I've been playing for a while now and have gotten my trooper to Illium, level 55, all with out doing a group quest or heroics, and I don't care for PvP. I've only done a few "Area" quests. I don't know how to join a group or start my own group. My question is this. I'm now given a quest to fight General Racton(?) and it is a group mission. Do I need to complete this quest in order to get to the next planet or is there another way to finish Illium?

I'd better start wearing my glasses more often. I can't believe I didn't see that "enable" button until you told me it was there! This gettin old stuff is for the birds! Thanks for the answer.

Wanted to set a new Quickbar on my screen. I've moved it to where I want it but I've forgotten how to make it visible. Its red and not green. How do I turn it green so I can see it on my screen? I've seen some other posts that say just right click it and it'll turn green and you'll be able to see it, but doing that does nothing.

I hate this damned planet and the Devs who designed it. One quest, three different arrows showing the way to the quest. Pass through one and it shows I should turn around. Turn around go back through the arrow I just came through and it says turn around. It just has me going back and forth and no other arrows to show where the hell I'm supposed to go! Been trying to figure this out for 30 minutes now!! :mad: :mad:

Yes I've somehow managed to stumble my way through, with help from people in this forum, the game and have made it to 59.

Doing The Enemy Within mission. I've done away with the single bosses now it's telling me to Complete Missions for coalition Forces. 6 of them. Where do I find these missions? I don't see anything marked on any of the Yavin maps and my Mission Log tells me nothing.

Thanks to all for all the "tips" for this quest. I found another poor frustrated soul, or they found me, and together we were able to dispatch this miserable droid in just a matter of a few minutes. In fact it was so fast I didn't realize the thing was destroyed. I thought it was just "resting!" I was able to keep the feeder droids "entertained" with my lightening show while my team mate did all the heavy work. I must say this person was very helpful and after me warning this was the first time I'd teamed on this MMO he/she didn't blink an eye, just invited me and off we went! :D

As a newer player I've managed to stumble my way though the game up to level 55. I am now at a most aggravating and frustrating quest, fighting Archon and the Isotope Droid he's in. Been in there 6 times already and all I've accomplished is several ways to die! I've read elsewhere you kill the feeder droids, put rods in a generator and you'll be able to defeat Archon. I fought those feeders many times, but don't have any rods and where the heck is this generator I'm supposed to destroy?! I started this quest with a full head of hair and about 30% of it I've pulled out! Help me before I go completely bald! :eek: :D Oh, one other thing I noticed in this quest and haven't really noticed before. I've not been getting any XP when destroying the bad droids and guys out side that Archon green quest nor the feeder droids inside. According to the XP meter at the bottom of the screen I'm only 1 point from 56 and it gets no higher.

Here I go showing my Noobness again! lol Bolster? Is that the box/panel that's near the shuttle/taxi and when you click it looks like it's targeting you? If it is I've already activated it. Does it need to be reactivated every so often or is it good the time I'm on Makeb?

My toon is a lvl 52 Sith Sorc madness, and I am a subscriber. Right now I'm trying to defeat the Prototype Isotope Droid and can't manage to keep myself or companions alive long enough to do that. I'm relatively new to SWTOR, have no concept of "crafting" so any and all armor and weapons have come only from drops. What type armor, for my toon and pets should I be looking for at the GTN or are there armorers that sell the armor that I should have? This prototype droid is just frustrating. I know what I have to do to destroy it, but I can usually only manage one round with it and never get to a second let alone a third! Between the rockets and defenders I can't keep my toon alive. My companions, including the healer always stay on the lower level and never follow me around to the top level and between dodging rockets and defenders up there, it's always bad news for me!

I'm fairly new to SWTOR and have a question about the datacrons and helping others. I've not collected any of the datacrons. I'm a lvl 51 now and am going to go back and get them. My question is, can I take a new players toon with and will they get credit for the kills I can do?

