I have tried them all, I'm primarily a Merc/Mando at heart, You know, the class voted FOTM 10/12 months the last 2 years running? But I always needed a tank if I wanted to get into PVE action without waiting, so I went Jugg/Guard (and could finally use corruptor blades). I'm ok but not great. Then PVP came to me in the last couple of years. Tanking in PVP is ok but not totally satisfying. But the Jugg skank PVP action is AWESOME! Search, read, do.

I'm interested in this. I am willing to do any planet, usually evenings 6-9 pacific. Usually on imp side but can do either. have been solo farming npcs as never any opposition on pvp instance. All of my toons start with Goast, most often on Goastmer

Also there can be a lot of bozos in general chat. Don't let that discourage you from asking for help. there is always one person in game that will help for every 3-4 unhelpful sorts. Also, finding a guild to be a part of will also add to your experience if its a good one. Looking through this forum was a great step.

I'm interested, i used to play a lot of PVE but don't have time for scheduled teams of PVE anymore. I have been running PVP exclusively now for the last 6 months. All of my toons start with Goast but I have been mostly on my sage or sorc. Let me know which faction you run.

yes, nice job, I mostly pve'd in the past but hope to PVP because of my schedule. I read the whole thing. I would also like to know of a pvp guild on harbinger that might want a new guy.

He is not saying back to back. Unload/full auto has a longer cast time (about double) and requires more energy (about double) than any other cast in the rotation. So you don't hit it back to back, you hit it once and it takes up 2 GCD's

Are you augmented fully on all 14 pieces? Are you able to follow the rotation from dulfy? I personally remember having the same questions you have been asking. When your answer is Yes to both of my questions some of your questions will answer themselves. I hope you are in a good guild with some helpful people. Also work that rotation at least 5 times a day no matter what. Set your activation time to 1.0 and let your cast finish on blazing bolts or whatever Full Auto is called impside, (lol) APM will increase with repetition. Have fun, it will get better.

Commando has been my main for 2 years now and I always amaze myself in how hard I fight trying a new rotation. In the end I must always remember to slow down and get the rotation and THEN get the APM not the other way around. Since 3.0 came out I was stuck on Gunnery because AS was too hard for me to do without running out of energy, even though I had been looking at this thread since it's post. So I could get a 3900-4000 if I got lucky and didn't run out of energy on AS. I could do that on Gunnery almost without effort. Then I remembered to stop being lazy and work hard for results. I printed out the page from Dulfy's site that these guys made. Study it. Slow it down and don't skip anything. After 2 parses I was at 4400 and my APM was 35. After 5 more I was at 4600 and almost 36 APM. I never had an energy problem. I have only practice from here to improve APM and little tweaks. Thanks guys for your initial efforts and all of your encouragement throughout this thread to finally get through my lazy skull. Why this isn't a sticky I do not know.

Similar to a dye slot or augment slot in armor weapons, relics, implants and earpieces, I would like a slot to add the ability to change from bound to bound to legacy. I would pay for such a quality of life item.

I agree with OP. I also agree with the people stating BW doesn't care about PVP which is sad. I love this game and hope they find a way to keep ALL of the players playing.

I consider my self a pretty good player. That said there is no way I could make it to level 55 through class story even with 12XP in level 15 gear. I have trouble with gear 10 levels back. Now I have seen people wear crap gear so they can justify "needing" on drops but I'm not buying it as a legit noob made it to lvl 55 without gear, sorry.

funny you say that, I have been feeling lately that I either have been getting better at apm or something is different but usually when that happens I find its me just making small mistakes. Seems like I have been mixing in more hammer shot lately even though I don't see any reduction of dps. I will be curious to see how this turns out

C-zero can be tricky, you need to open your awareness a bit and you will not have that problem any longer. Try these things: always focus target C-Zero after first trash mobs, there is a patern of the mines, you have to keep a mental count of them, it goes like this 3 mines-> grav field-> 1 mine-> grav field-> 4 mines-> grav field-> 1 mine-> grav field. He gives audible que's when he is about to cast the grav field such as "I have everything I need to destroy you" and "You are about to witness true agony". Always remember to jump your way out of the circle too. Hope it helps, I know its a tough one to get comfortable with ;-)

I could have give up some surge to get some alacrity but thinking of 144 blows my mind, are you getting that from augments because now we are discussing dropping main stat for alacrity. In answer to the OP on Crit, I am pretty set with 186 gear (a few A mods) but if I venture much above or below 200 crit , my 1mil dummy dps drops off considerably. I am currently running 197 crit, all surge (about 580) no alacrity, and I keep my accuracy at 400 (pub side doesn't have offhand weapon, stay 440 on imp) and get 3500's consistently with gunnery. As I leveled up to my current gear, I never added any crit at all until I had all underworld gear. and then maybe a crystal. Once at all 180 I went to 197 crit.

I don't find this true. I'm, only about 100-200 apart. Dummy parsing (w/ 1mil and armor pen debuff) Assault 3500-3600 and Gunnery 3400-3500. Broke 2700 w/ gunnery on NiM Draxus last night (personal best). I probably suck at assault now that I run gunnery so much.

I used this for getting back to gunnery after assault spec for so long. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=737664 I now switch back and forth between assault and gunnery for different fights and feel getting used to both is crucial to being a good commando. I'm happy to bounce ideas too.

I'm wondering if we are doing something wrong. Our Guild ship is at Ilum. When I am on Ilum I get the support buff. But When I look at the conquest codex tab, it says invading none and none of the bonuses are happening for Ilum. Am I missing a step or do I need help from BW?

Kwerty, what about stacking? Does stacking happen say from two players (Slinger and Gunnery mando or even 2 gunnery) on one boss?
