 months. I am completely enjoying the game. I was playing GW2 for 6 months and though I love the combat in that game, it is the stories that draw me back to SWTOR and the incredible voice acting. I don't predict doom and gloom for this game. In fact, some of the people who were in GW2 with me have returned to SWTOR. We enjoy both games but at times you definitely need a break from a game to realize what it is you liked to begin wtih and with the Elder Scrolls coming out sometime in the future, I will be splitting my time between TOR and ESO but I will be here and I will continue to support the game by spending money in the market. One thing I don't like is all the criticism about the market. Really, GW2 has a market. Want to know what you get in their chests, not a damned thing worth keeping, in fact I threw most of it out. I have gotten armor from the cartel market, packs with speeders for all of my characters that look much better than the ones being sold and I'm supporting the game so it will continue onward. I'm looking forward to the Cathar species if they give us enough customization in the menu so they don't all look the same. I'd like to see more classes added but I don't believe that will happen but why not enjoy it for what it is. I've never played WOW so I can't compare SWTOR or GW2 to anything else but I have seen EQ2 being played and frankly, no big thrill there. This is much more fun. The worst thing about the game is the repair costs for OPs and FPs. I think that is ridiculous and Bioware really needs to bring that in line with other MMOs. In GW2, an entire wipe cost 1 silver 60 coppers for each member of the 5 member team. That is about 8 silver total, a comparison with SWTOR would be about 80K credits for the entire team. SWTOR is no where near in line with other games when it comes to repair costs and they need to re-evaluate their position on this. I also think they need to re-evaluate their quality control team. I know they are on a mini team now, but they need to have QA set up to test things before they go live, not after, and so far the events I've seen are for higher level players unless you want to get wiped. There is no way I'm taking a lower level player to Tattoine for an event just to get beat down and pay repair costs, etc. They need to make events that are for the masses. I lost my account so I had to start fresh. I wasn't about to wait online for 3 hrs trying to get my account back. Which leads me to the next thing that is wrong. Customer service truly stinks. It is ridiculous. I came into one time where one CS rep said one thing and a supervisor got back to me and said, no my agent wouldn't say that. I replied, oh no, then why would any sane person forward this information. EA needs to step in and re-evaluate the customer service team as they are not doing their jobs and if I were their boss, they wouldn't survive at the company for long. Bad customer service is the bane of MMOs and a reason for their downfall. People want to be helped, not after waiting three hours on the phone or waiting 2 weeks for an email response. The entire team would be fired and probably should be. I'm back and enjoying the game but with the realization that they have major problems. I'm not complaining about the problems, I'm enjoying the game despite the problems.
  17. Ebon Hawk server, I have a newly formed guild on both sides, but are you Europe? I'm America, east coast. You're welcome to join our guild, The Black Court. We are always working in group. I have a brand new smuggler on Ord Mantell that I am leveling alone right now and a trooper just off Ord Mantell. My knight and consular are further along. There are 3 of us, usually 2 that play together all the time. We'd welcome another. We are also the Children of the Empire on Empire side. I have a sith inquisitor just entered Dromund Kaas, but I'm willing to wait for you to catch up if you're on my server. We have mumble for voice chat and don't care if you're f2p. It doesn't matter to us. Send me a private message if you're on Ebon Hawk and want some company. Edit: Just saw you are on a different server, you should come to Ebon Hawk. My little group does FPs and all Heroics. We will probably get friends together when we are at level 50 from a different guild to do OPs.
  18. Dulfy is my favorite site for both TOR and GW2. It's been a vast source of knowledge for me.
  19. Now mind you, I ask my guildmates first if they want something I get in a pack. If they do, I make nothing on it, I give it to them. Not going to sell stuff to my good friends. Credits in this game are easy to come by. I don't do Ops so I don't get the huge repair bills but I'll gladly help fund someone's ridiculous repair bills from Ops. They certainly do need the extra credits. So if someone on Ebon Hawk got that belt and gloves and sold them for 250K good for you. I'm thinking that someone needed them to complete their set and were pretty damned happy to find them at such a good price.
  20. I play the game for fun, enjoyment. If I want to work, I'll work at my engineering job. I buy packs because I want the pets and the speeders, nothing more. I have the extra money to spend on the market so I do it. If you put something on ebay that you think is a fair price and you sell it, then it doesn't matter what happens to said product afterwards. I don't care what happens to the stuff I sell after I sell it. It's really not my concern.
  21. See, I think that's absolutely ridiculous. What sash and gloves are you looking for? I'm on Ebon Hawk btw.
  22. Does it matter? I didn't want it. So if I'm happy with 100K and someone makes 250K off it, good for them. It certainly wasn't me paying it. I'd never bother paying for something I think is ridiculously priced.
  23. Well happily I got my nightshade speeder early this morning for 15K but anyway, I look at the prices and undercut by about 10K for higher value items and less for lower value items. Here's the thing, I am pet crazy, love them, need one for each of my characters and of course all my guildmates and friends so I take a gamble on the packs. I got some really great stuff out of them and stuff I'd never use. I keep what I want and share with others through a good price on GTN for stuff I won't use, and I have 8 characters. I think some of the prices on GTN are ridiculous, I don't care how rare something is. If I wouldn't pay that price for something, I wouldn't feel good about charging someone else that much for the same thing. There was an armor piece for 250K each for bracers and belt. I'd never pay that. I sold mine for what I thought was reasonable, 100K each. Mine sold almost immediately, the 250K pieces are still sitting there. And yes, I am a subscriber and hope I'm helping the game out by subscribing and buying off the market and if I can help out someone who wants something but doesn't have enough credits for ridiculous prices, then I'm going to do it whether it seems like a fair market price to someone who sells way over value or not.