I just saw that! I was doing something work related on a desk top and at the same time sent this on a laptop. Guess I got them confused! Wonder what I sent in that desk top email!? I'm going to go with the suggestion to treat the search as stupid. I am probably typing in to much and confusing it! Thanks all for your help.

I know I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is. I can't get the GTN to work at all. I type in my name, check what I'm looking for, mark everything else all and hit search. It always comes up blank no matter what I try. If I mark specific things it's the same, search found nothing. Is there a tutorial somewhere for people like myself? I've managed to get my main toon to 51 with drops and some purchases but now I'm needing armor and weapons stronger than I can buy. What am I not doing or doing wrong?

How does one get Khem Vel to wear his armor? I've seen other players Khem in armor, but my Khem seems perfectly comfortable to wear nothing but his loin cloth and every chance he gets will lift it when a good looking female is around! He's just embarrassing! :eek:

Been collecting datacrons with 3 of my toons. Lost/misplaced my list of who has what datacrons and on what planet they got them on. Is there a way I can check to see what datacrons I've collected on each of the toons? Don't want to have to start all over again.

Could be, but this is the first time I've ever had this happen. I wasn't in a PvP area, just doing a quest I'd gotten from a contact. I had to leave the quest to do something else and left my toon at the entrance. When I came back, about 45 minutes later, I re-entered the quest fought my way back to where I'd had to quit. Helped another player, not a teammate, defeat a boss, which I've done many times. I always wait until the toon I'm helping makes the first contact and my targeting circle is white, showing that it is not my target. I believe the toon that attacked me was not the same one I'd just helped., but could this be where I got "tagged?" I'll have to look more closely when helping another player to see if it happens again.

OK. Is there some way to know if I'm attacking something tagged to prevent myself from being tagged? Is this something new they've added. I never had this happen before.

It is a bit of a pain, but having someone hack your account would be a hell of a lot worse. I have 2 machines I use, a desktop PC that I have the game on and use to play, and my laptop I use to access the forums. Every time I use the laptop I need to get and use the one time password, the PC never. I don't think the length of time it takes for you to get your PW is the fault of the game, I'd be questioning your ISP and the timespan for checking for your email. I normally have about a 5 - 10 minute wait from my ISP, with 5 minutes or less being the most time I wait. Using my laptop today it took about 2 -3 minutes.

What's this? Haven't been on in a couple weeks. Played last night, got an upload before starting, and while on two of the quests I did, both times, a player at least 5 - 6 levels above me was in there and killed me. No answer to why, no challenge to duel just jumped out and proceeded to beat on my toon. After hiding in a corner and resurrecting my toon I saw a message on the screen "you have been untagged for PvP" or something like that. I don't do PvP, never have on this game or any other MMO and none of my toons is built for PvP. How is it a toon can be "tagged" for PvP by another that can be any level? Doesn't seem right that a level 40, 50 or 60 toon can just come into a quest and kill a toon 20 -30 levels below them. Is there a setting I need to change to keep this from happening again?

I can't seem to search for anything on the GTN. I fill in all the boxes, hit search and no matter what I'm searching for it comes up blank. Am I missing something and just don't see it?

Trying to send mail between my characters and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I type the characters name in the TO box, yes it's spelled correctly, and it always comes back character not found/does not exist or something like that, Is there something else I need to put in that TO box or what am I doing wrong?

Geeze, so the servers went down. Some of you people WHINE like they did it on purpose! Stuff happens people and no matter how hard they try to keep it running every once and a while this happens. I was playing in the middle of a quest and it locked up on me. NO BIG DEAL! First time something like this has happened to me since I started playing a few months ago. Noticed the mail wasn't working today, didn't complain about that just sitting back, knowing that they'll fix it. Not complaining (WHINING, like some cheese to go along with that whine?) the server is down. They'll fix it. You people cry and whine like this when your car breaks down and it takes a day or two to fix it? Poor mechanics!
